MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 80: Big Guy V/S Small Guy

Entering the room, the first thing that came into my vision was a bright white room with the furniture, the bed, the windows, the floor and the roof, all coloured or decorated in white. It was akin to princess-story rooms that were told in the folktales.

Except for the leaves of the white flowers, and a few other accessories here and there that seemed to be oddly mixing in with the white background. Lastly, the bodies of the assassins that were thrown here and there randomly.

Since everyone is ignoring that, I should too.

The next thing that I saw were the children.

Two twins. One boy and one girl, each wearing a bluish-white dress that matched Alexandra, with cute blue masks that covered their faces. They were eating a candy of sorts while their eyes had turned to Alexandra first, who had arrived, before turning to me, as they pondered who I was.

Amara Bellimore. Samantha Bellimore. I recalled their names and bits of their information before turning to the last person, standing quietly beside the kids.

An old butler, about 60 years old, wearing a long bluish-black overcoat over his casual three-piece dress. Despite being aged, I could see that he was quite skilled, perhaps even better than Alexandra herself.

The butler looked at me for a few seconds, his eyes trying to see through me, before focusing back on Alexandra, who seemed to be more alert than before.

"Were they here for the kids?" She asked, almost hoping that was the reason. It wasn't that she wanted the kids to be in danger, but that if this wasn't the reason, then she had no idea why those assassins had come. What exactly they wanted from the stunt they had just pulled. More importantly, how did they even succeed in doing what they had done?

"It seemed like a misdirection at most," the butler answered honestly, throwing water on her hopes, as she almost drooped before standing back up.

With a slight sigh, and without wasting any time, she looked deeply into the space in front of her, thinking of everything she could for the next few seconds.

Then, slowly moving towards the cupboard, she took out a fancy silver laptop, carried it with her to the other side of the room, to the wide table, and began typing something.

-Thud!

As we all watched Alexandra, our attention was taken by the bulky man huffing and puffing, standing at the door as he gave a concerned look in our direction.

"Morgan. You took care of things down there?" Alexandra asked in a stern voice, to which he nodded before looking at the kids and the butler. There was a sigh of relief escaping from his mouth before his gaze finally landed on me.

What is he doing here? Is what he seemed to be asking.

I looked at the sweat drenched suit of his, making me wonder if there was anyone who would give him that much trouble but then thinking about it, I believed he was exhausted because he used all his energy to run up to here without wasting a single breath.

Kinda responsible. Too bad you were just one of the Bellimore's Dogs, otherwise, we could have been nice acquaintances. I mulled over as I found his situation quite peculiar.

As I was thinking…

"Morgan. You have 60 seconds. Take off Mr. Anothony's mask within that time and I will give you a day off." Alexandra spoke from the side as she continued to work on her laptop.

Huh?! Where did that come from?! I was surprised to hear that, though before I could analyze what exactly was going on in Alexandra's mind, I turned to Morgan, who was approaching me with full speed, almost reaching a meter away from me.

Taking a step back, and then a side step, I first dodged his right hand that was approaching my mask.

Hmm. Given his position, he would use his left hand to grip my body rather than go for the mask. I thought as I prepared to dodge his left hand with a slight duck.

All right. I waited for the proper moment before ducking and dodging his grip before somersaulting to the left and standing up again.

Since I had bought about 2 seconds of time, I used that to take out 3 of the 52 cards from my inner pocket and placed 2 of them in my right hand.

Swiftly sliding it into the right position, I applied slight friction to them, arching them at a proper angle.

This much should be enough for now. I thought as I raised my right hand, pointing in Morgan's direction and then setting my aim just a few centimeters below his eyes.

-Thrust!

I used all my force to propel the cards in his direction. Since he was barely 2 meters away, the impact was much more noticeable than it would have been otherwise.

The cards flew at an insane speed, reaching his eye, cutting a tiny portion of the skin below it, enough to make him bleed and momentarily lose his vision.

I could have blinded him completely, but… that would work against me in this situation. I sighed. While I wasn't worried about that, I really didn't want to go back to the same route as I did in my last life.

Morgan held his eyes, but did not let out even a single sound. He stood there, trying to handle the pain and slowly regain his vision. Meanwhile, I just looked at the watch, waiting for those 60 seconds to be over.

"That's a neat trick," I heard Alexandra's voice as I turned to see her smiling at me with a carefree look on her face. She observed my face with curiosity before checking her clock. Behind her, the laptop was slowly connecting to a call.

"YOU BASTARD!!!!" Morgan shouted as he regained his vision and raged towards me. Unlike last time, there was barely any coordination in his movements.

Well. This should be easy. I thought as I did a slight faint, moving back, before moving forward and…

-BAM!

Propelling his body to the other side using his own momentum, I pushed it to the ground, creating a loud sound. This time, I used enough force to make sure a few bones were cracked.

"Oof!"

"WOW!!!!"

Both the kids exclaimed as they saw me, a small thin guy, pushing down Morgan, a big bulky guy, with ease. They couldn't believe what they had just witnessed. I could even see them almost clapping at what I just did, excitement clearly visible on their faces.

Even Alexandra and the butler had surprised looks on their faces. They saw me and then Morgan before wondering if they really had seen what they had just seen.

"You-" Morgan was about to say something to me but…

"Alex, my sweet sweet granddaught- Huh? What's going on there?" An aged voice came from the laptop, as a man sitting on a tatami might sit there, observing us through the screen.

Looking at it, I realised why Alexandra was in such a deep look before. Obviously, because he was…

The current head of Bellimore Family, Tramian Bellimore.
