Love Together, Be with you never

Chapter 27: Mr.Rude and Sarah.

The next morning as Sarah woke up and got ready and then Sarah walked into the dining room, still half-asleep, only to find William sitting at the table with his perfect posture and that annoyingly composed expression. She froze for a moment, blinking as if hoping it was a bad dream.

"You again?" Sarah groaned dramatically, rubbing her eyes. "You really won't stop meeting me, will you? First at university, and now in my house? Isn't this a bit much, even for someone like you?"

William barely looked up, taking a deliberate sip of his coffee before replying in his usual indifferent tone. "Trust me, the feeling's mutual. If I had a choice, I'd gladly avoid seeing your face first thing in the morning."

Sarah plopped down into the chair across from him, narrowing her eyes. "Well, if I'm so unbearable, why are you even here?"

William finally glanced at her, his lips curving into the faintest smirk. "Our moms are friends. Unfortunately, I have to bear with your existence."

Sarah rolled her eyes and grabbed a piece of toast. "Wow, thanks for the honor, Mr.William. I'll try not to let my existence inconvenience you too much."

"Please do," William said smoothly, picking up his fork. "And while you're at it, maybe try to act a little less… dramatic."

Sarah leaned forward, her voice laced with mock sweetness. "Oh, don't worry, William. I'll save my dramatics for when you're not around. Wouldn't want to overwhelm you."

"Appreciated," he replied, cool as ever, though there was a glimmer of amusement in his eyes.

Their moms, sitting nearby, exchanged knowing smiles but said nothing, letting the two bicker like schoolchildren.

After the breakfast as Sarah took her bag and went to the parking lot to go to the university then Sarah stopped in her tracks. "Wait a second! Why are you coming with me?"

Before William could respond, Sarah's mom appeared behind them with a bright smile. "Oh, come on, Sarah! William doesn't know the university, and you're going there anyway. Be a good host and take him with you."

Sarah sighed, clearly annoyed. "Mom, he can figure it out himself. It's not rocket science. Her mom gave her a stern look. "Sarah."

"Fine," Sarah muttered under her breath, stomping toward the car."But don't blame me if he gets lost on purpose."

William followed her with his usual calm demeanor. "Don't worry, Mrs. Mitchell. I'll survive—even if someone makes it difficult."

As soon as they got in the car, Sarah sighed dramatically. "Great. First, I had to see you at breakfast. Now I have to sit with you too? Isn't this a bit much?"

William glanced at her, his tone as dry as ever. "Believe me, I didn't ask for this either. But your mom insisted, and I'm polite enough to listen."

Sarah crossed her arms. "Polite? You're the least polite person I've met. And now I have to deal with you all the way to university?"

William smirked slightly. "Don't worry. I'll just practice ignoring you during the ride."

Sarah's eyes widened. "Ignoring me? You're unbelievable! Maybe I should throw you out of the car."

"Please do," William replied, his tone calm. "Walking might actually be quieter."

Sarah glared at him but couldn't stop the small smile tugging at her lips. "You're so annoying."

"And you're loud," William said, leaning back in his seat. "Can we get to the university now?"

The driver started driving the car.

As the car stopped at the university gate, Sarah stepped out, stretching her arms. "Finally! I thought I was going to lose my mind with you in the car."

William got out and barely acknowledged her. "Well, at least you had something to complain about the whole time."

Sarah rolled her eyes and started walking toward the university, but then stopped. "Oh, I left my water bottle in the car. Can you grab it for me?"

William didn't even look up from his phone. "You forgot it, you get it."

Sarah sighed in frustration. "Seriously? You're right there!"

"And you're the one who forgot it," William said, not even looking up from his screen.

She stomped back to the car, grabbed her bottle, and turned to him, holding it up. "You're Mr. Rude from now on."

William raised an eyebrow. "I don't care what you call me."

"Oh, you will. Trust me, Mr. Rude is here to stay."

Kane leaned against the university building, his arms crossed, watching students filter in. His sharp gaze locked onto Sarah as she walked through the gates with someone unfamiliar—a tall, sharp-featured guy who seemed like he owned the world.

Lucas, standing a little farther off, also noticed them. His brows furrowed as he saw Sarah laughing while the guy smirked faintly in response.

Kane's jaw tightened. Who is he?

Lucas tilted his head slightly, observing the duo as they entered the building. His eyes lingered on Sarah, a flicker of concern crossing his face.

Kane didn't say a word, but the dark look on his face said it all. Without waiting, he straightened up and walked toward the entrance, following them inside.

As fate would have it, Kane and William ended up walking into their classroom at the same time. Neither acknowledged the other, but the air between them was thick with unspoken tension.

William glanced at Kane briefly, his expression unreadable, before walking to a seat in the back. Kane, meanwhile, took his usual spot, his fists clenching as he stared at the front of the class.

In another classroom, Lucas sat beside Sarah, watching her out of the corner of his eye. He finally broke the silence. "So… who's the guy you came in with?"

Sarah looked up from her notebook, confused. "What guy?"

"The tall one. All serious-looking. You were walking in together," Lucas clarified.

"Oh, him," Sarah said, rolling her eyes. "That's William."

"William?" Lucas repeated. "Are you two… close?"

"Close?" Sarah looked genuinely offended. "Lucas, are you serious? He's the most annoying person I've ever met. My mom forced me to come with him this morning."

Lucas frowned. "He didn't seem annoying. Actually, he barely seemed like he cared about anyone."

"Exactly!" Sarah exclaimed. "That's why I call him Mr. Rude. He's full of himself, doesn't talk to people, and acts like he's too good for the world."

Lucas smirked. "Mr. Rude, huh? So, you don't like him?"

Sarah shot him a look. "Like him? No way. He's the last person I'd ever like. Trust me, Lucas, he's just a headache I have to deal with because of my mom."

Lucas relaxed slightly, but his curiosity lingered. "Alright. But if he's bothering you, let me know."

Sarah gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Lucas. He might be annoying, but I can handle Mr. Rude just fine."
