Legendary FBI Detective

Chapter 649: Sarls's Entire Plan

In the coach bus, Sarls' words cast a profound silence, as Winslow, Chenier, and Reesi all looked at her with heavy expressions.

Sarls went on as if she saw nothing:

"I never really wanted to be an underworld arms dealer. It was MI6 that forced me into this line of work."

After Hale Rick was captured by Luo An and others, a significant void emerged in the underground arms market, and MI6 immediately decided to seize this market.

But Hale Rick's first son and second daughter harbored some resentment towards MI6, and they all had their own schemes which were hard to control, so MI6 turned to Sarls.

"They 'convinced' me to join the arms industry using my mother."

Sarls spoke emotionlessly:

"I had no way to refuse them."

Chenier and Reesi furrowed their brows while Winslow and Mona looked somewhat upset. Luo An, however, was very calm, finding it all too typical.

After all, the Kingdom of England has always been relentless in this regard, never disappointing anyone.

Sarls continued with an unchanged expression:

"From the first day I entered this line of work, I've been wanting to leave.

But without enough strength, it's absolutely impossible to break free from the control of MI6. That's why I needed to quickly expand my own power, to rapidly accumulate wealth and capital."

So, Sarls aggressively eliminated her rivals in the following period, snatching their shares of the cake. Hale Rick's first son and second daughter, as they stood in her way, were completely eradicated by her.

For her, these men and women were merely "strangers with blood ties," as over the years, she had been reliant solely on her mother.

Reesti, Chenier, and others had different expressions on their faces. Mona was silent for a few seconds before asking:

"Then why did you send someone to plan Luo An's assassination? Was it because you wanted to avenge Hale Rick?

From your words, I haven't felt that you have any deep affection for your own father.

And what about that apology email that was sent to Luo An?"

"It's because she wanted to lure me here."

Luo An's eyes flickered, quickly figuring out the other party's intentions, and answered Mona's question for Sarls:

"To lure me over, and through certain means, allow her to escape MI6's control, right?"

"Exactly!"

Sarls looked at Luo An with bright eyes, smilingly said:

"If you had died in that explosion, it would mean that you were only average in strength, and I would have regarded it as a gift to Hale Rick.

If you didn't die, it would suggest that Group Leader Luo An really is exceptional in abilities, and after finding out it was me behind it all, you would definitely prepare to capture me."

With this mindset that resulted in no loss either way, Sarls devised several plans, waiting for Luo An to leave the federation to capture her, then escape through faked death and other means, throwing the blame onto Luo An, letting MI6 battle it out with Luo An.

Unexpectedly, she indeed found out that Luo An and the others had left the federation, but the way Luo An left and his subsequent preparations were extremely cautious, making her completely lose track of Luo An and others' whereabouts afterwards.

Later, when Leonardo called her for help, Sarls took the opportunity to alter her plan.

Just as Phillips mentioned before, Sarls contacted him, requesting that he "try to kill her for real."

Because of the mole Ian, Sarls was acutely aware of Phillips' rebellious heart. She needed exactly that kind of psychology from Phillips.

After MI6's investigation, Phillips would perfectly appear as the mastermind behind her own death.

One could say Sarls had calculated everything:

Agreeing to Leonardo's deal, she had a justified reason to go to Brasilia;

Allowing Phillips, who was dissatisfied with her, to make his move, casting the blame on him;

Contacting MI6, allowing them to send someone to follow her, then killing the agent afterwards to avenge MI6's deeds over the years while faking her own death and escaping.

At the same time, she let MI6 get involved in the investigation, ultimately pinning everything on Phillips, nailing him with the blame.

But because of Luo An, Sarls' plan ultimately fell through:

Luo An first left the federation by reverse smuggling, then had Mona tear up the identity of the passport she had bought on the way, making it impossible for Sarls to track him down.

Then, by arresting Leonardo, he lured Sarls to Brasilia.

The battlefield was complicated afterward; Luo An concealed a tracking chip while leading everyone to break out. Not only did he catch Phillips and uncover his true identity, but he also found Sarls in disguise.

After the narrative, Sarls's expression was complex, her eyes filled with anger towards Luo An, but she took several deep breaths and quickly suppressed her emotions, saying in a deep voice:

"Group Leader Luo An, I did these things only for freedom, to get away from MI6's control.

So, how about we talk terms?

I have an account with twenty million US Dollars in it; you let me go, and its password is yours."

Luo An laughed and shook his head, ignoring the other conditions Sarls mentioned afterward, and got up to walk towards Michelle, who was driving, and asked:

"How much further?"

Michelle checked the time and replied:

"Five more minutes' drive."

"OK."

Luo An nodded and took out his phone, found a number, and dialed:

"Boss, it's me, Luo An, the mission is a success, the target has been captured.

Additionally, there's something I need help with…"

The bus went straight on, soon arriving at a certain building in the northwest part of Brasilia. This place was one of several affiliated buildings of the X Embassy of the Federation in Brazil; in reality, it was a known CIA office base.

Letting Winslow, Chenier, and others escort Sarls to another room, Luo An walked into the building with Mona.

Deep inside a conference room stood Roland, a CIA agent, next to a meeting table speaking with a middle-aged white man in a suit, with half-black half-white meticulously combed hair and glasses, who appeared to be in his fifties.

Seeing Luo An pushing the door and entering the room, the white man narrowed his eyes and immediately came up with a smile, saying:

"Hello, Group Leader Greenwood."

Luo An shook hands with the man, who then turned his gaze towards Mona behind Luo An, revealing a trace of sentimentality:

"You must be Mona, it's hard to believe how quickly time passes, you've started working at the FBI."

Mona reached out and shook hands with the white man briefly:

"Hello, Uncle Kunier."

The white man with half-black half-white hair was Lewis Kunier, a friend of Mona's father Javari Evans.

Having worked at the CIA for most of his life, neither Mona nor Caroline knew just how many friends Javari Evans really had.

After some cordiality and reflection with Mona, Kunier eventually turned his gaze back to Luo An and said with a smile:

"Javari called me, he sounded very unhappy, he said he really doesn't like you."

Luo An smiled and took a seat with Kunier, casually replying:

"I know, especially after the last time we had a drink together and he didn't outdrink me, he liked me even less."

"Ha ha ha—"

Kunier clapped his hands in laughter, pointing at Luo An and said:

"Great, I like young people like you!

What do you say, interested in working for me? The work here is very free, and extremely passionate, always suitable for young people to join!"

Mona rolled her eyes silently to herself, and Luo An was also somewhat speechless.

Freedom in the CIA's mouth meant long working hours, various locations, and the passion signified a high level of danger.

This kind of talk was no different from the high-end talent output to society; Luo An didn't believe a word of it.

Not dwelling on this topic, Luo An quickly steered the conversation to serious matters, and Kunier said gravely:

"MI6 has asked to meet with you. Also, MI6 has indicated that if Sarls is captured by us, they demand that we transfer her to them immediately."
