Chapter seventy seven:

We were two months into the school year and it was becoming easier to handle the new number of kids everyday. They had better control on their own powers and was eager to learn. I wasn't enjoying my new role much. It was a lot of office work and sitting around so Wanda Maximoff made sure I had something fun to think about while doing my work. Karen Page and I became best friends and it was going so well working with her. The phone started to ring as I reached for it still half asleep.

"Hello." I said.

"Travis I need you at HQ. I know you're finding it boring behind that desk. I've got a mission for you and Bucky to join in on. You'll be gone for a few days so get packing I need you here in the next few hours." Replied Nick Fury.

Wanda Maximoff's heart began to sink. It's been so long since I've been on a mission. Wanda Maximoff then began to breath heavily and uneasy. She couldn't control it.

"Are you ok?" I said.

Wanda Maximoff then sat up to control her breathing but she couldn't.

"Shh it's ok." I replied holding Wanda Maximoff tightly but she couldn't control her breathing.

"Babe look at me think about something else anything else ok." I said.

Wanda Maximoff's breathing just got quicker so I kissed her long and passionately on the lips to calm her down.

"Thank you." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"It's ok. It's going to be ok. It's just a quick mission I've got Storm Crusher and my red chaos magic to protect me. You look after the kids and the school can run itself just try not to worry ok?" I said.

"I'll try." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

I messaged Bucky and got in the shower. Wanda Maximoff packed my bag for me while I got ready. Never again did Wanda Maximoff think I'd have to go on a mission let alone without her. When I'm ready Wanda didn't want me to leave so she stood in front of the door way.

"Travis please don't go." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"Wanda I don't have a choice. You need to stay strong for the kids ok. I'll be fine. I love you so much Wanda Maximoff." I replied.

"Please Travis... I don't want you to go." Said Wanda Maximoff with tears in her eyes.

I then wiped them away and kissed her gently on the lips. "I have to my love. I'm sorry." I replied before hugging her tightly.

I then walked down the corridor to say goodbye to the kids and sat on the sofa.

"Ok so I have to go away for a few days on a mission. Be good for your mom ok?" I said.

Natasha and the boys didn't say anything but just hugged me tightly. They then walked me outside to the jet where Bucky Barnes was waiting.

"You look after him Bucky I mean it. You bring him back home to me." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"Don't worry. I've got him." Said Bucky Barnes.

I then looked at Wanda Maximoff trying not to cry. Wanda Maximoff then pulled me in for a long passionate kiss on the lips that was full of sadness.

"Stay safe please. I love you Travis ok just come home to me." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"I'll always come back to you. I love you Wanda Maximoff." I said before kissing her gently on the lips before boarding the jet.

Fury briefed us on the mission. Hydra was developing a super serum but there are 3 separate locations where it could be hence the length of the mission. We take the jet to the first location at a abandoned warehouse just outside of New York City. Bucky Barnes and I took a team to different ends of the warehouse planning to meet in the middle.

"Alright guys let's see what you've got. Fine the serum and destroy it." I said.

I then threw Storm Crusher knocking out a row of hydra agents before calling it back to me. The others wiped out the rest of the hydra agents on this side of the room. I then used my red chaos magic to tie them all together with metal which I moulded with my red chaos magic. We then went up the next level. I let the others take over this time knowing Wanda Maximoff was worried about me getting hurt. They're taken them out in a matter of minutes. Still no sign of the serum. Again I tied the hydra agents together using my red chaos magic. The next level I threw Storm Crusher taking out every hydra agent in sight as the others went up a level. Once I got the S. H. I. E. L. D agents together I followed them up. Every single floor there was nothing. I was frustrated. I wanted the mission to be over so I could go home.

"All clear Bucky. No sign of the serum." I said.

"Nothing here either sorry Travis." Replied Bucky Barnes.

We stay in a safe house ordering pizza for dinner. I take mine to the room and FaceTime Wanda Maximoff.

"Hey. How did it go?" Said Wanda Maximoff.

"Turns out your a pretty excellent teacher I kicked some pretty serious Hydra butt with my red chaos magic. No serum though. I'm sorry Wanda." I replied.

"It's ok Travis. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did I just worry about you. I can't lose you Travis." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"You reacted the same way I would have. I'll be home in 2 days and then it will be just you, me and the kids for the rest of our lives Wanda." I replied.

"Are you sure Travis?" Said Wanda Maximoff.

"100%. You're everything to me Wanda. Yes I get bored behind the desk but I'd rather do that instead of worrying you to death. Besides we've found ways to entertain my brain. I love you Wanda. This is it for me I'm ready to spend the rest of my life with you." I replied.

"I love you so much Travis." Said Wanda Maximoff before smiling.

"I love you too Wanda. I'll be home soon beautiful. Will you stay on the phone with me until I fall asleep?" I replied.

"Of course." Said Wanda Maximoff.
