Description:
The Angler class is the starting line of the Fisher classes. It starts with the fishing rod, improves their baits and lures, for then taking to the sea where they learn to use nets and fight the worst of sea monsters. Anglers are one of the Gatherer-line Special Classes, which has a close relationship with several Artisan Classes. Anglers in particular act as customers to Woodworkers, while they sell their goods to Cooks.
They are well-received and easy to find in port-towns or other cities with bodies of water that contains fish. It is a class often taken by Sailors as a Sub Class, or by elderly people that have some Skill Points left after their retirement.
An Angler obtains the skills [Fishing], the general skill that assists them while fishing, [Hate Lure] that attracts the attention of fishes and other creatures by using a lure, [Gutting] that helps with dismantling the fish, [Create Bait] that assists the Angler when they are creating fish bait, and [Fish Storage] that lets the Angler store up to 10 fish specimens (or their remains) in the skill's storage slot. The number of storage slots is equal to the skill level.
In addition to this, the last skills Angler gives away are [Helmsmanship] and [Naval Combat]. The former improves the Angler's ability to steer a ship while the latter provides various boosts such as balance control while fighting on the deck of a ship in the ocean. These skills are encouraging the Angler to take to the sea so they can fish bigger prey. Not that the monsters in the sea will be fished that easily.
Lily's comment: I like land animals better, so fishing is not my cup of tea...
Ciara's comment: Then don't go and show off those tentacles! Argh, I'm so envious!!
