"Sonic gun! It silently takes lives, much like a ghost."
Kraven held up the weapon and addressed the audience:
"This gun doesn't produce loud bangs or explosions like conventional firearms. It allows for an imperceptible attack, making sonic weapons incredibly deadly."
He smirked proudly at the live-stream audience. "I once used it to hunt rhinos!"
"This weapon can be used against Spider-Man—actually, I've designed it specifically to deal with him. Using it here is almost overkill."
Feigning regret, he quickly added, "But don't worry. I've studied both Spider-Men. I know their habits and movements. After this live broadcast, I'll show you how I hunt these two humanoid spiders."
Walking among the fallen leaves of the forest, he continued boasting to the drone, "Once I mark my prey, there's no escape."
He quoted theatrically, "I have checked my ticket and set my alarm. Fortune dipped her fingers in black ashes and marked her prey's forehead. No one has painted their doors with lamb's blood."
("Anointed with the blood of the lamb" refers to the Biblical practice where lamb's blood on a doorpost signified protection from death.)
As Kraven bragged, his live-stream popularity soared, with viewers flooding in to watch. Despite his confident demeanor, his sharp instincts never wavered. He maintained contact with his team via headset, ensuring the traps he'd set were still intact.

At the Movie Theater
Gina, the theater manager, watched Kraven's live stream on a massive screen, a half-empty whiskey bottle beside her.
She whistled softly before raising the bottle and taking three long gulps, her throat moving like a piston.
Already tipsy, she smirked when Fletcher entered the room after finishing a phone call.
"The scent of whiskey fills my nose, and that guy's face keeps assaulting my eyes," Gina said, referring to Kraven.
She then chuckled. "You know what? That man reminds me of my ex-husband."
Fletcher leaned back in his chair. "Didn't he die?"
"Oh, he's dead. Dead as can be. He was a die-hard fan of Kraven the Hunter—he even had the club badge."
Gina took another swig of whiskey, her tone casual. "I chopped him up and tossed him in the trash can."
Fletcher didn't react, instead focusing on the screen as Gina continued her story.
A few minutes passed before Fletcher finally spoke. "Is that it?"
"What?" Gina replied, confused.
"Your story. It sounds more like the start than the end."
"I feel great," Gina replied dismissively.
Fletcher pressed further. "You can't have just chopped him up on a whim because he idolized Kraven."
"Why not?" Gina asked, unimpressed. "And I didn't toss the bones—just the meat."
"Your husband?"
"Yes, my husband."
Fletcher fell silent, listening to the voice of Kraven on the big screen.
"I just don't believe you'd kill him for no reason," Fletcher said finally.
Gina's expression hardened. "Let me tell you—he deserved it."
"I'm not judging, but it feels like there's more to the story," Fletcher replied.
Gina shrugged. "It was an arranged marriage—my mother's and grandmother's choice. Where I'm from, women have no autonomy. We're just tools—crutches, stools to step on, or vacuums with breasts."
Fletcher swirled the wine in his glass. "Harsh, but fair."
"My husband was a crude, graceless man who ruined everything good and orderly with his mere presence. He was like a cancer. One night during dinner, he threw pasta onto the carpet over some petty argument. Then he grabbed my wrist while I still held the noodles and hit me."
Fletcher nodded silently.
"So, I grabbed the typewriter from the living room and smashed it against his head. Then I dragged him into the kitchen."
Fletcher showed no shock or discomfort as Gina recounted her tale.
After finishing her story, she leaned back and said, "You and I—we're the same. Both cruel in our own ways."
Fletcher replied coldly, "So that's why you joined the vampire camp?"
Gina shook her head. "Not exactly, but close. That killing awakened something in me. It showed me that life is just a continuous hunt. I didn't realize it until then. I owe him for making me who I am today."
Six months earlier, Gina had been turned into a vampire by Fletcher.

As Kraven patrolled the forest, a shadow struck him from nowhere, hammering his collarbone and leaving him breathless.
He quickly fired a shot, the deafening sound echoing through the forest, but the dark figure lunged again, slamming him into a tree.
Kraven's world blurred, pain dulling into numbness as he was hoisted into the air.
Looking up, he saw his attacker: a two-meter-tall werewolf with blood-red eyes. Its feral aura radiated a deadly menace that froze Kraven's blood.
The predator's growl seemed to promise one thing—Kraven was about to be torn to pieces.
