Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress

As Weiss stood behind a rock while hiding her body, she was watching the giant monster that was devouring all the dead humans. It was even eating the blood soaked soil which showed just much this monster loved the blood of a human.

Weiss had seen several large monsters and even her pet snake was quite large in length. But they were nothing compared to this Earth Overturning Great monster.

This beast looked very similar to a fat crocodile. It had spikes on its back and Weiss was sure that biting strength of this monster would definitely be off the charts.

From its nose to it's tip the tail, this monster was almost 30 meters long. And this super large monster was moving on the ground as if it was a pool of water. Seeing this Weiss could understand why this monster beast was given the name of Earth Overturning.

From how strong this beast felt, Weiss was sure that killing it would not be easy. With its large size and very thick and powerful skin, inflicting any significant wounds on it's body would be a very challenging.

Not just that but this monster was quite fast too. So dodging it's attacks would not be easy for anyone whose primary attribute was not agility.

After seeing with her own eyes how strong this monster beast actually was, Weiss was even more curious about how the count was planning to defeat it. As he had used quite a few mysterious items so far, Weiss wanted to see what other items did he have. So she started to quietly follow behind the Earth Overturning Great monster.

This monster had a very powerful sensory organ that allowed it to sense life force of a person even from a long distance. But in exchange for having this extremely useful organ, all the other sensory organs like the nose and eyes of this monster were not very good.

That was why, Weiss, who was capable of controlling her life force very precisely, was able to follow the monster without being detected at all.

Weiss could sense that the knights who were with Count Falgur had started to flaunt their aura. So the Earth Overturning Great monster had definitely already noticed them too.

But it looked like this monster was planning to enjoy the blood of the already dead knights first before going to them. Weiss did not too close to the monster and continued to follow it while maintaining a safe distance.

After devouring the last part of the ground that was soaked in the human blood, the monster let out a loud roar. After that it finally started to go toward the location here the knights were.

This time, the monster was swiming in the ground at an even faster pace than before. It was so fast that it actually managed to get out of Weiss sight in a blink of an eye. Fortunately, Weiss was still able to sense it because of her strong perception and chased after it.

As the count was patiently waiting for the Earth Overturning Great monster to appear here, the knight who was keeping an eye on the mirror suddenly shouted -

"My lord, the great monster is coming toward our location. It will reach us in five, no three minutes. Please be prepared."

Hearing this, the count immediately took out his sword and got ready. Even though he had several plans ready and also had several helpers, in the upcoming battle, he definitely needed to take the stage as he was the only high level knight in the team.

As everyone waited for the monster to appear, they were able to sense the disturbances in the ground. As the monster was treating the solid ground as if it was water, the knights here were able to sense that.

"Here it comes !!!"

As soon as the knight with the mirror shouted this, the open mouth of a monster came out of your ground and tried to swallow some of the knight present here in just one bite.

But none of the people present here were inexperienced. All of them had reached the rank of an official knight after suffering a lot of hardship. So even though the attack of the monster was very sudden, they managed to dodge it without getting in each other's away.

After failing to eat any of the knights with its first attack, the Earth Overturning Great monster roared in anger and got ready to do a second attack. It's large tail went toward one of the knights with great speed. He tried to dodge it but failed to do so perfectly.

So he was sent flying with his hands bend in an unnatural way. But for a knight, this was not actually a major wound and he should even be able to come back into the battle after taking a little rest.

But his healing was going to taken time. And the monster was unwilling to give any time to him. So it followed the injured knight and tried to make him it's first victim.

But at this exact moment, the count and his knights took out several glass balls filled with some kind of liquid and threw them toward the Earth Overturning Great monster.

Each of the glass balls were as large as a barrel. So after they broke, the monster got showered with several liters of the blue liquid that was inside it.

But this action did not stop the monster from attacking the injured knight and the large mouth of the beast swallowed him whole.

It had barely been a minute since the start of the battle and the count's side had already lost one of its knights. But that did not make the count worried at all.

After eating an official knight, the monster roared again but this time with happiness. But soon this happy roar become a bit strained as the monster started to feel weak.

Weiss was observing the battle from a distance while position herself in the most advantageous location. After seeing what was happening to the Earth Overturning Great monster, she guessed that it was similar to the effect of the poison that she had tested just some time ago.

Weiss was curious how the little amount of poison from a few death bodies could effect a monster this large but it turned out that the count had a different substance that could boost the adverse effects of that poison.

But would this be enough to turn the tide of the battle toward Count Falgur ?
