NOVEL NEXT Chapter 78: (The serum.)
Chapter seventy eight:
We arrived at the second base and I was praying that this would be it for us. I needed to get home to Wanda Maximoff and the kids.
"Alright same as yesterday simple stuff. If you find the lad call over the comms." I said.
We broke down the door and I used my red chaos magic knocking out every hydra agent I saw. Securing the hydra agents moved onto the next level. I let the S. H. I. E. L. D agents take out the next level but there was no serum.
I was actually pretty impressive. Wanda Maximoff had done a good job working on my powers. I now had telekinesis, red chaos, mind reading, flight, and now I had great control. The next level was clear too. I was starting to lose hope that we'd find it today. We moved up to the next level and still no sign of the lab. I was now annoyed taking out the the hydra agents with my red chaos magic.
The S. H. I. E. L. D agents followed behind trapping the hydra agents once I wiped them out. We got to the final level and still no lab.
"Please tell me you've got someone Bucky." I said.
"Nope it's all clear sorry Travis." Replied Bucky Barnes.
I then punched the wall in frustration. I just wanted to be home. Fury's men then came in and arrested the hydra agents.
When I went outside I wanted to smash something I was frustrated.
"Hey look at me. You'll be home by tomorrow for Wanda to cook you something ok?" Said Bucky Barnes.
"I can't do this anymore. None of this is worth the hurt it's causing my family every time I walk out that door." I replied.
"I know. Why don't you head back to the safe house and I'll buy us some cokes?" Said Bucky Barnes.
"Ok." I replied.
We get on the jet and land at the safe house that was near the next location. I didn't understand why we couldn't attack today but Fury's orders are final. We ordered Chinese for dinner and got some cokes in. The S. H. I. E. L. D agents were nice and pretty chatty. They all wanted to try to lift Storm Crusher so I let them. None of them made it move a inch.
One of the S. H. I. E. L. D agents challenged me to a drinking contest.
"Come on old man I bet I could out drink you." Said the S. H. I. E. L. D agent.
"Let's do this." I replied.
We had to drink each coke within 10 minutes. I took my time knowing that if I drink too quickly it'll fizz up and I won't be able to drink as much. The S. H. I. E. L. D agent was cocky downing it straight away. By the time we got to the 5th coke he was struggling. And on the 6th he gave up.
"That's poor form. I mean Bucky and I could have about 30 of these before we needed to stop." I said.
"Only because you've been around since the 1940's." Replied the S. H. I. E. L. D agent.
"I'm only in my 30's so how did that work out. I don't know how you can be a S. H. I. E. L. D agent and unable to do basic math." I said.
He didn't know how to respond making Bucky Barnes and I laugh.
After 20 minutes or so the 10 cokes I drank in a hour started to hit me. And I started to miss Wanda Maximoff so I decided to go to the room to call her. Wanda Maximoff then answered and smiled.
"Have you been drinking coke?" Said Wanda Maximoff.
"Only a little bit." I replied.
"I'm glad you're enjoying yourself Travis. I miss you and can't wait to see you tomorrow." Said Wanda Maximoff.
"I miss you too Wanda. God I miss french kissing you as well as everything else." I replied.
"You know the kitchen table is missing you too Travis." Said Wanda Maximoff.
"Oh really?" I replied.
Wanda Maximoff then nodded her head and smiled.
"And what do you miss about me Wanda?" I said.
"Nothing Travis." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"Fine. I won't come home tomorrow I'll just stay here." I said.
"No Travis I'm sorry. I miss everything about you especially you holding me." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"What about my arms?" I said.
"The way you hold me." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"Anything else?" I said.
"Nothing I can say over the phone because you would have to fly straight home to me and have to do something about it." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"This is torture. I've been tortured by Hydra before but this is worse than that so much worse a zillion times worse." I said.
"I'm glad that you still want me after all this time Travis." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"Wanda you're the hottest woman on the planet. How could I not want you? You're a wonderful mom and wife. You're the love of my life Wanda. And when you look at me I just want to french kiss you all the time and hold you forever." I said.
"I love you so much Travis." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"I love you too Wanda. How are the kids?" I said.
"They're good the boys made a new friend Ryan. He's super smart so he could be a good influence for them. Natasha made a new friend Cara but I don't think Maria likes her." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"I hope that Natasha doesn't hurt Maria. The boys are supposed to be the heart breaker's." I said.
"I wonder where they get that from." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"You and I have been together for 14 years now Wanda. I'd never break your heart." I said.
"Do you want me to stay on the phone until you fall asleep again?"" Replied Wanda Maximoff.
"Yes please." I replied.
