Chapter 644: Lure the Enemy and Attack, Breakthrough

Several kilometers east of Brasilia City, in a certain jungle, the sun had not yet risen.

Bang bang bang—

Gunfire and exchanges of fire were heard intermittently as Winslow, Chenier, and others responded to the enemy while proceeding toward the helicopter crash site according to the plan.

Utilizing "Emotional Perception," Luo An led the group swiftly to the left and right, not only circumventing the traps set by the men in AK hoods but also ensuring most of their grenades hit the enemy.

Roland and Leonardo's eyes widened, both shocked and admiring Luo An. On the other hand, the men in AK hoods found it unbelievable; they felt as if they had been completely exposed and were defenseless.

As the number of their teammates visibly decreased, the men in AK hoods simultaneously slowed their advance. Seeing this, Big Beard nearby furrowed his brows:

"A bunch of rubbish!"

He had intended to use a simple mass attack strategy to overwhelm the opposition, since these low-level subordinates were expendable and easily replaced.

But now, these subordinates were overwhelmed with fear by the enemy. Big Beard snorted coldly, pulled out a rifle, and led a few elite subordinates forward, declaring in a deep voice:

"No need to take them alive, kill them all! I only want the bodies!"

"Understood!"

Meanwhile, Luo An and his group successfully gained distance from the men in AK hoods and were now facing another armed group with their guns drawn.

"It's me, Leonardo."

Tapped inconspicuously on the shoulder by Luo An, Leonardo shuddered slightly and stepped out from the crowd, waving his mobile phone and saying:

"Bring Sarls to me."

Considering the explosion incident earlier, Sarls might recognize him, so before today's operation, Luo An had specifically asked Winslow to get some black hoods that only revealed the eyes.

Currently, Luo An and his men were all wearing black hoods, a common disguise in the underworld of this country, just as the group of men in AK hoods earlier had demonstrated, posing as Leonardo's subordinates.

After briefly confirming Leonardo's identity, the fully armed group cleared the way, cautiously guarding against Luo An's group from both sides, and led them deeper into the jungle not far away.

On the other side of the jungle, the gunfire was even louder, with RPGs occasionally seen flying through the air. The intensity of the combat far exceeded the battle Luo An and his group had with the men in AK hoods.

Not long after, Leonardo and Luo An's group encountered Sarls under a crookedly fallen tree.

At that moment, Sarls was nowhere near as neat and clean as she appeared in her pictures; she had various fractures and contusions on her arms and thighs due to being blasted from a helicopter, and her head and cheeks were also wounded, bleeding profusely.

"Hello, Leonardo."

As Sarls glanced at Leonardo and his subordinates, a subtle glint fleeted across her eyes. She raised her hand to wipe the blood from her lips and said coldly:

"I lost big on this deal, you need to pay more."

"No problem!"

Leonardo grinned, indicating that as long as Almeron was dead, everything would belong to him, and Sarls's losses were not an issue.

While Sarls and Leonardo talked, Luo An quietly observed Sarls's subordinates.

Aside from those in distant combat, there were about ten people in the clearing, all well-equipped, primarily men with only Sarls herself and a black female subordinate treating her wounds being women.

Noticing the movements of the black female subordinate treating the wounds, Luo An touched his jacket pocket thoughtfully.

After some brief pleasantries, Sarls asked:

"Leonardo, you've got pursuers behind you, and I have enemies facing me. Both parties have already flanked us. You just mentioned a plan to have them fight each other; how exactly will that work?"

"Simple."

Leonardo smiled, and following the plan Luo An had previously given him, he explained:

"My subordinates will draw the enemies chasing me to flank your enemies.

My men will first sneak attack and kill a few of your enemies from the side, then use grenades to kill a few of my pursuers before withdrawing from the battlefield.

The sun hasn't risen yet, the visibility is poor, and with casualties on both sides, they'll likely end up fighting each other. We'll just wait and deal with the aftermath when they're almost finished."

"Very good."

Hearing that her own subordinates wouldn't have to step forward, Sarls smiled:

"Then let's start."

Leonardo turned to look at Luo An. Luo An, silent, gave Mona and the others a look, then patted Winslow's arm, leading him in the direction of the plan.

Using the "Emotional Perception" in his mind, Luo An easily located the enemies' position, quickly luring the men with AK head coverings to the side of Sarls' enemy position.

He pulled out several grenades and threw them into the battlefield, successfully ambushing and killing several of Sarls' enemies. Taking advantage of the enemies' shock and confusion, Luo An quickly led Winslow to retreat from the battlefield.

Boom!

Just as Luo An and Winslow exited the battlefield, an RPG flew out from the position, hitting where they had just thrown grenades.

The men with AK head coverings who had just rushed up faced severe casualties as they ran into the RPG, not hesitating to immediately return fire.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Bang bang bang—

For a moment, the gunfire and explosions were even more intense than before, with the men in AK head coverings shooting wildly. Sarls' enemies were disadvantaged fighting on two fronts but managed to withstand the pressure and counterattack.

"Good!"

When Luo An and Winslow returned to a clearing deep in the jungle, Sarls immediately stood up, clapping continuously for the two, and said with a smile:

"Well done!"

Luo An didn't speak, silently walking back behind Leonardo with Winslow. Leonardo's eyelids twitched, he swallowed his saliva and smiled at Sarls:

"We can rest for a bit now."

"Indeed."

Looking at the flickering flames in the distance, Sarls with a smile on his face commanded the people beside him:

"Tell the people in front to focus on defense. Don't fight desperately with the enemy. Wait until those people over there finish fighting then we'll see."

"Understood."

Sarls' subordinate immediately ran towards the distance, ready to relay the orders to another group engaged with the enemy.

But not long after this subordinate left, within less than five minutes, the intense sounds of battle from afar gradually decreased and then abruptly disappeared.

The sudden disappearance of the battle sounds was too abrupt, not at all like one side had annihilated the other. Sarls' expression changed slightly:

"What happened?"

Leonardo's expression also changed. Luo An frowned slightly, patting Leonardo's arm to silence him before stepping forward and saying:

"I'm afraid both sides in that conflict have realized something's wrong."

Luo An expressed that neither Sarls' enemies nor the commanders behind the men with AK head coverings were those brainless types from movies. Realizing something was amiss, and that they may have been deceived and used as pawns, the first reaction being to stop fighting or negotiate was only too normal.

Sarls sized up Luo An, only able to see his eyes under the head covering, and asked:

"Who are you?"

"He is my most trusted subordinate."

Mona subtly pushed Leonardo, who immediately stepped forward and laughed:

"I could escape from that old guy, Almeron, all thanks to him."

Sarls stared at Luo An without speaking, when suddenly intense gunfire erupted from afar again.

"Boss!"

One of Sarls' subordinates ran up quickly, urgently saying:

"The two groups opposite have started to join forces to attack us!"

"Fu-k!"

Sarls wasted no more words, looking at Luo An and asked:

"What do we do next?"

"Break out towards the right!"

Luo An, not panicking at all, had already anticipated this possibility. He'd carefully observed the surrounding terrain and enemy distribution when acting with Winslow just before, and spoke gravely:

"The right side is where the encircling enemies are weakest; we can break out from there!"

With the situation urgent, Sarls didn't hesitate, immediately leading and commanding all his men to start breaking out to the right, with Luo An and others moving in sync toward the right direction.
