Authors note I don't own Yugioh or any of its characters. This Fanfic follows a boy with a red eyes deck.

"Hm, looks like Kai is no match for our president." Julia said with a smirk.

"All going according to plan." Said the Chairwomen with her own smirk as the You Show students clenched their fists. They suddenly heard laughter coming from the smoke as everyone snapped their attention towards this. Declan widen his eyes.

"Is it? Is it really going according to your plan?" I said through laughter as the smoke finally cleared.

"What!" shouted Julia.

"But How!" Said the chairwomen. She was expressing pure shock for the first time since these duels started. The You Show students where all surprised, but their faces soon changed to happiness.

"Hahaha" Laughed Sora. "How does this guy still manage to surprise me." Declan's face hardened as he stared directly at me and my now three dragons on the field.

Chapter 8: Final Clash of the Pros! Fight for the school Part 5

"What happened? I destroyed those dragons." Said Declan

"True but you didn't destroy my Red-Eyes Retro Dragon. It has a nice little effect in my hand. When my opponent destroys a level 7 or below red eyes monster, I can summon retro in defence and bring back all the monsters that where destroyed this battle phase back in the same position. Haven't you heard; dragons never truly go extinct." I responded with a smirk.

"I see. Very well then, I'll set one card face down then end my turn then." Said Declan.

"Kai managed to survive!" Shouted Fredrick with his little dance.

"Yeah, but he is in a really bad spot. His opponent has 9000life points while Kai is at 2800. He has to bring something big if he still wants to win this." Said Sora before licking his seventh lollipop of the day.

"Don't worry." Said Yuya with determination as he stared into mine. "Kai has got this. I know he can swing things his way and turn the match around."

"Yuya is right." I said. "This is the time I start getting a little serious Declan, so prepare yourself. I draw!"

"Alright first things first. I'll activate my Darkness Metal Dragon's effect once again to bring back my Red-Eyes Black dragon back from the graveyard." My dragon roared calling out my most precious monster.

"Then I'll call out its alternate form from my hand. By tributing one red-eyes monster I can special summon it. The monster I choose to tribute is Retro Dragon; you served me well. Now arise Red-Eyes Alternative dragon.

My monster looked just like red-eyes black dragon, but it had a reddish glow to it and looked more metallic then its normal counterpart. Both Red-eyes black dragon and red-eyes alternative dragons looked at me, knowing exactly what I was about to do.

"Now that I have two level 7 monsters out on the field, I can bring out my beast. I overlay my two level 7 red eyes dragons to build the overlay network." Everyone looked in shock as my monsters turned into purple energies, flying into the portal above. This time a black dark light exploded from it as everyone looked up like they where seeing hell. "As ferocious as the volcano, the metallic scales on its body does no justice to this dragon's unstoppable aura, arise Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon!"

"Amazing." Was all that Yuya could muster out.

"I had no idea Kai could xyz summon too." Said Yuzu as she couldn't take her eyes off of it. Sora on the other hand seem to look at the dragon in disgust for a second before his face changed back to normal. Unfortunately, no one saw this change… yet.

Julia clenched her fists. Every time she thought she had an idea of this guy's skills to the point that he couldn't surprise her, he goes and does it again. Even the chairwoman was surprised. She had no idea talent like this was fostering in this school. Before all she wanted was the pendulum summoning but now. She couldn't pass up that chance of having someone who knows two different summoning techniques, at her school.

"Declan. You better not lose!" Shouted the chairwoman.

"Yes, Mother."

"Unfortunately, he doesn't have a choice, because I'm not done yet. Allow me to show you a summoning that you guys probably haven't seen yet." This got everyone's attention. 'What else could he have that he is hiding,' was the thought that was going through everyone's minds. Everyone leans forward as to not miss what Kai would say next. "I normal summon Red-Eyes Black flare Dragon." Everyone comically fell over.

"THAT AINT A DIFFERENT SUMMONING TECHNIQUE!" The spectators shouted. However.

"Wait where is the dragon?" Asked Yuya. They could all only see the dragon he had before.

