MMORPG: Divine Mech Hunter

Chapter 1817 Confrontation

The Black Dragon Princess is immensely powerful. Although she doesn't match the Black Dragon Queen at her peak, she's still among the top tier world-class leaders, almost on par with the faction Chieftain.

Moreover, it's not easy to kill her in her lair, where the numbers of Black Draconids and Black Dragons are significant, at least for the players.

This challenge alone is daunting, let alone quenching the fire and keeping your blood boiling, which speaks to the difficulty level.

Even after becoming a dungeon, the difficulty has slightly reduced, but with reduced difficulty, the weapons acquired don't achieve their best state.

Weapon attributes have boundaries; at worst, they're golden legendary, and at best, they're comparable to divine artifact attributes and effects. Based on task completion complexity and luck, effects will randomly generate three to four.

The perfect weapon would have four effects with extremely high attributes and attack power. Once obtained, you can see the lowest and highest limits of various attributes and the possible effects generated.

In the past life, each weapon obtained was unique to some extent.

Also, the first team to kill the Black Dragon Princess didn't acquire the Dragon Slaying Outline task, which led to no one owning the most top-tier weapon in the past life.

Li Yao now possesses a Mechanical Avatar and naturally wants a book, but he doesn't have the time now and can only gamble. This explains his initial request for special items and not giving all loot to Blood Rose.

He's still somewhat eager, even if his luck isn't ideal; after all, there's Blood Rose's people.

While speaking, the Hunter already ran close to the boss and shot an arrow. Then the Hunter feigned death.

The Hunter assigned the misdirected attack to the Death Knight, while Ilina Darkwood blew a whistle, making the War Bear roar furiously and charge at the Death Knight, with Ilina following closely behind the War Bear.

When the War Bear reached the Iron Tower, the Iron Tower taunted directly and then struck the War Bear's head heavily with a punch.

The War Bear howled miserably and retaliated against the Iron Tower, and the two collided in a mighty battle.

"Intruders, you will pay dearly for your crimes."

Ilina Darkwood shouted furiously, and an arrow shot forth with arcane power.

However, her arcane shot wasn't arcane energy but the power of fel and necromancy; it might as well be called a fel shot.

The green-glimmering arrow flew like a meteor, and the Death Knight launched the Bone Shield and then knocked the fel arrow off with his Rune Sword.

Bang!

Along with the ordinary arrow from the fel shot shattering a piece of Bone Shield, the team's Priest quickly cast a shield.

Li Yao shouted, "Ilina, you're already dead. This place doesn't belong to you. Don't tarnish the former Holy City. Rest in peace."

Just as she was about to unleash her furious assaults, Ilina abruptly jerked to a halt, instantly infected with plague sprayed by the Death Knight.

"You're my former kin? Why aren't you all dead yet? Damn it." Ilina displayed no joy but overwhelming hatred.

"More than half died, but some survived that catastrophe," Li Yao answered.

"Hahaha, since not all were wiped out, why did you abandon us? We were trapped in this damned place for thousands of years and ultimately died here. Why are you living so well? Why won't you die?" Ilina's eyes burned with madness.

"I'm sorry, but you should know that even among the Upper Elves, the existence of this city was a secret. Unfortunately, during the calamity, the Queen and the Capital sank into the sea, and everyone aware of this secret no longer exists. Only when the barriers disappeared, did dimensional fusion reveal this place. Sadly, the Ogres and Satyrs occupied it, along with an Ogre Kingdom from the sub-dimension, rendering us powerless. Now I'm here for rescue," Li Yao half-truthfully explained.

"Rescue? Ha, what rescue? Save these lonely spirits or redeem the Satyrs or rule those stinking Ogres? You're too late. For the sake of our kin, Upper Elves can leave, but all others must stay. No strangers are welcome, nor can they learn of this place." Ilina regained clarity.

"I apologize, but I must pass through to those below, preventing endless mistakes," Li Yao said regretfully.

"You won't withstand against the Prince, nor will I allow you to disrupt our energy source," Ilina's eyes reddened again. "Since you're obstinate, stay and join us. Surely the Prince is very interested in your souls."

Li Yao deliberately transformed his Mechanical Avatar into a High Elf form but still couldn't convince Ilina, leaving him slightly regretful.

Ilina spun her form around, launching a barrage of arrows.

Everyone's face turned anxious, rolling and scrambling to dodge.

Blood Rose formed seals with both hands, condensing a blood-colored weapon to shield herself in front.

Meanwhile, Li Yao continued advancing, moving without hindrance toward Ilina from behind the Death Knight.

Simultaneously, Ilina vanished and appeared directly overhead of Li Yao, her Blade falling from above.

"Humph, let me kill you first."

Li Yao paused, swinging his Longsword upward sharply. "Killing me isn't easy. Get lost."

Clang!

The weapons collided, and Li Yao stood firm while Ilina's face changed drastically.

Li Yao was also a faction-level leader. At the same tier, his strength was unparalleled — even a Savage Dragon couldn't measure up, let alone a Ghost.

Her Slicing Blade almost slipped from her grasp, but her combat experience saved her as she used the collision force to somersault away.

Right then, Blood Rose cast two spells to curse Ilina.

"Grasp of Death!" Li Yao shouted.

It wasn't his spell, though now he could cast it.

The Death Knight reflexively launched Grasp of Death just as Ilina adjusted herself mid-air, caught off guard.

Li Yao had arrived at the Death Knight's left side, pulling Ilina's swirling body towards him.

Li Yao charged up to the second level. "Die."

"Damn," Ilina had only one weapon and couldn't block both attackers, wisely choosing to fend off Li Yao's attack while taking the Death Knight's Rune Sword hit.

Clatter, clatter...

Ilina's weapon got chipped, and so did Li Yao's. Her weapon flew away, and she crashed into the ground, skidding like a ragdoll until hitting the wall with a dull thud.

If not for being a Ghost, she'd be paralyzed by impact alone. Even now, her soul flickered as though about to dissipate and collapse...
