Legend of Hogwarts (Harry Potter x League of Legends)

Chapter 35: Europeans Took a Lance from Me

Unlike Percy's nerdy vibe and the twins' mischievous antics, Charlie felt like a reliable, leader-type person. Judging by the flying broomstick in his other hand, he had clearly just come back from Quidditch practice.

It was obvious he was obsessed with the sport, Allen was already on the verge of calling for help because since meeting him, the twins' brother hadn't stopped talking about Quidditch!

Finally, after Allen gave a half-serious vow that he definitely loved Quidditch and was dedicating his entire Hogwarts time to it, the Quidditch fanatic finally stopped his preaching, though Allen suspected it was more because they'd reached the dining hall.

But then came the awkward moment, only upon reaching the table did Charlie realize Allen was a small Hufflepuff, not a Gryffindor lion. That meant his long persuasion wasn't about recruiting a teammate, it was basically helping the enemy. That was seriously embarrassing.

Maybe fate was on Allen's side, because after his kill was stolen, he was granted an afternoon off, thanks to Professor Sprout, who asked Filch to let Allen help her for half a day. Then, just as Allen nervously prepared to fertilize some plants, the professor spoke with a voice like music:

"All done, child. There's nothing else here for you to do. Go enjoy the sunshine. I'll be asking Filch to let you help me on weekends this month, just be careful not to let Professor Snape see you. He's still very unhappy you took down so many students."

In truth, Snape wasn't just unhappy, he was extremely unhappy.

After a relaxing afternoon, Allen happily made it through the first few days of the new week. Thanks to Filch's chores, he barely had time to listen to classmates' idle chatter, though each time, he barely had to work and mostly just heard Filch explain the importance of mischief. Unfortunately, that meant missing all the gossip about Professor Sigma, only knowing they were utterly humiliated.

Honor is often recalled, but wounds serve only to remind.

Now even classmates hardly talked about what happened in Defense Against the Dark Arts, only that Sigma was as sharp as ever, judging by their disheveled appearance.

But Allen had no time to fear Professor Sigma.

As mentioned before, Professor Snape was very, very unhappy.

That day, Allen finally recalled the original story's fear of Snape's rule over Hogwarts.

Even the Hufflepuffs were hearing for the first time what the terrifying Snape really was, straight from the Gryffindors.

"Whoa, so you're the famous Allen. Everyone knows you took on an entire house in single combat!"

That rising voice made Allen feel like a snake was watching him, he suddenly remembered that while Snape was loyal to love, first and foremost he was a proud Slytherin!

Slytherins never feared fighting for their honor, and their head, Snape, was no exception.

Under those cold, black eyes, Allen was the first time to lose his grin, at that moment he felt the pressure from Voldemort himself, whom he had always underestimated.

If even Snape, easily killed by Voldemort, could cause him such pressure, what about Voldemort himself?

••┈┈┈┈┈༓┈┈┈┈┈•••

That Potions class was brutal for Allen, he worried about the future and felt Snape's intense pressure. Honestly, the latter was worse, Snape's full-on wrath was unimaginable torture for the soul.

But the pressure faded quickly, thanks to Slytherin classmates' help, with the ambusher dealt with, Allen no longer worried about today's first win, and was one step closer to that basic salary outfit.

What else to worry about? His progress was faster than expected. Maybe someday he'd even crush Voldemort himself.

What was that saying? Can't win? Then level up!

After settling his thoughts, Allen entered Filch's office, and saw what he least wanted.

The twins had been caught again, again!

Two times over the weekend, Monday noon and evening, no incidents Tuesday, but today caught again morning, noon, and now evening.

So… do they treat Filch's office like a check-in room or what?

Hey, young ones, dungeon runs aren't for you guys, be careful not to burn out!

Then, as Allen greeted Filch, he noticed the twins secretly pulling a piece of parchment from among Filch's confiscated items…

Stop! That was supposed to be my stuff to organize today!

Endless lucky breaks, endless unlucky tears…

Allen was fed up, they'd just touched his collection for the first time and grabbed the most expensive artifact!

So, dear Princess Luo Tianyi from another world, if your Imperial Guard suddenly got notified they're the heir of an African tribe chief, would you mind?

So, my beloved Fred and George, can we talk? Can I catch some of that luck?

After finishing the heavy work (or maybe two did, and one relaxed?), the twins started showing off their spoils, the mysterious parchment.

"Look, Allen, what we got!" They proudly spread it out and raised their wands.

"This is definitely something good. I knew it the moment I saw it! Now, secret vanish!"

Nope. The parchment stayed put, not even a sarcastic word.

Allen knew what it really was, but it was hard to explain how he knew. No rush though, let them figure it out first. When he needed it, they wouldn't be stingy. If they could give it to Harry, why not him? Especially since without the Marauder's Map, the twins were still the amazing twin duo.
