Marvel : Deadpool Is My Best Friend

Chapter 202 : Remember to hold Gwen tight

Doctor Octopus nodded at Peter's answer. Tobey's version of Peter had said exactly what he remembered from their last meeting.

Even though this wasn't the Peter from his own universe, Doctor Octopus couldn't help but sigh.

After all, it was comforting to see familiar faces, even across different universes.

Peter was filled with emotion, and from a distance, Alex Ray watched silently, tears welling in his eyes.

Witnessing this scene felt like being transported back to the first time he watched a Spider-Man movie as a child in his previous life. For Alex, Spider-Man was the first superhero he had ever encountered—a vivid memory of his youth.

Only moments like this reminded him that he had truly crossed time and space. This wasn't a dream.

Having lived in the Marvel Universe for over two decades, if not for his multitude of powers, Alex might have already forgotten everything about his past life.

People often envy those who travel through time, but once you actually do, who wouldn't long for home?

Tobey's Peter wasn't just speaking to himself—his words resonated with everyone, including Alex.

He, too, had worked hard to grow stronger and survive in this bizarre world, all in the hope of someday returning to his own universe.

Tobey's Peter continued chatting with Dr. Otto, while Andrew Garfield's Peter and Tom Holland's Peter were locked in a fierce battle.

Due to the timeline, Garfield's Peter was arguably the weakest of the three Spider-Men.

He had just finished fighting the Lizard, and his wounds from the previous day hadn't fully healed, which made his current situation even more difficult.

In contrast, Tobey's Peter had matured significantly through experience.

He had undergone intense training under Alex Ray and sparred with various enhanced individuals in Hell's Kitchen. This had sharpened his combat instincts considerably.

Holland's Peter Parker had benefited from the mentorship of his godfather, Iron Man. Equipped with advanced tech and seasoned by massive conflicts like the battle against Thanos and the Civil War, he had acquired rich combat experience. He was calm and composed, even in dire situations.

But Garfield's Peter had faced the worst of it—no parents, no inherited tech, and he had to develop all his equipment on his own.

He hadn't yet encountered Electro and had no knowledge of his abilities. And the current Electro was a powered-up version.

Garfield's Peter was being beaten back relentlessly.

"Mr. Otto, now isn't the time to reminisce. I have to go help," said Tobey's Peter, observing the battlefield and realizing that Garfield's Peter was in serious trouble. Without hesitation, he rushed in to assist.

Doctor Octopus stood aside, not stopping him.

He watched the battle unfold, deep in thought.

Tobey's Peter used his agility and strength to deflect Electro's attacks, buying time for Garfield's Peter to focus on the Lizard.

But Holland's Peter was now under immense pressure, struggling to fend off two powerful foes at once.

"Why do I have to deal with two of them?" Holland's Peter muttered in frustration, visibly exhausted.

Seeing Doctor Octopus standing idle, Electro snarled, "Damn it, Otto! What the hell are you doing? You planning to betray us?"

Tobey's Peter immediately countered, "Dr. Otto is a good man. He'd never betray us. Don't compare him to yourself."

With that, he launched a web, swung forward, and knocked Electro down with a flying kick.

"I think we should team up and take these guys down together," Tobey suggested.

"I've been wanting to say that for a while. It's exhausting handling two of them by myself," Holland's Peter agreed.

Garfield's Peter said nothing, but nodded in approval.

The three Spider-Men launched a coordinated assault. Their teamwork was impeccable. Together, they managed to bring down the Vulture, who lost his aerial advantage and could no longer fight.

Following that, Garfield's Peter, with the help of the others, injected the serum Gwen had prepared into the Lizard. The effect was immediate.

Under the serum's influence, the Lizard's monstrous form began to dissolve. He reverted to his human state, and clarity returned to his eyes.

Now, only two enemies remained on the battlefield: Electro and Kraven the Hunter.

Both of them glared at the three Spider-Men surrounding them, their eyes gleaming with madness. Kraven was especially elated, shouting, "Magnificent! This is exhilarating!"

His attacks grew fiercer as he attempted to break through the Spider-Men's coordinated defense.

Electro, realizing the tide was turning, glanced toward Ned and Gwen with a vicious glint in his eye.

A cruel idea struck him—if he killed their friends, the Spider-Men would be too distracted to stop him.

"If I'm going down, I'm taking them with me," he thought darkly.

He unleashed a massive surge of electricity at the Statue of Liberty's shield, causing it to collapse.

Gwen, MJ, and Ned, who were already standing atop the statue, found their footing crumbling beneath them.

They scrambled, trying to reach safer ground.

But the statue kept collapsing, and soon, there was nothing left to stand on.

As the final ledge gave way, the three of them plummeted.

Electro hovered in the air, laughing maniacally at the chaos he'd unleashed.

Seeing Gwen, MJ, and Ned falling, the three Peters were stricken with horror.

They ignored the enemies before them and leapt into action, determined to save their friends.

Garfield's Peter instinctively reached for Gwen with his web—but suddenly, Alex Ray's earlier warning echoed in his mind:

"You must hold Gwen tight!"

He realized that catching her with a web might not be safe.

So he shouted to the others, "Don't use your webs! Catch them with your hands—hold them tight!"

He accelerated and caught Gwen in a full-body embrace, cushioning her fall as they landed safely.

The Holland version of Peter did the same, catching MJ. The two of them held each other tightly—and then kissed passionately.

Tobey's Peter caught Ned. They landed a bit awkwardly.

Looking at the other two couples nearby, Tobey and Ned exchanged an awkward glance, both feeling like third wheels.

Ned broke the silence with a laugh. "So… should we hug too?"

Tobey's Peter couldn't help but chuckle, and just like that, the awkwardness between them vanished.