"Hah, your friend must be stupid. He probably forgot he needs two tributes to normal summon it. Hahaha, and with all that talk about a new summoning technique. What a loser!" Laughed Kit.

"I wouldn't be so sure." Said Declan as everyone turned their attention to him. "Look." He pointed at the red-eyes black flare dragon on my field as it seems to start changing. Its wings glowed red with strokes of fire emanating at the tips of it. Red streaks where covering its body as the dragon now looked truly terrifying.

"That's right. I just Gemini summoned it." I said. Everyone looked at me confused.

"Did he just say Gemini summon?" Said Shuzo who seemed familiar with the technique.

"You heard of it dad?" asked Yuzu.

"Yeah, it's a summoning technique that changes a normal monster into an effect monster."

"What? I don't get it."

"Allow me to explain." I said, turning everyone's attention towards me again. "You see my red-eyes black flare dragon was a normal type monster before. With Gemini summon I can normal summon the monster again to turn it to a monster with an effect. This monster is basically my Red-Eyes Black dragon with an a super strong effect."

"I see." Said Declan. "I've heard of this summoning technique but to think I'd actually get to witness it myself."

"Yup and now for my Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragons effect. I use one overlay unit to summon one normal monster from my graveyard. Come back to me, my ace, my soul, my DRAGON! Red-Eyes Black Dragon!"

"And now it's time for battle."

"I attack your Flame King Genghis with Red-eyes Black Dragon! Go Inferno fire blast!" My dragon launched a huge blast of fire from its mouth as it destroyed Declan's flame king on contact.

"And now my Darkness metal dragon will destroy your Gust King Alexandra!" My dragon lunged at the monster as it swiped its claws on it.

"Now for your final king to fall from its throne. Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon attack Wave King Ceasar and end its reign!" A red-hot beam formed in the dragon's mouth before unleashing it at the king, piercing straight through it.

"And now for the finale act of this show." I said, showing off my dueltaining skills. "My Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon shall now attack you directly." The dragon enveloped itself with flames like a phoenix before charging at Declan creating a massive explosion, sending him flying.

"And now with its powerful effect, you take damage equal to its attack points." This shocked everyone.

"What! Again." Said Dipper.

My monster once again charged at Declan, sending him further into the graveyard dirt and crashing into some of the swords sticking out.

"ALRIGHT!" Shouted Allie as she and yuzu hugged each other in excitement. "I knew he could do it."

"Yeah, that was a spectacular performance." Said Yuya

"That kai is something else. Declan has an overwhelming amount of attack points but Kai's monster where even more overwhelming." Said Sora.

Declan grabbed one of the swords and pulled himself up. Looking below him, he saw an action card before grabbing it to save for later.

Declan walked through the smoke that was still there as it was slowly dissipating. It finally cleared to reveal Declan standing there all cooly with his three monsters that where supposed to be destroyed.

"Oh no." Said Yuya

"Now Declan's the one with all his monsters back."

"I don't know how much more shock I can take." Said the poor Gong as he sat down to take a breather. The duel had been quite shocking. Each duellist countering each other with new and surprising combinations and tactics.

"Hahaha," I laughed amused. "Looks like you still got a lot of fight left in you, Declan Akaba."

"Due to my monster effects, I must take 1000 points of damage for each monster I revived at the end of my next turn."

"He is risking life points again?" Asked Fredrick

"Wait but he revived 3 monsters. So, on his next turn-" said Allie

"He will take 3000 points of damage," said Tate, cheering with the other kids.

"Get real. Declan wouldn't have done this without a plan to counter it."

"The boy is correct. I activate a trap card. By using Triple D Human Recourses I can send three Triple D monsters to my deck, then I can recruit two Double D monsters and send them straight to my hand." Declan's eyes seem to sparkle upon seeing those cards.

'He definitely has big plans to use those cards he just added. I should be careful.'

"I place one card face down then end my turn." I said.

"I must say, I am impressed with your skills. The way you command your monsters and use your cards. You seem to really resonate and understand your deck. Makes me wonder where exactly you came from." Declan said raising his glasses up.

"From outside the city." I said smirking.

