Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Chapter 5: Tony Stark
I have to say, Spider-Man is pretty loyal. He actually helped Luke secretly drive his Uncle Ben's RV out.
On a highway in New York, a white RV was driving slowly and crookedly. Luke was sitting in the driver's seat, hands gripping the wheel. He had a driver's license from his previous life, but now he was driving without one.
As he steered the wheel, he kept giving instructions: "Step on the clutch. No, not that one, that's the accelerator. Shit…"
Because of his height, Luke's 7-year-old body could only sit in the driver's seat with his legs dangling in the air, unable to reach the ground. Peter Parker lay under his seat, listening to his instructions.
"Is it the one on the left?"
"Yeah, man. Step on it."
"Kill them! Kill them!!"
"Who's speaking?"
"Nothing. Okay, step on the brake again."
"Got it."
With a "squeak," the RV braked suddenly, coming to a stop on the side of the road.
Luke wiped the sweat off his forehead. Thankfully, there was no danger on the road, and the New York traffic police seemed to be on holiday. These two 7-year-olds managed to drive the RV smoothly into the city center.
"Okay, we're here. Get out of the car." Luke left the driver's seat and pressed a button to open the RV's wing. The RV raised half its body like a tent.
"Alright, guys!" Peter Parker looked excited. This was his first time doing something like this, and the drive had been thrilling.
More importantly, they were about to sell burgers here!
"This is crazy, man!" Peter rubbed his hands with excitement.
"Calm down," Luke said with a smile. He was excited too, but being an adult in a child's body, he kept his composure. He grabbed a plastic shelf and placed it at the RV's door, then handed a poster to Peter Parker and asked him to put it up.
The poster featured a big hamburger with the text: Burger Nina's delicious burgers, starting at $7.
Inside the RV was a small yet fully equipped hamburger-making station. Neatly arranged next to it were paper packaging bags, transparent sanitary gloves, and an oversized bottle of cheese. Of course, there was also a basket for lettuce, pre-cut tomatoes, and the all-important meat patties.
All of this came from Luke selling his toys.
The patty needed to be processed in advance, which was the soul of the burger. Luke had spent a weekend experimenting and finally succeeded in making the special patty for Burger Nina's Delicious Burger after many failures.
After tasting the burgers they made, Luke and Peter both agreed they were the most delicious burgers they had ever eaten, beating KFC and McD!
Burger Nina's Delicious Burgers was now open for business!
The hamburger truck quickly attracted the attention of passers-by. Luke gave Spider-Man the task of shouting to grab people's attention.
It wasn't hard for Peter Parker; he was happy to be in the spotlight.
Peter Parker stood on the RV, shouting seriously: "Hamburger burger! Delicious Burr Nina burger! Only $7! With $7, you won't lose, you won't be cheated..."
The street was packed with people. This was a busy commercial district, with several large office buildings nearby. Luke had picked a good time—it was lunch hour. Many white-collar workers were walking out of the buildings, preparing to eat.
There was a reason Luke parked the RV here.
Who's the most famous burger lover in the Marvel universe? Do I really need to tell you?
Across from the food truck was the office building of the famous Stark Industries. People walking in and out of the building had noticed the RV. They seemed to be selling burgers? And the sellers appeared to be… two little kids?
At first, they were surprised. Some approached Luke and Peter, asking where the adults were. The first person bought a burger, took a bite, and immediately opened his eyes in disbelief.
"Oh my god! This is the most delicious burger I've ever eaten in my life!"
"Really? Then give me one too," another person said, intrigued.
"Of course, sir. Do you want a regular burger, or do you want extras?" Luke said, smiling with dry eyes. It wasn't easy, but he could finally make some money.
"With tomatoes and lettuce. I want both."
"Okay, wait a moment."
Luke skillfully assembled the burger, adding lettuce, tomato, and the patty, pouring cheese on top, and placing it between the buns. He then handed the completed burger to the customer. Peter Parker happily collected the money beside him.
More people gathered around. Two 7-year-old kids selling burgers quickly became an attraction.
The burgers sold like hotcakes, and everyone who tried one said it was the most delicious burger they'd ever tasted. Many bought two more to take away.
A black, stretched, bulletproof sedan pulled up in front of the Stark Industries building. The chubby driver and bodyguard got out and opened the door. A man in his thirties, wearing a suit and brown glasses, got out and looked toward the RV.
"Why are so many people gathered there? Burger Nina's Delicious Burgers?" Seeing the poster, the man seemed intrigued and walked over with his bodyguards.
"Hey, kid, who's in charge here?" The man looked around but couldn't see the adults selling food.
"Me, and him," Luke said, pointing to himself and Peter Parker.
The man's eyes widened in surprise. He asked in disbelief, "Just the two of you? Is this your food truck?" He pointed at the RV.
"Yes, Mr. Stark," Luke said with a smile.
He recognized him immediately. It was none other than the famous Iron Man, billionaire Tony Stark—a true burger lover.
Peter Parker also recognized him. His face turned pale, and he seemed too excited to speak.
"Give me one. Top-notch configuration." Tony Stark casually pointed at the burger table behind Luke, then changed his mind. "Forget it, give me two."
"Okay, sir. Please wait a moment." Luke turned around to prepare the burgers, a slight smile on his face.
"Poison this guy! This guy makes me really angry!" Ross, the assistant system, poked his head out of Luke's backpack and whispered.
"Shut up," Luke muttered, kicking the backpack.
Once inside Stark Industries, Tony Stark unwrapped the steaming burger wrapper, took a bite, and immediately said "Hmm," nodding in surprise. "It tastes pretty good." He said to his driver and bodyguard, "Happy, I'll buy my lunch here regularly from now on."
"Are you serious?" Happy asked, surprised.
"Of course, it tastes really good. Want one?" Tony handed a burger to Happy.
Happy smiled in gratitude and reached out to take it, but just as his hand was about to touch the burger, Tony pulled it back.
Tony chewed his burger and casually said, "I changed my mind. Go buy it yourself."
Happy just shook his head helplessly. His boss had many flaws, including but not limited to willfulness, arrogance, love of joking, and sometimes acting like a big child. But there was no doubt Tony was one of the most talented people in the world today.
Happy cherished his job and decided not to argue with Tony.
That evening, when Luke counted his earnings for the day, a grin spread across his face.
He had used up all his ingredients and sold a total of 80 burgers. He now had at least $600 in his hands! Not only had he made back his original investment, but he'd also earned a nice little profit!
Luke kissed Ross affectionately. "Finally, I made some money! My lovely magic box, wait for me!"
"Look at your lack of ability. We should've blown up that building today!" a short-legged octopus muttered, dissatisfied.
