Life after being a Mercenary

I was currently on my way to the SC COMPANY because that is what Sam told me to do. He even offered me to take me on a ride into here but I refused because, accident might happen to them because of me especially when the DIGITS are probably here, spying on me.

I saw all of the people leaving there with cameras and even pens and papers. What happen in here? Is there a famous person who is in here or what?

"Non of that matters for now..... I am gonna apply for the Job and it should be easy because Sam said he puts up a good word for me and Jin"

I said as I enter through the entrance of the building. As soon as I enter, everything perfectly clear and beautiful. From furnitures, interiors and staff, all of it looks good and beautiful. The staffs are also nice to me because as soon as I enter, the staffs started greeting me with respect. Although all of them was a women and their face is red..... Are they sick....?

Well, I just need to asked where the chairman company is so that I can now apply... But I think I don't need to meet the chairman right....? But Sam said that I should because the chairman says he wants to see me..... Why?

I asked some staffs where the chairman's office is and they also asked me if I have a meeting schedule with the chairman. I just says yes and they let me know where the chairman's office is, I'm basically not lying. Sam said that the chairman wants to see's me so i am here.

'Why does the chairman of a famous company wanna see me anyway?'

I thought as I enter the elevator and clicked the 50 floor, they said that this company is where the celebrities go to because of the chairman's daughter befriending them. Well, what did I expect from a famous and huge company such as these?

I arrived in the 50th floor after waiting for a few minutes, I then saw a big two doors and each doors are getting guard by two broad looking guys by each side of it. I then walked towards them and says that I was going to meet the chairman but just as I was about to open my mouth to speak, they talked and bowed to me.

"Welcome, the chairman is waiting for you"

"Welcome, the chairman is waiting for you"

They say and then open the door for me, the light that has been inside of this room that enters from the window go outside as they open the door. I then enter the room and then saw a man with white hair and a beard, it is not that long. Beside him is a middle aged guy in a black suit, standing on his side.

"Hello, I was waiting for you. Just as Kay and Sam says, you sure are looks handsome..... Just as I remember 3 years ago"

He just says that makes me so much confused. Have we met before? Why did he says that he remember me just as I was 3 years ago? I don't even remember who he i--

'wait....'

I stopped and thought for a moment... I recognised this man... It was surely 5 years ago.....

I was looking at him with my hands on my chin and while looking down and after a few moments, I looked up again with a shocker expression on my face.

"Your that.....!"

"Do you remember me now?"

Yeah, I remember him now. It was surely 3 years ago...

//3 YEARS AGO//

"Hahhh!!! Come on move!!! Hah!!!"

I heard the guys who was working out outside, all of them are shirtless and outside, running in circles for their morning routines.

"Julian, good morning."

I heard a voice of a guy, he has a brown hair, I remember him. He is lieutenant Keller.

"You should eat a lot, a kid like you is supposed to be healthy and strong!"

He says with a smile on his face, I just looked at him and after a few seconds, i looked at the food. It looked delicious but, I don't have an energy to eat. I felt like, I missed those guys... Are they okay? Are they still alive? What about my other subordinates who is lower ranked? Are they still okay? What about No. 7?

I stepped aside all of the thoughts that has been bothering me and then just ate the food the lieutenant has gave me. It is really delicious. I hoped that those guys can taste this too.i then looked at lieutenant Keller again, he looks like he have something he wants to say to me.

"Do you want to say something to me?"

He got shocked, he then just scoffs and then gives me a folder. I open those folders and see a picture of a women with black hair and a guy with brown hair. There is also a kid, he has a black hair and brown eyes.

'Joana Aluged, Lee Aluged and Weslee Aluged.....'

They all have the same surname means they are family.

"There is a VIP who got kidnapped by some unknown kidnappers, the one who got kidnapped is part of a famous and popular company, SC."

The lieutenant says as he points at the pictures of the three persons he just showed to me. It seems like this is really a big and serious problem.....

"We do have a possible suspect on the ones who kidnapped them, the first one is the DIGITS."