"Very well, if you won't tell me I'll force it out of you, DRAW!"

"Prepare yourself Kai, as I shall show you something new, I have picked up too. Something that seemed to be exclusive to your friend Yuya… until now." Said Declan.

"What does he mean until now?" Said Yuya.

"No way, don't tell me you mean what I think you mean." I said. The chairwomen smirked, knowing exactly what Declan was about to do.

"Using these cards. D/D Savant Galilei and D/D Savant Kepler, I going to set the pendulum scale."

"No way." Shouted Yuya in shock as even I was surprised by this new development. Declan put his two monsters on opposite ends of the decks as two pillars rose behind him.

"I don't think he is bluffing guys!" Said Gong

"Me neither!" Said Sora

"This isn't good. I wonder what monstrosity he is going to create." I said as the pendulum circle appeared.

"Swing, Pendulum of the soul! Draw an arc of light across the realms and harness the energy of the universe! I pendulum summon and call upon my three monsters to emerge" A large burst of purple energy escaped from the portal revealing three monsters. "The King who rules over destruction and chaos! I summon forth the ultimate overlord of obliteration! D/D/D Doom King Armageddon!" The field erupts with energy as three beams of light descended, materializing into his powerful monsters: a towering, ominous figure wrapped in an aura of destruction. Its body is a combination of metallic armor and fiery energy, giving it a sinister yet regal presence. The monster's armor was jagged and black, adorned with glowing red and gold accents that evoke a hellish, kingly aesthetic. Its eyes burn with a crimson glow, and it wields a massive, menacing sword engulfed in flames. The purple orbs in their cores gave a feeling of death as with one look, I could tell they held unimaginable power.

Staring at the monsters I could feel the raw power it was exuding. It reminded me of a monster with blue eyes. The You Show kids could only stare at the monster dumbfounded and shocked at the fact Declan just pendulum summoned. Yuya clenched his fist. His whole perception of pendulum summoning being his and his only was slowly shattering into pieces. He knew he could never match the power Declan was generating from his pendulum summoning. The Chairwomen who have been smiling for almost the whole match couldn't help but laugh at everyone's faces. 'Yes, this is the true power the LDS institute holds. I feel pleasure knowing how helpless you all feel in front of it.' However, she then heard a laugh. In fact, everyone heard a laugh.

"This is so amazing. Man, Declan I must admit, you're the third person to have made me this focused in a duel. Man, this is great. I can't believe you pendulum summoned like Yuya. I can't wait to see what other surprises you have in store next."

"I'm afraid you won't be here long to find out. I attack your Red-Eyes Flare Metal dragon, your Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon." A blue orb of energy was forming in Declan's monster purple cores that resided inside their armor, growing bigger and bigger until it exploded out splitting into multiple purple beams of destruction. As if hell was raining down, the beams headed towards Kai's monsters.

"Kai." Shouted Yuzu, snapping out of my awe.

"I activate the trap card: Defence Draw. With this the battle damage I take from my Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon is cut down to 0 also I get to draw one card." I quickly drew my card before the massive beams landed on my monsters and sent me flying from the dirt-filled hill I was standing on, crashing multiple times.

"Impressive, you manage to save your self from the most damage you would have taken."

As I got up I noticed an action card on the floor. I picked it up then internally smirked. 'Action cards are sweet' I thought. I slowly walked back to the place I was standing on. Yuya, apparently couldn't hold himself any longer as he banged the wall to get Declan's attention.

"Hey Declan, I got to know, how did you learn pendulum summoning?" Yuya asked. Declan, however, didn't even look at him as he watched me get back in position.

"That's none of your concerns Yuya."

Pleased with the way the battle was turning out, the chairwomen clapped. 'Impressive work Declan, now that you have mastered the pendulum summoning technique the You Show school is finished." 'It is a complete victory, once we added pendulum summoning to the Leo curriculum, I can have You Show raised to the ground."

"How did he master so many techniques. It almost sounds to easy. If you ask me, there is something strange about this Declan character." Said the suspicious Shuzo.

