Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 38: Wolf Blood King Camp (Part 3)

The sound of horns echoed within the King Camp, followed by gunfire breaking out in all directions, continuously shooting. Among the flying figures, a few were injured, their butterfly wings on their backs pierced, but they still wobbly managed to persist and fly towards the south to escape.

"Catch them!" someone shouted within the camp.

Several Slip Feather Species guards leaped from the high platform, suddenly dashing forward, pouncing at the retreating butterfly-winged figures. The two sides clashed mid-air, with one of the butterfly-winged figures being directly impaled by a spear, providing a diversion for the others to finally break free.

Afterwards, even if the Slip Feather Species guards wanted to pursue, they couldn't fly that high anymore.

The guards then brought the severely injured captured butterfly-winged figure back to the camp, and the doctors from the King Camp were summoned.

"Treat him, don't let him die."

"Damn it, the valuable ones escaped, this old guy has to be used to cover the debt." The slave trader fumed with anger.

In front of him, four doctors began to cast spells, starting to heal the pierced wound.

"It's no use, he's injured internally, the wound is large, we can't stop the bleeding, and his internal organs are damaged, it's almost impossible to heal." The doctors here had limited skills, and seeing the man getting weaker and his complexion turning pale and bluish, they knew the situation was dire.

"He f..." a vile curse slipped from the slave trader's mouth.

Seeing this, Tilan wanted to step forward but quickly refrained, whispering a few words to Sura beside her, who nodded in response.

"Is this slave still for sale? How much?" Sura rushed over.

"You want to buy?" Seeing the man about to die, yet someone wanted to buy him, the slave trader's expression changed.

"Yes, I have a use for him, are you selling or not? If not, forget it." Sura quickly replied.

"This..." The slave trader intended to name a high price, but seeing the man gasping weaker by the moment, he didn't dare waste time, fearing if he really died, he'd be worthless.

"300 Blood Marks."

"Deal." Sura pulled out a gold piece from her bosom, a rare item difficult to counterfeit, serving as a natural equivalent on this land despite its limited utility.

"Gold?" The slave trader was surprised, weighed it in his hand, then bit it.

"It's real, give her the man." he quickly motioned for his men to hand over the dying man.

Seeing them release him, Sura had several Fox-tail Species lift the man and take him to the mercantile headquarters in the market.

Soon after, Tilan stepped into the tent shrouded by curtains, performing emergency surgery and treatment for the man.

About ten minutes later, she washed her hands and came out.

"How is it, did you save him?" Sura saw the girl's usual demeanor but could not discern the specific situation.

"He's saved, but he'll need a period of rest." Tilan lightly pressed her chin with her fingers.

"Have two people keep an eye on him, and call me when he wakes up, I'll handle the communication. As a Songstress, she had ways to calm him down and make him listen.

Unexpectedly seeing a Butterfly Species here, as a Favored race of Dark Sun·Cui Kalans, also one of the 'Heavenly Wings Four Species', even at the end of the Fifth Epoch, the Butterfly Species were a powerful race. Their genetic template was derived from the Phantom-Eyed Race, further optimized, making their reconnaissance and illusion abilities top-notch, extensively using Phantom Fighters in interstellar wars. These image-layering fighters caused significant disturbance to many enemies, and nowadays the Federation's immersive movie technology 'Phantom Crystal Mist' is said to have its earliest technological origins borrowed from the scale powder of the defeated Butterfly Species at the end of the Fifth Epoch.

It's unknown how they fell so far behind, or perhaps this was just a branch of the Butterfly Species, while the main body had followed Dark Sun·Cui Kalans to other star systems, eventually being completely annihilated by the Federation's fleet in the Northern Galaxy's star region.
