KONOHA :THE RISE OF KAITON

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Rolled Up

The next day, Kaiton walked into the classroom, and his striking appearance immediately drew attention from everyone. As he moved through the aisle toward the back row, Nara Luming glanced up curiously and asked, "Kaiton, what happened to you?"

"Ah, beaten by Tsunade," Kaiton replied casually.

"Oh?" Nara Luming's curiosity piqued, and he leaned forward. "Tsunade? Aren't you two good friends? What happened, did you mess with her?"

"Not really," Kaiton replied after a pause, realizing there was no harm in sharing the details. "It's part of a training plan we came up with."

Luming found the explanation interesting and proposed, "Let's go check it out."

Kaiton, not seeing any harm in it, agreed. The two of them continued chatting, and soon Jiraiya and Orochimaru entered the classroom, their own appearances equally eye-catching. Tsunade, who was also one of the key players in the previous day's training incident, arrived late.

Sure enough, as Kaiton had expected, Tsunade was in perfect shape, her body showing no sign of injury despite her rough training. She approached Kaiton with a smile, though there was a strange look in her eyes as she observed him.

"Hey, Kaiton," she said with a grin. "Still here today after all that?" Her gaze flickered to his head, noticing that it looked smaller than before, and she couldn't help but wonder how he'd healed so quickly.

Kaiton, gritting his teeth but resolute, nodded. "I'm still here. I'll continue the training." His tone was firm, betraying his determination.

Despite his usual laid-back attitude, Kaiton never quit once he set his mind to something. This training method was something he had devised himself, and he wasn't about to back down after only one day. It would be too embarrassing to give up now.

"Alright, then," Tsunade said, clearly amused. "We'll see how you hold up."

After their brief exchange, Kaiton made his way outside for the afternoon training session, with Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru following. As they left, the rest of the class, intrigued by the drama of the day before, rose from their seats and followed them, eager to watch.

Kaiton looked at Luming, a little surprised. "Eh, what's going on?"

Setsu, who had been standing next to Luming, scratched his head awkwardly and explained, "Well... Luming told me about your training, and I was curious. So we decided to come watch." His voice held a touch of embarrassment. "Sorry about that."

Kaiton, now realizing that his class had become interested in his unique training routine, shrugged. "Alright, if you want to watch, I suppose there's no harm in it."

The group made its way to the training ground, and soon the whole class gathered around, forming a circle. Everyone eagerly watched as Kaiton and his friends began their drills.

As the training began, the class watched in wide-eyed amazement. Kaiton was training by dodging attacks from Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya—without fighting back. The dodge range was limited, and there was no shelter, meaning the chances of getting hit were much higher. The entire process was bizarre to watch; Kaiton's constant evasion and dodging seemed almost reckless.

Despite the unorthodox approach, Tsunade and Orochimaru were holding nothing back, delivering powerful blows that would have sent any normal ninja reeling. However, their strikes didn't seem to phase Kaiton too much—though his head was getting hit more often than not. Every time, a visible bump or bruise appeared, but he continued with the training as if nothing had happened.

After only a few minutes, Kaiton and Jiraiya both returned, their heads swollen and bruised, much to the amusement of the crowd. Everyone burst out laughing at their injuries.

Among the spectators, Uchiha retsu sneered at the display. "Tch, what a waste of time. I thought they'd have something better, but it's just a bunch of nonsense."

With that, he turned to leave, clearly unimpressed. Hyuga Tsu, although feeling a bit skeptical, watched the training with a frown. He had a gut feeling that the training might be beneficial, but his schedule was already packed with his own training, so he decided to leave without saying anything.

On the other hand, Nara Luming, who had been watching with great interest, leaned toward the two students beside him. "This training is all about improving reaction time. It's supposed to boost speed and agility."

"Sounds promising," one of his friends remarked. "Should we try it?"

"Forget it," Luming replied with a yawn. "I'd rather find a nice sunny spot and take a nap."

"I prefer eating over training," another friend added.

"Honestly," Yamanaka muttered, slapping his forehead in exasperation.

As the session continued, the rest of the students gradually lost interest. Even those who had considered trying the same training after seeing the results hesitated. After all, nobody wanted to walk around with a swollen face or a head full of bumps, especially if the results were uncertain.

But their doubts were soon challenged in the following weeks.

---

Two weeks later, in the combat training class.

"Kaiton, Tsunade, draw!" the teacher announced.

"Orochimaru, Yamanaka 川, Orochimaru wins!"

"Jiraiya, Akamichi , Jiraiya wins!"

The classroom went silent. Every student was shocked, unable to believe their eyes. After just two weeks of intense training, the four of them had dramatically improved. Kaiton, in particular, was unrecognizable. His speed and reaction times had skyrocketed, far surpassing even Tsunade, who was known for her incredible recovery.

Though Tsunade's growth was still impressive, Kaiton had closed the gap in a very short time. His intense training and the sheer volume of physical exercise had rapidly improved his overall strength and agility, putting him ahead of even Jiraiya and Orochimaru in some aspects.

The improvement in reaction speed was particularly evident. Kaiton now had a 70% chance of dodging Tsunade's attacks, which was a huge leap forward. The number of times his head had swollen had dropped significantly, much to his relief.

Uchiha retsu, who had initially mocked the training, was now seething with frustration. "How is this possible? Could their training methods really be that effective?"

His fists clenched, his eyes burning with determination. "I'm not afraid of a little pain!" he muttered under his breath. "I'll show them that I can do it too."

Jingyan wasn't the only one who had a change of heart. Hyuga Tsu, Luming, and several others from the ninja families all decided to give Kaiton's training a try. They couldn't ignore the results anymore—if Kaiton, a civilian ninja, could achieve such improvement, surely they could too.

The class started to fill with a new energy. Everyone had seen the benefits of Kaiton's unique training method, and now they were eager to give it a shot themselves. As the days passed, more and more students joined the training sessions, eager to test their limits and push themselves further.

Soon, every time Kaiton went out to train, a large group of classmates would follow him, copying his movements and learning from his example. The once-small training sessions had now become full-fledged group efforts, with everyone practicing together.

Even Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru seemed to be inspired by the enthusiasm around them. They trained harder than ever, with Jiraiya and Orochimaru regularly seeking advice from Kaiton. It was as if everyone had been swept up in a collective desire to improve.

Kaiton, however, was both amused and overwhelmed by the newfound popularity of his training methods. Everywhere he went, he was followed by a group of eager students, all desperate to improve. It seemed like the entire school had caught the training bug.

With all the new energy, Kaiton couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. His idea had not only improved his own abilities but had inspired an entire class of students to push themselves to new heights. It was a feeling he hadn't expected, but one he couldn't deny.

And so, as the weeks went by, the trend that Kaiton had set continued to grow, reshaping the culture of training at the academy. His influence had reached every corner of the school, and it seemed that the whole student body was now motivated to work harder and aim higher.

The future, it seemed, had become a little brighter for everyone involved.