"Don't count me out yet!" I shouted. Everyone looked at me, the worried You Show students, the smirking Leo students along with their chairwomen and the stoic Declan. "I still have life points, and a lot of fight left in me, so I DRAW!"

"First ill use the spell card Monster Reborn to bring back my Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon."

As my dragon came back to life and roared, I continued with my plan. "Then I'll activate the spell card Polymerization to fuse together my Red-Eyes Black Dragon on my field and my Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon from my hand." I clasped my hands as the fusion wheel appeared producing massive amounts of fusion energy. "This is it: Covered in the very volcano he dwells in rises a monster with the power of a meteorite. This is the true harbinger of destruction, that embodies raw power and fiery devastation. SHOW YOURSELF METEOR BLACK COMET DRAGON!" The towering fusion of fire and darkness, its obsidian scales streaked with glowing magma veins that pulse with deadly heat, appeared in front of me. Its jagged wings fanned out like fiery meteors poised to strike, and its molten claws drip with searing energy, ready to annihilate anything in its path.

"So, it's finally here." Said Declan

"Mhm, and here to win me this duel."

"But Wait but why revive Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon? its attack points is weaker then Declan's king Armageddons, Kai." Asked Fredrick

"Not when I activate the action card: Rallying Shout. This powerful spell boosts one of my monster's attack points by 800!" I shouted.

Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon LV7 (ATK 3200/DEF 2000)

"Alright! Now they're both stronger then Declan's monsters." Said Fredrick

"Plus, with black flare's effect he can deal damage equal to its original ATK. Thats 2400 damage to be exact." Said Tate

"That means Kai will win the duel!" Shouted Allie

"Exactly, now I attack your King Armageddon with my Meteor Black Comet Dragon. Go Meteor Claw Strike!" My Monster charged at the monster like a speeding bullet before showing its claws and swiping it, piercing through the monster's armor. As soon it went through Declan's monsters was enveloped in flames before it exploded.

"You just activated my monsters effects!" stated Declan. "When one of my monsters is destroyed by battle, I can target that monster and It gains the attack points that monster. In other words, King Armageddon's gains 3000 attack points." Declan's monsters glowed purple with power as they boosted up.

"6000!" Exclaimed Fredrick

"But that means black flare dragon can't attack for that extra damage." Said Tate sadly.

"Tch, what a waste. Fine then ill activate my Meteor Black Comet Dragons effect. By sending red-eyes monster from my deck to the hand I'll be dealing you half of its attack as damage. The monster I send is my Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning which has 2500 attack points so that's 1250 points of damage." A rock appeared in my dragon's hand as he launched it like a speeding bullet. The rock split in multiple pieces and maneuvered around the Armageddons hitting Declan directly and sending him flying.

"I draw!" said Declan as he got up and drew his card.

Declan looked at his card and sighed. He didn't get the card he wanted to complete his next trio. 'No matter, these next two monsters will be more than enough.'

"Just like I had thought, this is one very entertaining match, probably the toughest I have ever been in. Ever since you arrived and beat one of my students on our turf, I knew I was going to have to master pendulum summoning and take it to the next level, in order to defeat you."

"Take it to the next level?" I asked in confusion.

"You're telling me there is a level above what we already know now? Impossible!" Shouted Yuya.

"Indeed, there is, but don't take my words see for yourself. Allow me to show you the fruits of my training." Said Declan as he got ready. "I use the spell card: Dark Contract with the Swamp King to fuse together my two King Armageddons." His monsters started to swirl together turning into something. The fusion energy being generated was a strong as mine. "This is the evolution of the true king of ultimate destruction and chaos! Arise, D/D/D Super Doom King Purple Armageddon!"

We didn't even have time to process the magnificent creature before us as Declan continued. "I'm afraid I'm not done; I Pendulum summon my two King Armageddons back from my extra deck. Swing, Pendulum of the soul! Draw an arc of light across the realms and harness the energy of the universe! I pendulum summon and call upon my three monsters to emerge" from the pendulum circle his Armageddons unleased themselves out once again.

"Now I overlay my two Armageddons to build the overlay network. Make way for another evolution of the true King who commands the darkness itself! Arise, D/D/D Super Doom King Dark Armageddon!"

