Chapter 201 : Gather and prepare for a team fight!
Alex Ray instantly recognized the newcomer—Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man—but for once, Tony Stark had been wrongly blamed. The chaos was clearly Doctor Strange's doing.
Originally, Alex thought Garfield's Peter hadn't arrived. To his surprise, not only had he shown up, but he'd also brought his girlfriend.
At that moment, Ned shouted excitedly, "Peter! I'm here to help you!"
But as soon as the words left his mouth, all three Spider-Men turned to look at him.
Ned froze in embarrassment and quickly clarified, "I meant the Peter I know!"
"It's me, it's me," Tom Holland's Peter called out mid-fight, pointing at himself.
"Why are you here? And… you brought your girlfriend?" Tobey Maguire's Peter asked Garfield's version of Peter, clearly recognizing him from the multiversal meetup. He hadn't expected Garfield's Spider-Man to make the jump into this universe, let alone with company.
"Let's talk later—got enemies to deal with first," Garfield's Peter replied. He launched himself toward his old foes—the Lizard and Electro—his eyes narrowing with focus. He hadn't expected to end up in another universe again, much less find Tobey's Peter, someone he now considered a friend.
"Whoa. Three Spider-Men fighting side by side," MJ exclaimed, eyes wide with awe.
"Yeah… I can't believe it either," Gwen Stacy murmured, stunned. Everything Peter had told her—the wild tales about multiverse travel, other Spider-Men, and even Alex Ray saving her father—had sounded unbelievable. But seeing the trio battle together erased all doubt.
Garfield's Peter had come clean to Gwen about Alex Ray saving both Uncle Ben and Captain George Stacy. At first, she thought he was just making things up as an excuse to break up. But witnessing this moment—the convergence of multiple Spider-Men—forced her to accept the truth.
Ned swelled with pride as he watched the three Spider-Men coordinate.
"All thanks to me," he said smugly.
. . . . . .
Ten minutes earlier, MJ and Ned had been anxiously perched on the sofa, eyes glued to the TV.
A breaking news alert had just aired: a violent explosion had rocked Holland Peter's apartment. The place was wrecked.
Their stomachs dropped. Peter was in serious trouble.
MJ frantically dialed his number, but all she got was a cold, robotic "cannot connect" tone.
Peter was in the thick of it, dodging the Sinister Six's relentless attacks. These villains were stronger, more unpredictable than any he'd faced before.
His comms were down—Electro's interference had knocked out the signal. He was cut off, surrounded, outmatched.
Back in the apartment, Ned racked his brain. That's when he remembered the Sling Ring Doctor Strange had given him.
Without hesitation, Ned slipped the ring onto his fingers and mimicked Strange's hand movements from memory.
A golden portal shimmered into existence.
He and MJ stared at the glowing vortex, stunned.
Quickly regaining his composure, Ned shouted toward the portal, "I'm looking for Peter Parker! Peter Parker!"
Moments later, a figure appeared—a Spider-Man stepping through with a woman holding his hand.
"Who are you?" MJ asked, eyes narrowing.
"I'm Peter Parker," Garfield's Peter replied.
It was Garfield Peter and Gwen Stacy. After their encounter with Alex Ray, Garfield had immediately gone to find Gwen. As they talked, Doctor Strange had begun casting the memory-erasure spell—and they'd been yanked into this universe mid-conversation.
MJ turned to Ned, disbelieving. "This can't be real."
"He is Peter Parker," Gwen confirmed, her tone serious. "Who are you?"
But this wasn't the Peter MJ and Ned had hoped for.
Their faces fell in disappointment.
Still determined, Ned tried again—he opened another portal.
This time, they saw Tom Holland's Peter, locked in a desperate fight on the Statue of Liberty.
MJ and Ned jumped up with renewed hope and bolted toward the second portal.
Garfield's Peter, spotting Tobey's Peter on the other side, turned to Gwen. "I've got to help them."
"I'm coming too," Gwen said firmly, gripping his hand. "I won't be a burden."
The two stepped through together.
Now, all three live-action Spider-Men were present.
The stage was set for an epic team-up.
Only one thing was missing—while Holland and Garfield had their girlfriends at their side, poor Tobey's Spider-Man remained alone.
. . . . . . . .
"Team-up time!" Holland's Peter shouted.
"Let's use codenames or this'll get messy," Tobey's Peter suggested. "I'm Spider-Man One."
"I'll be Spider-Man Two," Garfield's Peter chimed in.
"Fine. Guess I'm Spider-Man Three," Holland said with a smirk.
The battle had reached its peak. The three Spider-Men coordinated seamlessly, trading blows and quips while dodging the relentless attacks of the Sinister Six.
Gwen stood back, hands clenched tight, silently praying for Peter's safety.
MJ's eyes were wide, unable to look away.
Ned whooped and cheered, caught up in the thrill of the fight.
The first villain to go down was the Sandman. With Garfield's Peter taking the Lizard off his hands, Tobey's Peter handled Sandman with ease.
As he turned to back up the others, a metal tentacle lashed out from the side—Doctor Octopus had entered the fray.
Tobey's Peter barely dodged in time, mask pulled off as he spun to face the new threat.
"Peter?" a familiar voice called out.
Tobey turned—and there he was. A graying Otto Octavius, clad in a black jacket and sunglasses, blocking his path.
"Otto?" Tobey's Peter gasped.
But this Doc Ock was different—older, wearier.
"How are you ?" Octavius asked quietly. His voice was full of unspoken emotion, like he had countless things he wanted to say but didn't know how.
The question hit Tobey's Peter harder than he expected.
He wanted to tell Octavius he had the wrong guy—that this wasn't his universe. But the words caught in his throat.
He didn't know why.
Instead, he answered honestly.
"Trying to be better."
