Marvel : Strongest Siblings

Chapter 78: Marvel 78

The auction began with a wave of tension and amusement rippling through the crowd. The auctioneer stood tall on the floating platform, her mocking grin never fading.

"Our first lot for the evening," she announced, gesturing dramatically toward a trembling Celestial Dragon. "This fine specimen here, Lord Antonias of the Bernadia lineage. Once a man who decreed entire islands should burn for his amusement, and now..." She paused, letting the silence stretch. "A man who can barely stand under his own weight."

The crowd erupted into laughter, the sound echoing throughout the arena. Pirates jeered, mocking the once-mighty Celestial Dragon who now cowered before them.

"Let's start the bidding at 10 million berries!" the auctioneer declared.

A member of the Big Mom Pirates raised his hand. "10 million!"

A pirate from a lesser-known crew shot up. "15 million!"

Blackbeard's thunderous voice interrupted. "20 million berries! Hah, Antonias, you're looking better than I remember. I'll keep you as a pet!"

More laughter followed as the bidding intensified.

The Revolutionary Army representatives watched silently, their disdain for the entire spectacle evident. Dragon himself sat in the shadows, his expression unreadable as he whispered to Sabo, "Let's see how far this chaos goes."

CP0 agents exchanged heated glances, struggling to contain their frustration. One muttered, "We must recover at least some of them. This humiliation can't go unanswered."

As the bids climbed higher, the auctioneer turned her sharp tongue back toward the World Government representatives. "What's this? No bids from the mighty Marines or CP0? Come now, surely you're not going to let a little pirate riffraff outbid you for one of your gods?"

A CP0 agent finally stood, their masked face aimed at the auctioneer. "30 million berries."

The crowd gasped slightly before bursting into another wave of laughter. "Finally!" the auctioneer said with exaggerated relief. "I was beginning to think you'd forgotten how to spend all that blood money."

More bids followed, with various factions vying for Antonias. Ultimately, he was sold to a crew of upstart pirates for an astonishing 70 million berries.

The energy in the arena reached a fever pitch as the auctioneer, reveling in the chaotic energy, introduced the next "lot."

"Ladies and gentlemen, for our next item—a true collector's piece! Lord Reginald of the Felkraine family!" She stepped aside with a flourish as a visibly shaken Celestial Dragon was dragged into view. His pristine robes were now tattered, and his once haughty demeanor had crumbled under the weight of fear.

"This one was known for throwing lavish parties where entire towns were forced to 'entertain' him or be wiped off the map. What a charming legacy!" The crowd burst into raucous laughter.

A bold pirate from the Red-Hair Pirates stood up. "Ten million berries! I've always wanted a court jester!"

Another pirate, a burly man from a lesser-known crew, countered. "Fifteen million! He'd look great scrubbing my deck!"

Gwen, seated on the edge of the platform, joined in with mock interest. "Twenty million! I think I'll teach him how to clean toilets—might give him a skill for once in his life!"

The crowd erupted into even louder laughter, with pirates and revolutionaries alike joining in the mockery.

"Ah, next, we have a special deal—two for the price of one!" The auctioneer gestured to a pair of Celestial Dragons, identical twins, both pale and trembling.

"These two are infamous for their 'games.' Their idea of fun? Pitting slaves against one another in gladiator battles while they bet on who would die first. Real family men, these two!"

The pirates howled with laughter. Even the Revolutionary Army members exchanged amused glances, though their focus remained on the undercurrent of chaos.

"Starting bid: 30 million berries for the pair!"

Blackbeard roared with laughter. "40 million! I'll make them fight each other this time—see how they like it!"

A lieutenant of the Big Mom Pirates raised the stakes. "50 million! Mama loves twins for her collection!"

Leo, holding a mug of ale, smirked and joined the bidding. "55 million! I'm feeling generous today—might make them my personal musicians. Do you two know how to play the banjo?"

The twins whimpered, shaking their heads, which only fueled the crowd's amusement.

The auction continued with the same biting sarcasm and mockery.

"Next up, Lady Verona, known for her fondness for enslaving entire towns. A real charmer, this one. Starting at 15 million berries!"

"This here is Lord Theon, famous for executing his own servants for sneezing. Truly a man of refined tastes. Shall we start at 20 million?"

The crowd's reactions ranged from laughter to outright fury as the auctioneer skewered each Celestial Dragon's reputation with biting commentary. The pirates reveled in the humiliation of their former oppressors, while the Marines and CP0 agents fumed silently.

When the final lot was brought forward, the auctioneer's tone turned serious, but the mockery remained. "And last but not least, Lord Edrick, a Celestial Dragon who personally ordered the destruction of ten islands in the New World. Oh, don't look so surprised, Edrick—your reputation precedes you."

Max stepped into view at this moment, his presence commanding the arena's attention. "This one," he said, his voice cold, "will not be sold. Lord Edrick is a message to the World Government."

The crowd hushed as Max approached the trembling Celestial Dragon. "Tell your masters this: The Night Monarch does not fear them. Their gods bleed, and their empire crumbles."

With a swift motion, Max sent Edrick plummeting into the depths below the platform, his screams cut off by the water's surface.

The silence in the arena was deafening before the auctioneer resumed with a triumphant smirk. "And that concludes tonight's entertainment. Thank you all for attending! May your pockets be full and your enemies trembling."

As the crowd dispersed, the tension in the air was electric. The auction was not just a sale; it was a declaration of war against the World Government, and everyone in attendance knew it.

The Five elders stared at Max as they left, Max also looked at them as he moved his lips ' I will come for more'.

Five Elders eyes narrowed but knowing they are in vulnerable spot they didn't do anything and just left.
