Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 49: Ballads in the Wind (Part 2)

"We understand." The other Iron Core and Fox-tail Species responsible for electronic equipment followed orders.

"The rainy season is approaching, and this is also the best time for tilling on the grasslands. You Elephant Body and Horned Beast Species must dispatch personnel to supervise and instruct the major settlements to complete the plowing and sowing."

"As you command, my Queen." The nearly three-meter-tall Elephant Body Species bent down, kneeled on one knee, like a small mountain hitting the ground, making a dull sound.

"Where are the Slip Feather Species?"

"Here, right here, Queen Hexia." A slender Slip Feather Species with wide bat wings squeezed into the crowd and then knelt carefully.

"You are responsible for delivering the orders across the grassland, ensuring that each command is conveyed to the settlements. Every time you deliver an order or announcement, you must bring back a stamped handprint from the leader of that settlement to ensure the veracity of the information."

"Yes, yes, we will definitely complete the task."

With these arrangements, Tilan had essentially finished handling the current affairs; next, it was up to their actions and performance.

"That should be about it, I should go now." On the last day, the representatives of the various settlements on site continually asked the young girl's opinions, and finally formed a temporary council of 13 people to decide on any unexpected situations thereafter.

"My Queen, according to your order, we have pardoned the past slaves within the King Camp, allowing them to live in settlements according to their respective species. However, there are still some special slaves who have no settlements on the grassland."

"Are there many of them? What are their circumstances?" Tilan was curious about what species were so rare.

"There are four Silkworm Moth Species, they were formerly private slaves kept by the Wolf Blood... leader, and her clothes were woven from the silk threads of the Silkworm Moth Species," reported this subordinate.

"Silkworm Moth Species..." Tilan thought of Orenna, whom they had rescued before. These Silkworm Moth Species were genetically designed to lack any intention to fight, making it impossible for them to survive in the wild on their own.

"Take me to see them."

"Yes."

Following the guiding Guard to a secret dungeon in the King Camp, which was once the residence of the Wolf Blood Queen, where no one else dared to trespass or approach.

Entering the stone-built underground cell, under the torchlight, Tilan saw four small creatures curled up in the corner; their height was about 1.4 to 1.5 meters, the standard height for Silkworm Moth Species, all draped in moth wings with plush, beautiful snow-white hair.

Upon seeing strangers, these four little ones were a bit frightened, but they occasionally peeked at the leader girl in the firelight. Their condition was almost identical to when they met Orenna back then.

"Can you stand up?" Tilan wanted to see if they had any injuries or could move on their own.

"Mm." Although scared, if someone told them to do something, these Silkworm Moth Species would basically not disobey.

The four little ones slowly stood up in line. Their clothing was simple, their bodies a bit plump, with a touch of cute clumsiness, which made Tilan suspect whether the person who designed their genes didn't like overly slim figures.

A few minutes later, Tilan lowered her fingers, which emitted an invisible ripple. After inspection, these four Silkworm Moth Species were largely unharmed, only having minor injuries.

Then Tilan inquired about their origins and past; they babbled their stories, among them two grew up in the Wolf Blood King Camp from a young age, while the other two were plundered by the Wolf Blood Species from other settlements.

Originally there should have been six Silkworm Moth Species here, but unfortunately, two of them were no longer around.

"Where did they go?" Tilan asked.

"One was eaten, and one was used." At this point, the remaining four Silkworm Moth Species were slightly saddened, but not as upset as expected.

"The Queen was injured, so Miyena was used up, and Anna was played to death by the guards, and then to not waste, she was eaten by them." The calm tone mentioned something that gave Tilan a bit of chill for the first time.

"What do you mean by used up?"

"The Queen got injured, her internal organs had issues, so Miyena's were used as replacements, hence Miyena is no longer." One of the Silkworm Moth Species recalled.

"How long ago was this?"

"It seems long ago, about 20 times since it was cold and warm again."

"I see..." It seems that during the great war with the Butterfly Species, the Wolf Blood Queen did not escape unscathed and was severely injured too, which is why she didn't personally pursue Molila.

After understanding the general situation, Tilan occasionally wondered if the world was too cruel to these Silkworm Moth Species, yet they seemed to live happily, even just saying a few words with Tilan made them quite delighted.

"Are you going to take us away? Where to, we will take good care of ourselves as long as we are provided with food." Almost directly saying they are easy to care for and not to be worried about by Tilan.

"Don't worry, you'll have food." Tilan reassured them.

"Food is very precious, and eating too much before used to make the guards scold us, very scary." Another Silkworm Moth Species spoke with slight worry.

Silkworm Moth Species have relatively high dietary requirements; if the food is too polluted or toxic, they are more likely to not tolerate it and fall ill and die, which is why their numbers are dwindling nowadays.

Fortunately, they are always obedient and of some use, and many settlements with sufficient resources would consider keeping them.

After the conversation, Tilan decided to take them to the mountain camp in the Eastern grassland, right to accompany Orenna; these little ones gathering together should bring them some happiness.

After dealing with all the remaining matters, Tilan finally embarked on the journey, taking some of the accompanying members back to the mountain camp in the Eastern grassland.
