Noah stared at his attribute panel in a daze. For a moment, he was completely stuck.
"Why is there an extra line for my age and strength after my transformation?"
Zero years old?
It should be the age of my transformed dragon body, but what the hell is the "ninth level" strength?
Ninth level—the limit of what a high-level magician can reach!
Above that lies the tenth level, a key stage of transformation from human to god, the stage that Master Ancient One has reached.
But Noah's strength had been stable for so many years, and learning this transformation magic was supposed to only feed back to himself.
Why is this dragon clone even more terrifying than himself?
What is going on?
Noah was at a loss. Could it be because of the dark power from Dormammu?
But the effect can't possibly be this good, can it?
"Noah? Are you okay?"
Just when Noah was deep in thought about his transformation, Master Ancient One's voice suddenly reached his ears.
This snapped Noah back to his senses. He looked down, and sure enough, Master Ancient One was looking at him intently, and the others appeared the same.
However, the Time Stone on Master Ancient One's chest was emitting a faint glow, signaling that she was preventing something ominous.
Shaking his head, Noah stopped thinking about it. He focused on what Master Ancient One was about to say.
But as soon as Noah opened his mouth, his face turned green. He hadn't used any power at all, but as he spoke, a surge of magic rushed out of his mouth!
The magic that Noah had painstakingly recovered with his body was gone once more, and more importantly, the magic instantly transformed into black flames!
This terrifying power made Noah a little scared. But in an instant, he made a decision.
Raising his head, Noah opened his mouth to the sky like a fool. The terrible flames shot upward, penetrating the sky until Noah's magic was completely drained.
"What the hell?!"
Noah knew that the way dragons cast spells was different from humans. He had made a lot of adjustments in this regard, but this—this wasn't what he expected.
It was as if he could trigger magic power just by making a sound, and Noah was baffled.
"Have you forgotten the way dragons cast spells?" the system spoke up: "Dragons rely on their roars, using them to trigger magic."
"Of course, I know. I even rebuilt my vocal cords. Why did it end up like this?" Noah asked quietly, feeling something was wrong.
"The answer is simple: you're less than level seven," the system replied. "Though you've undergone a series of improvements, being too perfect isn't necessarily good. Your body is too strong, and you missed some critical training, so you'll need to figure it out gradually."
"Is that so?" Noah thought for a moment, then shook his head. "Becoming a dragon and adapting to the dragon's body is training in itself. But because of my laziness, I missed it."
Noah realized that his body, being less than level seven, might cause minor issues when such overwhelming power was gained all at once.
Sighing, Noah concluded that unless the dragon's body was absolutely necessary, he should use it sparingly.
Although the strength of the ninth level was tempting, his control seemed lacking. Without giving it his all, he felt that this transformation was simply causing him trouble.
"So, what should I do next? Also, will such a powerful body force the growth of seedlings?" Noah mused aloud.
"Don't worry," the system reassured. "This is just advancing your physical potential early. You are lucky—although you can't unleash such power in your original form, your body has withstood the development of the ninth level. You might not be limited in the future."
"Is that so?" Noah thought for a moment. If he wanted to fully unleash his body's power, he still needed to remain in dragon form. But since the dragon form had fortuitously developed his body to the ninth level, it meant that Noah wouldn't encounter any major obstacles in his magical journey moving forward.
Noah's mood lifted considerably. Although his physical state was far superior to his magical level, and he seemed better suited for close combat, he didn't plan to turn into a warrior. With no more hindrances to his magic, Noah didn't feel like running around hacking people with swords.
Lost in his thoughts, Noah noticed Master Ancient One seemed ready to use the Time Stone.
Suddenly, Noah realized that he couldn't stay like this. After a brief moment of contemplation, he immediately accessed his magic state. As Noah's human form appeared in his mind, his dragon body began to shrink rapidly.
The black power, like gauze mist, reappeared and enveloped Noah.
In just a few seconds, Noah transformed from a massive dragon, over a hundred feet long, to a young man just five feet tall.
