Who are you? Why are you pretending to be Steve? Captain Carter glared at the man before her—he looked exactly like Steve Rogers—and immediately took a combat stance.

Captain Carter had volunteered for the serum experiment after Steve had left, and it had only recently been successful.

Normally, she would need some time to adapt to her enhanced body, but after witnessing Captain America's defeat at the hands of General Obsidian on the battlefield, she couldn't wait to jump in and help.

Yet, she had barely stepped out when she encountered this suspicious figure. Captain Carter's anger flared. She suspected this man who resembled Captain America was either an invader or a SHIELD clone.

Either way, the thought made her blood boil with disgust.

"Wait, let me explain!" the future Captain America shouted anxiously, his voice trembling with frustration and helplessness.

He tried desperately to clarify who he was and why he had come, but Captain Carter had already lost her patience.

"I don't need your explanation!" she roared, raising her shield and launching a fierce assault against the future Captain America.

In that moment, the future Captain America felt utterly devastated. What was wrong with this world? It didn't follow the history he knew.

He searched for Loki and the Mind Stone but found no trace. Instead, he found Carter—and this Carter had become Captain America.

In their timeline, Carter should have died of old age by now, so how had she become Captain America here?

Why had the world changed so drastically?

At that moment, Alex Ray—the architect of this world's altered timeline and the cause of the merging of several parallel universes—had just borrowed the Time Stone from Doctor Strange.

"Ding."

"The host has been detected to have obtained the Time Stone!" The system's mechanical, emotionless voice echoed inside Alex's mind. A smile crept across his face—this meant his power was about to increase.

"The system is absorbing energy!" As the words rang out, Alex felt a powerful surge radiate from the Time Stone in his hand, slowly flowing into his body.

He could feel the power coursing through him, like a gentle stream nourishing every fiber of his being.

"The system has begun upgrading. Estimated upgrade time: 24 hours." The voice sounded again. Alex knew this meant he wouldn't be able to use the system's powers for the next day, but afterward, his strength would experience a monumental leap.

He understood the Time Stone couldn't leave his possession during this period. Even if he wanted to travel to the future universe to assist Bruce Banner and the others, he would have to wait a day or two.

For now, the best course was to rest.

Alex took a deep breath, calming his inner excitement, and then returned to the Good Luck Restaurant.

The restaurant was brightly lit and bustling with people. His companions were already gathered around a table, sharing food and laughter. When they saw Alex enter, they stood to greet him.

"Man, Alex, your new trick is insane!" Pietro approached, slapping Alex's shoulder, his eyes shining with admiration and envy.

"Master Alex, come on, I haven't even earned enough friend points yet and you've already swept the field clean," Peter—Toby's version—complained with a pout.

Though slightly dissatisfied, his tone was filled more with respect and awe.

Alex smiled and shook his head. Moving to the center of the group, he clapped his hands and said, "Thank you all for your hard work today. This victory is thanks to every one of you. I speak for everyone when I say I'm grateful."

His voice carried warmth and sincerity, filling the room with a comforting energy.

"We're just doing what's necessary. After all, Hell's Kitchen is part of New York City," Daredevil said with his eyes closed, his voice low but firm and resolute.

"I believe that after this incident, the public's impression of mutants will improve. We're only trying to protect ourselves," Professor X added calmly.

Though simple, his words reflected their shared hopes and convictions.

This time, they had won what they sought.

"However, Manhattan took a serious hit this time. Recovery won't be quick. And who knows how many people have been displaced?" Kingpin said with a frown, rubbing his temples.

His words cast a heavy pall over the restaurant. Though they'd won the war, everyone knew Manhattan would take a year or more to recover. The earlier laughter faded, replaced by a somber mood.

Alex took a deep breath, realizing someone needed to lift their spirits.

There's nothing to be done about it now. War is brutal, but we fought with all we had.

This is something the federal government must address. Our job is to support those displaced.

"That's right, don't blame yourselves. Without us, we might have lost," Tony Stark said, nodding.

"It's fine. Stark Industries will provide financial aid to those displaced," he continued confidently.

"We can also start planning Hell's Kitchen's next steps," Alex said calmly.

Everyone turned to him, curious—wondering what plans he had in store.

Could Alex have already foreseen what lay ahead?

"Hell's Kitchen is currently the only intact part of New York City," Alex said, watching the group nod in agreement. "So I'm launching the Hell's Kitchen Talent Recruitment Plan."

"We don't have enough skilled people here. Before, no top talent wanted to work in Hell's Kitchen. But that's changed. Most of Manhattan's elite have nowhere to go. With good conditions, we can attract outstanding talent here."

Everyone in Hell's Kitchen nodded in agreement.

Alex began to detail the plan: generous compensation, excellent working environments, and broad development opportunities.

He promised that Hell's Kitchen would provide the best support to these new recruits.

Alex rested that night, unaware that Hell's Kitchen was about to welcome another unexpected visitor.
