Marvel : Deadpool Is My Best Friend

Chapter 302 : The Background of Hell's Kitchen

"What is this...? Is it magic?!"

"Shit, did I drink fake wine? I must be seeing things!"

"This glow... it looks just like the ability Alex Ray used before—the Lord of Hell's Kitchen!"

"So many people are walking out of those portals. Did he mobilize the entire Hell's Kitchen army?"

"That's insane... there are more superheroes in the world than I thought!"

"We're saved now, right? Alex Ray will definitely save us!"

After Alex opened several portals, people across the globe watching the situation were once again stunned.

They felt like their minds couldn't keep up. The world suddenly seemed unfamiliar, despite living on this Earth their entire lives.

The sensation was enough to drive anyone crazy.

Where did all these superheroes in Hell's Kitchen come from?

Why are there so many of them?

Is the rest of the world falling behind?

Are superheroes mass-producible now?

The portals glowed like mysterious wells of power, continuously pouring out enhanced individuals.

Some hovered in mid-air. Others zoomed in on high-tech flying machines. Every movement they made radiated power and grandeur.

There were mutants... and tech-based superheroes alike.

Alex Ray watched the figures storming the battlefield like beasts unleashed from their cages. Despite himself, he let out a helpless sigh.

He waved his arms, trying to get their attention, but they acted as though they couldn't see him, unanimously ignoring both Alex and his current opponents—the three Black Order generals.

"Hey, hey, hey! Are you guys seriously ghosting me? I'm the one who teleported you here, you know. Not even a 'thanks'? You're really making me look bad here."

Alex shook his head with a bitter smile. He saw Caine floating past, propelled by gravity, but the blind assassin didn't so much as glance at him.

"Okay, fine, Caine's blind, I get it. Maybe he really didn't see me. And sure, he's got Observation Haki, but I'll just pretend I forgot that."

"But John Wick? Seriously? You looked straight at me and then turned around and walked off. I'm your boss! What the hell was that? You're not even pretending to back me up? Believe it or not, I'll dock your pay!"

He turned, spotting Tobey's Spider-Man swinging toward him with webs.

Even though Peter couldn't beat these guys, Alex would have been satisfied with a little acknowledgment.

Instead, both Peter and Harry Osborn soared right past him without so much as a nod.

"What the hell? Am I not your beloved master? This how you treat me?!"

Worse yet, Alex overheard their conversation:

"How about a bet?" Harry asked Peter. "Whoever racks up fewer kills in this war owes the other 100 friend points."

"I'll leave this to you," Kingpin said coolly, tossing his coat to Bullseye before hardening into diamond and launching himself at the Chitauri swarm.

Alex had brought in this many people partly because it looked badass… but mostly because he genuinely didn't want to fight these enemies solo.

And now they were all ignoring him.

He let out a small laugh. Of course, he wasn't petty enough to hold a grudge about it.

But his opponents—the three generals of the Black Order—were far less tolerant. When they saw Earth's forces taking the initiative, their expressions darkened.

Ebony Maw raised one hand, and a mass of bricks nearby levitated and launched toward the incoming superheroes.

Proxima Midnight powered up, then shot into the air to pick a target and attack at random.

Corvus Glaive, without hesitation, lunged toward Alex, scythe raised high.

"Just because they don't want to fight you doesn't mean I'll let you interfere with them. Your opponent… is me."

Alex met Corvus Glaive's attack head-on.

He summoned his magnetism and swept up the surrounding steel, intercepting Ebony Maw's projectile magic.

Then, he rocketed forward and smashed a powerful punch into Proxima Midnight, sending her crashing back into the earth.

"What a monstrous punch!" Proxima snarled. She rolled several times from the impact before she finally stabilized herself, glaring at Alex with both shock and fury.

Ebony Maw's brow furrowed as he watched his assault easily dismantled.

He waved his arms again, and more bricks shot toward Alex like guided missiles.

But Alex had already prepared for this.

Smiling calmly, he raised his arms—and the steel around him obeyed. It whirled together, forming a dense, seamless wall of metal that blocked the telekinetic barrage completely.

At the same time, Corvus Glaive's scythe swung toward Alex.

But Alex was ready.

He twisted his torso slightly, dodging the deadly arc, then reached out. Magnetism burst from his palm, seizing the scythe and ripping it from Glaive's grip.

"I'll be taking this."

With a grin, Alex hurled the weapon high and far, where it slammed into the ground with a thunderous crash, leaving a massive crater.

Corvus Glaive frowned, watching as his scythe flew out of reach.

"Magnetism... such an annoying power," he muttered, though he didn't appear worried.

He inhaled deeply and extended one steady hand, fingers curling slightly as if pulling on invisible strings.

As he moved, his scythe responded—twirling back through the air before shooting directly into his hand with a metallic whistle.

Proxima Midnight and Ebony Maw now stood at his sides, forming a tight triangle around Alex.

Their combined auras created an almost tangible pressure that could be felt even at a distance.

"They're really strong..." Tobey's Spider-Man said quietly. He could sense the oppressive force of the three Black Order generals, even from far away. If this was what it felt like just watching—he couldn't imagine what it was like for Alex in the middle of it.

"We just have to do our best," the Green Goblin replied calmly. "Leave the rest to Mr. Ray."

Alex faced the trio and frowned.

He'd already tried using magnetism again and failed to pull the scythe away. It was no longer susceptible—Corvus Glaive had regained full control over it.

Which meant one thing: Glaive with his scythe was now an unkillable cockroach.

"A mage, a tank, and a warrior... Great. All they're missing is a healer and they've got a raid boss setup."

He complained silently, but had already summoned the Sword of Victory Restriction in his hand, ready to go all out.

Just then, a glowing rift opened to his right.

"Three-on-one seems a bit unfair, don't you think?" said a voice.

Kadoya Tsukasa stepped through the dimensional wall, calm and composed. Right behind him, Kaito Daiki followed, waving casually at Alex as if to say, Don't worry—we got your back.

"Two more fools to die?" Ebony Maw sneered, eyeing the newcomers. "No matter how many of you arrive… you'll all die the same."

He would soon regret that arrogance.
