Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 80: The Death Rose Society_3

"If I put it into the Soul Jade Magic Orb, I can easily carry it over to Edith Academy here. Then this little guy won't have to complain or feel depressed all the time, right?"

"Come by often, Tilan, our club is very welcoming to companions who can share experiences," said Glenna after another round of invitations and promises, the three of them finally left the club's activity room.

At noon, they went to eat, and in the afternoon, they continued to visit and learn about the clubs. Most of the clubs they saw were various hobby clubs, such as sports, art and painting, and a few music-related ones like wind instruments, dance, rock, and so on.

The next day, it was still Glenna leading the two of them, but today's club visit was a bit more special.

"This is the 'Tikos Botanical Research Club', mainly studying the cultivation and catalysis of Tikos seeds." After explaining, Glenna led the two of them through the door.

"Yalian? What are you doing here?" Tilan saw a familiar face from her own club.

The activity room was filled with transparent glass covers, within which were various plants of different sizes and colors. Some were in full bloom, some were just sprouting, and the blooming flowers were bizarrely diverse: some bright yellow and delicate, some blood-red like a ghoul's face, and some already fading despite just blooming.

Besides Yalian, there were five other individuals in white lab coats. Their pointed ears suggested they all, like Yalian, had Elf Bloodline.

"Ah, I came here to learn and exchange knowledge. President Tilan knows that I really like plants, don't you?" Holding a test tube and a seed, Yalian looked up in surprise upon hearing the girl's voice, pausing for two seconds before explaining.

"Yalian is an old friend of ours. If it hadn't been for an unexpected turn of events last year, joining our club would have been the natural course of things," said a tall woman in a white lab coat with sharp eyes and an air of mature charm as she walked over.

"Hello, I'm Mavis, president of the Tikos Botanical Research Club." The tricolored golden flower badge at her collar indicated that she was a professionally certified botanist.

"So you're Tilan, you seem a bit petit," noted the tall blonde elf woman, probably around 1.8 meters tall in contrast to Tilan's 1.6 meters or so. Tilan had to tilt her head up slightly to see her face clearly as she approached.

"Uh, yes, I'm Tilan," she replied.

"It's just a bit of a surprise, not that I'm blaming Yalian for being here," Tilan felt that there might be some misunderstanding in the hostility she sensed from the other party.

"Ahaha, Mavis, you're scaring Little Tilan a little," Yalian put down what was in his hands and came over.

"Alright, perhaps I misunderstood. Who, oh yes, Glenna, did you need something from us today?" She rubbed her forehead gently with her fingers, then turned to ask the bespectacled girl beside her.

"Since Tilan has just joined the student council, I brought her over today to familiarize herself and understand the situation," Glenna replied.

"Oh, it's just a little thing like that," she said, a bit disappointedly, with a casual wave of her hand.

"Let Yalian give you the tour then, he's quite familiar with it all." After speaking, she leaned back in the room's large sofa, casually crossing her legs, and threw her head back as if ready for a brief nap.

...

"So, the situation turned out like this," Yalian explained some past stories as he led Tilan and Annelli through the glass rooms filled with various plants.

It turned out he had known Mavis for a long time; they were distant relatives and had become quite close due to family interaction during their childhood. Moreover, Mavis's focus was also on botany, and she often sought advice from Yalian's father, so the two of them met frequently.

"Initially, choosing Edith Academy was also because of Senior Mavis, but unexpectedly, after entering the academy, I ended up joining other clubs."

"What do you mean by 'other clubs'?" Annelli, standing behind Tilan, seemed a bit indignant.

"Are you saying our Twilight Orchestra taking you in is a compromise?"

"That's not it, it's just that it was quite unexpected. I had intended to take on an advisory role, but later on, I was indeed won over by Tilan, cough cough." Yalian explained, easing Annelli's expression a bit.

"However, I do feel a bit sorry for Mavis, so when she later asked me over to help, I didn't refuse. I hope President Tilan isn't upset."

"Don't be so formal about such trivial things; it's perfectly fine for Yalian to come and go as he pleases," the girl said, shaking her head. She didn't think it would have any impact, as there weren't many serious affairs in the Twilight Orchestra anyway.

"You truly are a broad-minded and understanding great figure. President Tilan is indeed the idol in my heart." Yalian had reverted to his usual self by now, prompting the girl to want to retort. Explore more at empire

"Alright, let's not talk about this. I've been visiting the academy's clubs these past few days, and only then did I discover many people and events in Edith Academy that I had never noticed before."

"Indeed, students usually gravitate towards their own advancement and club interests. If you're not part of the circle, even within the same academy, there might never be any intersection," Yalian explained.

"I have a lot to learn recently; I feel like President Amors might have overburdened me with the arrangements. Do I really have to take care of so many clubs and event coordination?" Tilan massaged the side of her ears, feeling like she couldn't keep track of so many names and clubs.

"President, you'll get used to it gradually; you don't actually need to remember every club in such detail, just having a general understanding is fine," Yalian suggested from the side.

"I guess President Amors doesn't actually want you to be responsible for so many and such complicated tasks. Probably, this is just an initial phase to get you familiar with the various parts within the academy, to have a better grasp of the overall situation."

"Well, I hope that's the case, or else I feel like one person just isn't enough." The girl looked out the window at the scenery, then her gaze shifted to Yalian at her side, wondering how to grasp this guy and put him to good use. Ever since he joined the club, the atmosphere had started to go astray, and she always felt that this guy had a tendency to tease her.

"Er, ah, ha, ha ha, is it a shortage of hands? There are plenty of idle people in the club, like, like that Kinsenke kid." Yalian turned his gaze away, answering with a hint of guilt.

"Speaking of which, Kinsenke caused quite a stir in Valke's hometown over the holiday," Tilan mentioned.

"What kind of stir?" Annelli suddenly became interested.

"He pretty much blew up an abandoned factory, drove a simple Mecha, and swept through the local Gang forces with a machine gun."

In the remote Northern Ninth District, with Kinsenke's family background, he was unparalleled, able to release his inner violence rightfully, and the act was somewhat justifiable. This greatly satisfied his desire for entertainment and garnered adoration from the locals, which made him extremely proud and complacent.

"It's said that after receiving gratitude from local orphans and children, he generously donated a large sum of money to local charitable causes," Yalian recalled from the recent rumors.

"That should be a good thing, I suppose," Tilan said uncertainly, noting the many changes that seemed to have taken place this term.