The two monsters stand side by side, exuding a terrifying aura of destruction, and it's clear that together, they are an unstoppable force—darkness and devastation incarnate. The air becomes thick with the terrifying presence as the kids themselves took a step back but unable to look away. Their massive forms towered over the battlefield, casting long shadows as their dark wings spread wide overshadowing my Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon. The only Light that seemed to give everyone comfort was my Meteor Black Comet Dragon. Their glowing eyes burn with an intense, fiery light as they started at my dragon. Their weapons crackle with destructive energy, ready to unleash chaos. The sight of them together was enough to make anyone question if they can even survive the storm that's about to hit.

"Declan, you monster." I muttered with a wicked smirk.

"Rest assured, even I haven't yet unlocked the secrets of all these terrifying monsters but that will not save from my onslaught. Now then, let's dance. My Super Doom King Dark Armageddon shall now attack your Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon." My monster stood no chance as a powerful beam struck my dragon.

Declan then jumped off his hill and picked up an action card.

"I activate the action card: High Jump giving my monster a 500 ATK boost. Now my Super Doom King Purple Armageddon, Strike down that Meteor black comet dragon." Declan shouted as another beam of pure destruction pierced my last remaining dragon.

"With that I set one card face down and end my turn."

I got up from my fall as I prepared to draw my next card. 'Come on deck, don't fail me now,' "Draw!"

Everybody could only watch in awe as they stared at the magnificent battle taken place before them. Each one was countering the other with powerful monsters as they slowly wearied each other out.

'Yes!' I thought as I saw my next draw. "I activate the spell card: Card Of Demise. With this I get to draw 5 cards however, at the end of my turn I must discard my entire hand. I drew. 'The gods must have been watching out duel because I drew beautifully' I thought before continuing. "I activate the spell card: Red-Eyes Fusion. This card allows me to fusion summon using monsters from my deck. I fuse together my Dark magician and my Red-Eyes Black Dragon." I clapped my hands together as the red-eyes fusion wheel appeared. "Rise, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon! Let your fiery might scorch the battlefield and crush all who stand in your way!"

"I activate its effect; I can destroy up to two monsters on the field and you take damage equal to their attack. You lose." I stated.

"I think not. Due to my D/D/D Super Doom King Dark Armageddon ability, Pendulum monsters can't be destroyed by battle."

"Very well then, I activate the spell card Return of The Dragon Lords to bring back my Meteor Black Comet Dragon back from the graveyard!" My monster rose up in a fiery explosion roaring as it came to life.

"Then I activate its effect again to deal you damage." 'My last red eyes monster. After this I won't be able to use it again' "The card I choose is Red-Eyes Wyvern which has 1800 attack points, meaning you take 900 points of damage." Once again, A rock appeared in my dragon's hand as he launched it like a speeding bullet. The rock split in multiple pieces and maneuvered around the Armageddons hitting Declan directly and sending him flying.

"Now I set three cards face down and end my turn. Now are you going to take that contract you use earlier or find a way to destroy it?"

"I think you already know the answer. I activate the trap laundering to destroy my contract. I now gain 1000 life points and get to draw a card." Declan drew.

'Not it' he thought. "Now I draw."

"I don't think so. I activate the trap: Draining shield. You monsters attack is negated and I gain 3500 life points."

"I activate the quick play spell: Saga of the dragon emperor. This spell card doubles my monsters attack power. I'll equip this onto Meteor Black Comet Dragon. This match is over."

"7000!" Exclaimed Declan

"Exactly so now I'll be attacking your Super Doom King Purple Armageddon!"

Declan smirked. "First ill activate the trap card D/D/D Contract Change. This card allows me t-"

"Let me stop you right there. I activate Red-Eyes Dark Dragoons effect. By discarding one card in my hand, I can negate your trap card and my monster gains 1000 attack, you can't win!"

Declan Sweat dropped. 'If I activated my monster's effect before my trap I would have surely lost.'

"Fine then, you still won't win because you attacked the monster you should have never crossed. I activate super doom king purple's effect: when a monster attacks it, my monster gains its attack points so that's exactly what it shall be gaining."

