Marvel's Magic Master: I Have a Clone in the Harry Potter World!

Chapter 80: Chapter 80: The Tech-Enhanced Magic Wand

As George pondered how to find a substitute for wand wood in this world, Wolverine called him via video.

"George, a silver robot-like thing just flew out of Stark's mansion at high speed. Here's the photo I managed to snap."

Wolverine sent over a somewhat blurry picture.

"It seems it's finally coming together," George mused, recognizing the unpainted first-generation Mark suit in the image. Tony Stark had evidently completed his revolutionary Iron Man armor after weeks of seclusion.

'Maybe this guy could be of some help,' George thought, formulating an idea.

"Logan, I'll have someone pick you up shortly."

"What? No more surveillance and protection duty?" Wolverine asked, puzzled.

George nodded. "No need. Come back and rest. Tomorrow, we'll pay a formal visit."

His plan was straightforward: since he couldn't find suitable wand wood to craft a traditional wand, why not turn to this world's advanced technology to create a tech-enhanced substitute?

The requirements were modest. The wand didn't need to amplify his magical power as a traditional wand would. He simply wanted something functional to eliminate the limitations of gesture casting, enabling him to use magic more effectively in combat.

Among those he knew, Tony Stark was likely the only person capable of achieving this.

Additionally, with Stark's Iron Man suit now functional, George could advance his plan to counter the Alkali Transigen Genetic Research Company and eliminate Zander Rice as a threat.

George had delayed taking action against Rice due to insufficient strength. Back then, even a single X-24 clone coupled with a sniper posed a significant threat to them.

Now, George's abilities had grown exponentially. Even without using magic, his magnetokinesis alone could easily handle such threats. His magical repertoire had expanded to include dozens of spells, including high-level ones, and he'd also begun learning giant and light magic.

Moreover, he wasn't alone. With Wolverine back in his prime and possibly Tony Stark's tech, their success would be all but guaranteed.

Underestimating Tony Stark would be a mistake. Even the first-generation Iron Man suit boasted supersonic flight and various high-tech weapons capable of devastating ranged attacks. Unless faced with a specific counter, Stark could stand toe-to-toe with most superheroes.

Delaying action against Dr. Rice only increased the likelihood of him launching a major offensive, possibly involving more cloned mutants. A proactive strike was the better option.

If George could create even a passable wand, the operation would commence immediately.

After hanging up, George instructed Isha to take the jet to Malibu, California, to Stark's private mansion. She would pick up Wolverine, who was currently nearby.

Meanwhile, back at Stark's mansion, Tony had returned in his Iron Man suit, crashing onto the roof and accidentally destroying a multimillion-dollar car in the process.

After removing the suit and applying an ice pack to his injuries, he glanced at the makeshift Arc Reactor that Pepper had prepared for him. A rare expression of gratitude crossed his face.

Seated in his workshop, Tony instructed his AI assistant, Jarvis: "Jarvis, make a note. During the test flight above 40,000 feet, the main sensors showed some instability. The suit's pressurization also had issues—likely caused by freezing."

"Excellent observation, sir. If you intend to venture into space, you'll need to upgrade the suit's materials."

"Contact Cisco Systems and ask them to source materials used in the Seraphim tactical satellite. We'll switch to gold-titanium alloy. It's lighter and meets our integration needs."

"Understood, sir. Shall I generate the updated schematics?"

"Yes, go ahead."

Within moments, the new design appeared on-screen. However, the entirely golden suit looked overly flashy.

"This looks... a bit too gaudy," Tony muttered, shaking his head.

"My apologies, sir. I should've remembered your penchant for subtlety," Jarvis quipped with a hint of sarcasm.

Unbothered, Tony glanced at a nearby sports car. "Add some of that car's red to the design."

"Understood, sir. Updating color palette."

Within seconds, the red-and-gold Iron Man suit materialized on the screen.

"I like it. Start assembling," Tony said.

"Assembly initiated. Estimated completion time: five hours."

"By the way, any progress on gathering information about George?"

Tony's thoughts wandered to the man who had saved him. Although he hadn't shared details about George with anyone—not even Pepper—his curiosity remained piqued.

"None, sir. I searched for all individuals named George, but none match your description."

"Could it be a pseudonym?" Tony speculated, before issuing another command. "Check for anyone who purchased Stark Industries stock when it dropped after my disappearance and sold it before my return."

"On it, sir."

Moments later, a list of names appeared on his screen. One entry caught Tony's eye.

"Leon... he bought a suspiciously large amount. Dig into his background."

There were many investors who remained loyal to Stark Industries despite the crisis. However, Leon's massive purchases stood out as unusual.

Although the investigation didn't directly lead to George, Tony suspected there might be a connection.

Meanwhile, the news interrupted his train of thought: "Tonight, the red carpet is rolled out at the Disney Concert Hall for the annual charity gala organized by Tony Stark for the Firefighter Family Foundation. The event has attracted the elite of Los Angeles high society."

Hearing the broadcast, Tony scowled, setting aside his ice pack. "Jarvis, forget the suit. I've got a reputation to uphold."

Despite his injuries, Tony headed out, determined to make an appearance and silence rumors of his incapacitation.
