The successive attacks in the village made all ninjas in the surroundings feel that something was wrong, and this time, it even affected the entire Shimura clan.

An explosion in the underground space rocked the entire Shimura Tower, which was tens of meters below ground.

The laboratory was typically used by her to analyze the various poisons used by enemy ninjas, but recently, she had also been using it for some private work, such as helping Kain decipher the composition and efficacy of his serum.

There had been a breakthrough recently, but she didn't expect to encounter something like this so soon.

"What is the situation? Tell me everything," Tsunade asked urgently. She had a growing suspicion that Kain was involved. 

Though there was no solid evidence, her intuition pointed to him. She also remembered the earlier incident with Kato Dan.

After hearing the detailed timeline of the explosion from Yakushi Nono, Tsunade immediately grabbed a document in her hand and prepared to leave.

Seeing this, Yakushi Nono couldn't help but ask, "Lady Tsunade, where are you going?"

"I'll be back soon. Nono, go ahead and perform the operation on me first," Tsunade said as she walked out.

She was going to find out the truth. The old man wouldn't tell her the full story, so Tsunade decided to go to Kain for answers.

With the war ongoing and such disturbances happening within the village, if the Hokage claimed that spies were responsible again, it could severely undermine the villagers' trust in Konoha. 

It was getting to the point where it would be like defecating on Konoha's head.

Kain naturally knew that the explosives had been delivered by his Shadow Clone.

Moreover, Kain had not harmed the spy developed by Nono. He temporarily erased the memory of what he'd done using memory magic, and the spy would slowly recall everything after a month.

 Even if the Yamanaka family checked during this period, they wouldn't find anything unusual.

After this incident, whether the Root organization is disbanded or rebuilt, a large number of personnel will need to be replaced. The person Nono developed might even be put to use again.

When Tsunade arrived at Kain's house, she found him lying on Kushina's lap, enjoying the girl feeding him.

"Miss Tsunade? Why are you here!?"

Seeing Tsunade open the door and walk in, Kushina couldn't help feeling a bit shy. She quickly put the peach in her hand into Kain's mouth and then helped him sit up. 

She patted the red mark on her leg before pulling her skirt down again.

After doing all of this, Kushina stood up with a flushed face. She had done such a bold thing when no one was around. 

The boss had told her, quite seriously, that the pillow skirt was uncomfortable and that the fabric was a bit too stiff, so she had lifted her skirt slightly to let Kain pillow on her lap.

Unexpectedly, Miss Tsunade had arrived suddenly, and Kushina now had the feeling of being caught.

"If I hadn't come in just now, I'm afraid you would've lost your whole body. Come out with me for a bit. I need to ask you something," Tsunade said, looking at Kushina's flushed face while glancing suspiciously between the two. 

Kain's face was serious, and he seemed quite righteous. Tsunade then called out to Kushina, ready to ask her a few questions.

Once they were outside, Tsunade warned, "Kushina, you're still too young. If you rashly decide to have a baby, I won't be able to operate on you."

"You... You... What are you talking about, Miss Tsunade?"

When Kushina heard this, she blushed and stammered, "I wouldn't... do that..." But the more she spoke, the quieter her voice became, sounding rather unconvincing.

Tsunade waved her hand, her face turning suddenly serious. "Forget it, I'm just warning you. But did you hear the explosion today?"

Kushina nodded and complained, "I heard a muffled sound. I don't know where it came from, but it startled both me and the boss."

"You were by his side at the time. What were you doing?" Tsunade asked, surprised, wondering if it wasn't Kain who did it.

Hearing this, Kushina immediately shook her head. "It's nothing... just a normal chat."

"Did he leave for even a second?"

"No, I've been with him all morning..." Kushina then realized what Tsunade was implying. She became suspicious and asked, "Miss Tsunade, do you think the boss did it? That's absolutely impossible."

Tsunade snorted in disbelief, "Kushina, how can you be so sure?"

"Because I've been with him all morning. How could it be the boss who did it?" Kushina said, a little annoyed. "Sister Tsunade, you have too many prejudices against the boss."

"I just want to know. Where's the prejudice in that? You're turning your arm to the other side. Do you want to move in early?" Tsunade teased.
