Chapter 283: Reading Memories
Perhaps due to countless rehearsals in his mind, Newton's actions were exceptionally proficient! At this moment, unlike the neuronal connections used while piloting a mech, he employed a more rudimentary method! However, this method's advantage was its simplicity and lack of complex procedures.
"Ms. Chloe, can you tell me how you managed to resurrect dinosaurs that have been extinct for millions of years?" Li Yue asked curiously while Newton was busy.
"Yes, yes, Chloe, please tell us! I'm also very curious!" Lin Yurou chimed in, acting coquettishly towards Chloe.
"Alright, since this isn't a significant secret, I'll share it with you!" Chloe replied, smiling as she shifted her gaze from the busy Newton.
...
"Everything here was funded and built by Mr. John Hammond. He could even be considered the father of modern dinosaurs!"
"And the revival of dinosaurs all started with a mosquito encased in amber!"
"A mosquito? How is that possible?" Lin Yurou exclaimed in curiosity.
"Yes, a mosquito! A mosquito that lived during the dinosaur era!"
"After feeding on dinosaur blood, this mosquito got trapped in tree resin, which later fossilized into amber. It remained buried underground for millions of years until it was excavated by modern humans!"
"Subsequently, scientists used advanced technology to extract the dinosaur blood from the mosquito's body."
"With that small amount of blood, we were able to analyze dinosaur DNA! Once we had the DNA, we could proceed with cloning."
"However, the DNA we obtained was incomplete due to the blood's age. After countless experiments using nearly every animal on Earth to fill the gaps in the dinosaur DNA sequence, we failed."
"Until someone suggested using creatures from beyond Earth—those monsters from the wormholes."
"Surprisingly, the experiment succeeded! Using the completed dinosaur DNA, we successfully cloned the once-dominant dinosaurs!"
"Mr. John Hammond then built this park to share this regained wonder with all of humanity!"
Chloe recounted the entire process, her expression still filled with amazement.
...
"Wow, that's incredible! I never imagined the process would be so difficult! But Chloe, you guys are amazing!" Lin Yurou exclaimed in awe after hearing Chloe's explanation, while Li Yue and Herman fell into deep thought.
"Ms. Chloe, were you involved throughout the entire process of reviving the dinosaurs?" Li Yue asked, sceptical as the process seemed slightly different from those depicted in movies.
"No, I joined the team when we were using Earth animals to fill the gaps in the dinosaur DNA. However, I am still immensely proud to have been part of it!" Chloe replied with pride.
"I see."
"But Ms. Chloe, as a professional biologist, didn't you find the process unbelievable?" Li Yue asked as he found the idea of successfully reviving dinosaurs through this method quite far-fetched.
"Of course, I found it unbelievable! As a biologist, I couldn't believe such a thing could happen in this world!"
"But the fact is, the dinosaurs, extinct for millions of years, are now before your eyes. You can even hold a dinosaur egg and wait for a new dinosaur to hatch!"
"No matter how unbelievable it seems, you can't deny the reality of it!" Chloe replied, her expression showing her disbelief yet acceptance of the facts.
Li Yue found it hard to refute her point. Dinosaurs were before them, no matter how unbelievable their revival process seemed.
...
"I'm done, Mr. Li Yue. I hope this new technology you mentioned works! It's your turn now!" Newton, who had connected the two brain-containing containers, said as he stepped aside for Li Yue. Despite his skilful actions, the various wires were tangled, making it hard to discern any order.
"Don't worry! Deceiving you all serves me no purpose!" Li Yue responded, feeling the curious gazes on him. He set aside the dinosaur revival topic and stepped forward.
"Newton, your habits haven't changed at all! Are you sure he can untangle these connections quickly?" Chloe whispered to Newton, who had returned to her side.
"Ahem, it should... be possible!" Newton replied, coughing to hide his embarrassment.
"Xiaodai, it's your turn!" Li Yue said, feeling he couldn't untangle the wires himself. Fortunately, he had a powerful assistant.
Li Yue waved his left hand, and his wristwatch transformed, shooting out a stream glittered with metallic silver particles like tiny grains of sand. This silver stream formed a metallic box on the ground before the brain containers.
Several fine silver wires extended from the box and accurately connected to the tangled lines, seamlessly integrating with them. Visible electric currents flowed through the wires, and the metallic box transformed into a peculiar device within three seconds.
"Alright, I'm ready, too! We can proceed as planned!" Li Yue smiled, seeing that Xiaodai was ready.