"Noah?" Master Ancient One frowned at the sight of Noah's transformation.
"It's okay, Teacher," Noah smiled. "Although there were some unexpected moments, the overall result is huge."
Indeed, it was a great outcome. After turning back into his human form, Noah immediately checked his physical state.
Because his human form was so compressed, even though Noah's physical fitness had been developed to the ninth level, only the seventh level of strength could be exerted in his human state.
That was more than enough.
Noah had been at the fourth level before, so this was a massive improvement.
Although the searing heat like a flame had been dampened by his magic earlier, it still scared him when he thought about it now. Fortunately, Noah had prepared for it, and such pain made the rewards all the more satisfying.
"You seem to have reached a terrifying level in your dragon form," Master Ancient One relaxed a little, but still frowned. "Well?"
"Ninth level," Noah smiled. But his smile soon turned bitter. "But being too perfect isn't always good. The transformation was too strong; I can't fully control it."
"Ah, so that's why you started spitting fire as soon as you opened your mouth. You couldn't control it?" Master Ancient One asked.
"Exactly," Noah nodded. "The magic of dragons relies on their roars, and I had no control over it. When I tried to speak, things went wrong."
Noah recalled how his dragon form had been covered in black scales, hot lava flowing within him. Especially after integrating the dark power from high dimensions, he looked far from the ideal image of a dragon. Roaring at the sky, spewing fire—it wasn't a sight to behold.
"I understand," Master Ancient One nodded, then paused, seemingly struck by an idea. "You've reached the seventh level?"
"Seventh level?" Noah was stunned. He immediately pulled out his pendant and called for the system to change. Sure enough, whether it was the pendant or the system panel, Noah's level now displayed as the seventh level!
This left Noah speechless. He didn't know what to think.
Wasn't it just the sixth and ninth levels before? How had it changed so suddenly?
And how many years had he spent stuck at that level?
He realized that his long-awaited breakthrough had happened without his knowledge. He wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.
At this point, Noah had no interest in overthinking. He'd become a dragon and reached the ninth level, so he felt like he'd won the lottery!
"It seems your magic is very successful. Can you tell me about it?" Master Ancient One observed Noah's expression, thought for a moment, then asked.
"Of course, no problem," Noah nodded.
Without hesitation, Noah began explaining everything about his magic, from its creation to the present.
However, Noah didn't reveal anything about his system. Having read the information the system provided countless times, he knew exactly how to explain it.
He simply reversed the information, providing a reasonable explanation that wouldn't raise any suspicions.
The others, including Master Ancient One, listened intently as Noah spoke. Their expressions gradually shifted from surprise to seriousness, eventually turning somewhat embarrassed.
"Noah," Charles, who had been involved throughout the process, looked embarrassed. "Are you saying that our 'magic bridge' design was too successful, making it impossible for your magic to finalize?"
"Yes, the creation was too perfect, which resulted in the magic power needed for finalizing being too overwhelming," Noah replied, glancing at Master Ancient One.
"I see," Master Ancient One nodded. "I never thought the dark power used for research would become your life-saving straw."
"Thank you, Teacher," Noah said, understanding that Master Ancient One was helping him explain.
The dark power Master Ancient One had provided for research and the dark power Noah obtained elsewhere were two completely different matters.
With Master Ancient One's help, Wong and Dennis were relieved. Though they supported Noah fully, they had been worried about Master Ancient One's possible dissatisfaction, so everything was fine now.
"By the way, those dark powers are terrifying, but the will within them was erased. Did you do that?"
Master Ancient One, now back to normal, still seemed uneasy about the will in those dark powers. She was curious how Noah had handled it.
"It wasn't actually erased," Noah explained, using the method the system suggested. "When I studied them, I was also irritated by the wills. Finally, I came up with a spell. After years of trial, I succeeded in removing the wills from the power."
Remove? Magic?
Master Ancient One's eyes widened, her curiosity piqued.
