Chapter 250: Long Gone
Desperation. Panic. Fear. Nervousness.
Bernard was crippled with much of the heavier emotions that came with the realization that he might actually lose this fight and get jailed for the rest of his life.
The luxury lifestyle that he had been treasuring was crumbling all around him. It was all because of this Hunter family right in front of him.
'I don't know anymore!'
Bernard moved his hand behind his back, moved his shirt, and revealed a tucked-away revolver. It had a chamber full of bullets.
He pulled it out, aimed it at the spot between Karma's brows, and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
"?!"
Karma's eyes shook.
However, then Kiernan moved in front of him, his hands outstretched. The hands redirected the bullet away.
The bullet smashed through a nearby wall.
"The hell?!"
Bernard's expression turned hideously ugly.
"Son…"
Karma looked up at Kiernan with wide eyes. He just realized that he knew nothing about Iron Style. It was as vast as the ocean and as deep as the darkest abyss.
All he could wonder was how Kiernan could teach himself such technique. It needed immense courage to stand in front of a bullet and then deflect that bullet away.
It should take decades of training, but Kiernan was only a seventeen-year-old kid!
Kiernan suddenly kicked the revolver out of Bernard's hands and made it fly out of the window. The glass shattered, raining glass on top of some unassuming spectators.
Those couple of the spectators looked over in anger and wondered what the hell was happening over there.
Some of them could almost swear that they heard a gunshot just a moment ago, but since the stadium was very loud, they couldn't be sure.
"Maybe we should call for the stadium's security?"
"Yeah, you're right, let's do that!"
The fight ensued.
Karma dodged Bernard's swinging fists, then elbowed him across the face. Bernard stumbled backward, clutching his bleeding nose.
The look of a gentleman had disappeared from his face. He now looked like a raging beast.
"Iron Style, Rock n' Roll!"
The twisting hand came from Kiernan, grazing Bernard's side of the neck, and made it twist at an unnatural angle.
"Argh!"
Bernard coughed out blood and felt the tightness on the side of his neck. He couldn't move his head around anymore. He lost the ability to do that.
"Iron Smash!"
Karma punched him in the face. He focused all the strength in one point. The point was between Bernard's brows, and that spot in the skull cracked under the immense force.
The tag team between Karma and Kiernan was too much!
"Good job, son!"
Karma said with excitement rushing through his body.
He had forgotten about how fun fighting could be. Even though this was a fight to the death, it was still really fun for him to fight after such a long time.
"Try this technique—use your Iron Smash, and when it hits the opponent, unclench your fist and let the impact disperse throughout his body!"

Kiernan shouted.
"Oh? Alright!"
Karma moved close to Bernard. He immediately responded with a sloppy, panicky punch.
The punch easily missed, and Karma then reeled back his fist before smashing it into Bernard's chest.
"Iron Smash!"
Then, as his fist buried deep into his stomach, he unclenched his fist, and the power of a single point dispersed into ten different points in Bernard's chest.
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
"Argh!"
Bernard's body trembled, and his limbs twisted and tangled with each other. The blood flowed down his face. It looked like he was hit more than once.
"What is that technique's name?"
Karma asked in surprise.
"Iron Smash Breaker!"
Thump!
Bernard fell down on the ground, but he tried to stand back up only to fall back down again.
"No… no! No!"
"The fight is over, Bernard."
Karma said, and then pulled out his phone to call for the police.
"Huff! Huff! Huff!"
Bernard barely sat back up and looked out of the shattered window towards the blue sky. It was far too good of a weather to get sent to jail for life.
It all crumbled apart after many of the bad choices.
"Hey, what is going on over here?!"
Through the door, the stadium's security came with Azer. They came immediately after hearing some commotion as if people were fighting.
They saw something they didn't expect. Bernard was sitting on the ground, all bloodied and broken.
It would usually look bad if someone attacked such a high-profile figure, but in this case, it looked like there was something more to this.
"Karma, what in the world is going on here?"
Azer asked and then saw Kiernan here, making him very surprised. He should be preparing for a potential fight, but instead, he was here fighting Bernard.
Karma explained everything as carefully as he could. He told about Bernard burning down the school, then going after him, and finally about him going after Kiernan here.
Everything shocked Azer to the core. He didn't expect the fellow principal of a school to go to his extent.
Karma then handed him the recording, and he silently listened to it, where Bernard exposed himself.
"Bernard, how could you…?"
Azer looked genuinely angry, then waved to the security, who went and cuffed Bernard like a criminal.
"Hands off me! Do you have any idea who I am, bastards?!"
Bernard kept screaming, but the security dragged him out and had already called for police to come pick him up.
"I never expected him to go this far for success…"
Azer said with a heavy sigh and looked out of the window towards the stage. The match between Karuza High and Sumino High had come to an end.
Dominic defeated Sumino High's strongest fighter with a dominant display of power.
"What'll happen to Irio High now?"
"Ah, they'll just choose the new principal and move on. Kiernan, you should be getting ready for the finals."
"Hmm, right."
Kiernan patted his father on the shoulder and then left the VIP room behind. It was going to be a long day for Azer and Karma, as they needed to talk to police regarding Bernard.
One thing was for sure: none of them were going to see Bernard ever again.
