".....and in the end, he passed the crown down to his son." I glance at Junior and smile when I see him asleep, I close the book before standing up. I lean over him and gently trail a finger over his black hair.

Just like Romero's

Neither Junior nor Raya inherited my blonde hair or blue eyes. I press a kiss to his forehead before walking over to the bookshelf, I'm about to put the book on it but pause when I see a piece of crumbled paper there and I sigh as I grab it.

Kids and their mess.

I put the book away before checking what's on the paper and frowning when I see Romero's handwriting.

'I feel her eyes on me. Staring, Stalking and Scheming.'

What the hell is that supposed to mean? I glance at the bottom on the page and my heart starts racing when I find the date when Romero died.

The missing page.

I glance at Junior who's sleeping and I hate myself for what I'm about to do, but I need answers. Now.

Gently shaking his shoulder, I say "Rome. Wake up, sweetie"

He stirs awake and his face is in a small glare, the same one Romero always has when he woke up. I hold the paper up "Tell mother where you found this."

He frowns and looks very much confused before saying "Kelly"

The maid.

"Did she give it to you?" I ask

He shakes his head "It fell out of her uniform pocket, I planned on returning it to her but I forgot" I have so many questions but I know he won't have the answers to them. So when his eyes start dropping, I let him fall asleep again before walking out. The guard outside of his room bows "Goodnight, my queen"

"Goodnight"

After double checking that Raya is asleep, I make my way to my bedchamber and pull Hayden inside before closing the door. He raises an eyebrow and licks his lips as he stares at me up and down. I snap my fingers "My eyes are up here"

His lips twitch "Yes, they are"

I hols up the paper "The last page of the diary"

He frowns "Where'd you find it?"

"In Junior's room" I pass it to him "Read it"

After reading it he says "So somebody was watching the king. Apparently a woman"

"Right. And my son says he got it from Kelly"

His eyebrows shot up "Do you think.....?"

"I honestly don't know" I sigh "Why else would she have the last page of the king's diary?"

"There's only one way to find out and that's by talking to her"

"Right" I nod

He clears his throat "I have something to say"