My eyes got widened but I didn't let the lieutenant sees it, I don't want to tell anyone yet that I used to be a mercenary.

"They are from a mercenary village and camps and some of them was children but, they were trained to kill and to protect others. Although from what I heard, all of the missions they usually took is kidnapping and killing someone so they are one of the groups we suspect. But, they are the least likely to it."

I got breath more easily when I heard that, thank god. Although if they are truly the ones who kidnapped them.....

"The second one is the 'C Entertainment company', there's a lot of rumors that some of the deaths of other celebrities and other popular people and cause by them due to kidnapping and killing them. It is based on the witnesses. They say that they saw a celebrities get kidnapped by masked people and when he decided to follow them through a motorcycle, they stopped at the C Entertainment Company."

Why would they stopped at that company who ordered them? Are they not aware of the issues and rumors that has been spreading about them?

"The third is, the one who is helping the C Entertainment Company. They say it was another Mercenary groups, they are called: The Bandits. they were created just 5 years ago and has a rival but it is not confirmed who it is."

"So, are you telling me that this is the only group that we need to observe for now?"

"Yes, although not the DIGITS because, we might make them our enemy. We are only gonna investigate them if we have a proof that the other two is innocent and has nothing to do with this kidnapping."

The lieutenant explained to me, he also explained to me the other detail and it took 2 whole hours to finished and after that, I comtinue my daily routine. After a few days, I received a news on who is the one who did it and it was really not a shock to me because i already suspected that they are the ones who did it.

"It was really the C Entertainment Company and the bandits who did it. It was proven when they saw all the three hostages getting dragged into the van although they're face was covered, the clothes and other description when they were last seen has matches it. Julian, you are the strongest soldier we have here. We need your helped for this mission."

The lieutenant explained to me with a serious face, who am I to turned this down? They helped me in a lot of things. It is time for me to repay them.

"If you are thinking of repaying us on the things we did for you, don't even think about it. You are the one who saved our lives first so, we are the one who is thankful for you."

He says and then smiles at me, I then looked at the back of him and see three guys I rescued from that day when they were caught by the terrorist, they all looked so happy.

"I want to work alone, lieutenant. If you are gonna send me there, just send me and only me."

"What but--"

I looked at the lieutenant who is hesitating on the condition I gaved him but in the end, he decided not to send me but I also insisted on coming there.

"Lieutenant Keller, there is a lot of people suffering from the lost of the ones they loved and cherished the most. I want them to be happy and lived with their loved ones until they happily passed away on this earth. If there is no one who wants to go there and saved those people whos life at stakes then who?"

I asked lieutenant Keller and he looks at me with sympathy on his eyes, he looks like he really doesn't want to send me in there and just send someone to complete and rescue the hostage.

"Lieutenant, the ones in here have a family. Each one of them, including you. Me, on the other hand, don't have anyone. I don't even know if I have parents at all. If even one of them dies in the battlefield, what are we going to say to their families? I can just saved the hostages on my own and you know it."

I said again and then he looks like he is starting to reconsider his decision on making me not go on the battlefield and rescue the hostages.

"But, what about you? I can send you there but you needed allies in order t--"

"Lieutenant, trust me, I can saved them in my own. I don't want my other friends and subordinates to suffer when a single person can handle a mission on their own. I dont have a family but they have, if they die or something happens to them that can make them quit for life, what are the reactions of their families gonna be? I don't know what is the meaning to have a family but I am sure that if someone important to them dies, it is gonna hurt them so much.

It looks like he still hasn't changed his decisions on letting me leave and go to the battlefield.

"Lieutenant, trust me. I can saved them"

".....sigh..."

He sighed and then looked at me with a smile on his face. Looks like he changed his decisions.

"Just be careful okay? I want you to find your family if you have one."

"Alright."

I says and then run to the based to grabbed all the things I needed. After preparing, the helicopter I was supposed to hopped on got already ready and I just hopped on to it to go to the location where the hostages was supposed to be rescued.
