Chapter 735: Heroes Mourn Heroes
Qin Yi was silent for a long time, looking at Mo Wuji, he said, "Okay, let me wait and see."
To be honest, he really didn't want to kill Mo Wuji, because he truly admired him. Whether it was his skills in endurance or his clever mind, he was the most impressive he had ever seen.
With a friend like this, one's life journey would not be lonely.
As they say, heroes cherish heroes, he still hoped to become real friends with Mo Wuji.
"Mo Wuji, I hope you don't let me down."
Mo Wuji was taken aback. To his surprise, he saw hope in Qin Yi's eyes and couldn't help but laugh. It seemed Qin Yi also wanted him to be his friend.
Qin Yi raised his hand, Purple Light sweeping through, helping Mo Wuji to heal his injuries; the previous punch had shocked him.
"Little White Fairy, sorry for scaring you," Qin Yi said with a grin.
Bai Jingqing kept a straight face, "Do you believe us now?"
Qin Yi shook his head.
Bai Jingqing's mouth twitched.
"I wonder what Qin brother has experienced? Don't say you suspect we're fake, now I'm starting to doubt whether we too stumbled into an Illusion Array," Mo Wuji said.
Qin Yi looked around, "Where's that lake?"
Mo Wuji shook his head, "When we found you, we didn't see a lake. You were unconscious, we tried to get you out, but this place is too sinister. It's been three days, and all we've seen is endless yellow sand, nothing else."
"Seen anyone else?"
Mo Wuji shook his head.
Qin Yi said sternly, "There are still many disciples of the Five Great Families scattered around. We don't have much time, we must quickly find Fang Ran and others and kill them. Then we must escape, leaving others to be found and killed."
Mo Wuji nodded, "We have less than half a month left, indeed we need to hurry."
"It moved," Bai Jingqing said.
Qin Yi was slightly stunned, seeing Bai Jingqing looking down at the ground. He subconsciously looked down too, only to see the sand slightly trembling.
"It's those strange large ships, we've encountered two in these three days, plus the one we encountered together before, making it three," Mo Wuji said.
Qin Yi frowned, "So many?"
"Qin brother, it seems we need to hide. As long as we stay away from the large ships, there will be no danger."
Qin Yi nodded slightly, but he was curious, these large ships were obviously warships, why were there so many?
"Qin brother, the ships are coming from the front, we need to go around them."
Qin Yi nodded, and the group moved to the right.
Along the way, Qin Yi glanced back, a large dark shadow cut through the yellow sand and thick fog, identical to the ship they saw before, but not the same one.
The large ship roared as it sailed forward, unstoppable. It didn't pursue Qin Yi and the others.
"The ships you encountered afterward, were they all going in the same direction?" Qin Yi asked.
Mo Wuji shook his head, "Is Qin brother suggesting that following these ships might lead us out?"
Qin Yi smiled, "You really are a worm in my stomach, you know everything I'm thinking."
Mo Wuji smiled wryly, "That's not hard to guess, is it? I thought of it before too, but these ships don't go in the same direction, their routes have no pattern."
"It seems we can only rely on ourselves to get out," Qin Yi said.
The group could only trudged forward against the wind and sand.
An hour later, Qin Yi suddenly stopped.
"Qin brother, what's wrong?" Mo Wuji asked curiously.
Qin Yi pointed to the ground.
Mo Wuji looked in the direction Qin Yi pointed, seeing several shallow footprints on the ground.
Footprints meant someone had passed by.
This was sandy ground, very easy to leave footprints. Mo Wuji observed for a while, "Judging by how these footprints were covered by sand, the people who passed by didn't exceed half an hour ago."
Qin Yi's mouth curved, "Let's go, catch up and see. This ghost place is too boring, finding someone to chat with is good too."
The group followed the footprints ahead, after about half an hour, the footprints became clearer.
"Qin brother, it seems we're getting close."
Qin Yi nodded slightly, "Hope it's a big fish, not a small fry."
"Qin brother, we shouldn't be choosy now, right? Whether it's a big fish or a small fry, they all need to be taken out."
Qin Yi nodded slightly, Mo Wuji was right, anyway other than Mo Wuji and the people of Baihua Pavilion, no one else should be spared.
"Old Mo, how are things between you and Little White Fairy now? I was unconscious for three days, did you get closer?" Qin Yi casually asked, eyes full of mischief.
Mo Wuji was taken aback, bitterly smiled and shook his head.
"Damn, useless."
Mo Wuji could only smile wryly. Then he took something out to show Qin Yi.
Qin Yi took it, it was one of the gemstones he had given Mo Wuji, the red one was given to Bai Jingqing before, this was the blue one, but Mo Wuji had carved it into a heart shape.
"Old Mo, you got skills, to even think of this. Anyone who doesn't know might think you're a seasoned flirt."
Carving the gemstone into a heart shape, even Qin Yi hadn't thought of that.
"Why not give it to her?"
Mo Wuji whispered, "I don't dare."
"Uh..."
Qin Yi was utterly baffled, "What's there not to dare?"
Mo Wuji scratched his head, "The key is I haven't found the right time, afraid of being rejected. Last time's gemstone was natural, but this time it's heart-shaped, giving it means revealing my feelings."
"Isn't that just perfect? Anyway, you've been craving Little White Fairy for not just a day or two."
Mo Wuji glanced back sneakily, whispered to Qin Yi, "Honestly, I'm afraid of rejection."
Qin Yi rolled his eyes, "The key to pursuing someone has three points. First, persistence. Second, shamelessness. Third, persistently shameless. You're dawdling like this, your White Junior Sister would have kids with someone else, and you're still hesitating."
"I admit I'm really no match for Qin brother in this, let me find a suitable time to give it."
Qin Yi's face darkened, "Damn, I'm helping you, and you insult me? Are you saying I'm thick-skinned?"
"No, no, Qin brother don't misunderstand, I mean..."
"What about Little White Fairy?" Before Mo Wuji finished, Qin Yi suddenly shouted.
Mo Wuji instinctively turned around to look, only to have his leg kicked by Qin Yi, causing him to kneel involuntarily.
Bai Jingqing was startled, hurriedly stopped, looking at Mo Wuji in confusion.
"Little White Fairy, Old Mo has something to say to you," Qin Yi said with a smile, then secretly kicked Mo Wuji, "Old Mo, didn't you have something to give Little White Fairy? Why are you still standing there?"
Mo Wuji was so nervous he didn't know what to do, usually calm and composed, now he was so nervous he didn't know what to say.
Bai Jingqing looked at Mo Wuji, with a hint of hope in her eyes.