"Oh no!" I exclaimed, shocked as I thought this would really end it.

Our monsters clashed as a huge explosion occurred and I took the brunt of it.

I picked myself up, dusted my clothes and sighed.

"I'll attack your Super Doom King Dark Armageddon with Red-Eyes Dark dragoon!"

"I end my turn." I said sadly.

"Looks like that was kai's last attack strategy." Said Sora. He hadn't even taken a lick of lollipop since a few turns ago.

"What does that mean?" Asked Allie.

"It means. Kai might be all duelled out." answered Yuya sadly.

"I admit Kai put up a lovely fight but, in the end, it was always going to be Leo who becomes victorious." Said the chairwomen. However, she still looked shaken from the surprises in the battle and her smirk didn't look convincing.

'Finally' Declan thought when he saw the card he just drew. "Now this is truly the end Kai Akimoto! I'll now pendulum summon!" Declared Declan as he raised his hands. Three monsters came out.

"Now I tune Level 8 Doom King Armageddon and Level 2 D/D Ghost to synchro summon."

"Here it comes."

"Arise, The king who rules over the light! D/D/D Super Doom King Bright Armageddon!"

D/D/D Super Doom King Bright Armageddon LV10 (ATK 3500/DEF 3000)

"Now let's end this, Super Doom King Bright Armageddon attack and destroy Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon." Declan's monster gathered energy in between its palms before letting it burst towards us.

As the attack came, I looked at Red-Eyes as it looked back at, seemingly knowing what I wanted to do. The monster nodded, hardening my resolved as I called out. "I activate the trap card Red-Eyes Burn. Now instead of my taking damage we both take damage equal to dark dragoon's attack points. 3000 to be exact."

"WHA-" started Declan as we where both consumed in the explosion.

Draw!

The duel graveyard field dissipated to reveal Declan and I on the field panting. Our clothes where dirty and a little ripped as we just stared at the ceiling. From the audience stance, everyone could only watch and stare at the two duellists in silence. They still couldn't comprehend what just happened.

Silence reigned in the room, no one daring to open their mouths until they took in everything just happened. Unfortunately, Declan's black suit workers didn't seem to get the memo as they whispered something into the Chairwomen's ear.

"WHAT!" And with that the reign of silence ended. "Why didn't you tell me this earlier!" shouted the chairwomen as she glared at the poor man.

"We didn't want to interrupt the duel." Bowed the man.

"We must tell Declan." Said the chairwomen, calming down as the man just nodded at her.

From my side of the field, I could hear whispers coming from Declan's ear. I assumed it was probably about whatever it was that shook the chairwomen. I lifted my upper body and rested my arms on my leg as Declan got up to leave.

"It seems I've got urgent matters to attend to. Congratulations Kai, as promised we won't touch the You Show School or it's Student. Furthermore, I would like to formally accept you into the Miami duel championships."

I just smirked. "I'll be there." Declan nodded as I watched him leave.

I fell onto my back as laughter filled the room. I stared at the ceiling continuing my laughter as from the corner of my eye, I saw the You Show Students running towards me.

Next Morning

"You want me to what?" I asked as I stared at the bowing pink haired girl in front of me. Yuya was also there looking at Yuzu, dumbfounded.

"I want you to train me." Said Yuzu, still bowing.

Authors note. Whew! The end of the first arc. That was an amazing fight to write, I really enjoyed that. Hope y'all enjoy this too. If there are any mistakes I might have made as long as they are not big nor contribute massively to the match, then lets just chuck it up to anime BS shall we. Also, there were a few mistakes I made in the last chapter which I have now corrected. Declan actually has 9000LP in the last turn of that chapter carrying on to this one and I have put the action card he picked up there too. Read it again if you want.

Kai has now been invited to this interesting tournament by Declan himself. Interesting stuff about someone or something with blue eyes. What did he mean by Declan being the third person to make him duel so hard? What other monsters are out there in this mysterious world of Yugioh Arc V. Also, Yuzu wants training? I wonder if this is character development… I guess we won't know until the next chapter so stay tuned XD!
