Description:

[Shadow Lantern] is a skill that is critical to have for those who wish to travel through the Shadow World.

The skill produces a lantern made from solidified shadows with a "fire" inside that swallows all light, turning those that touch the lantern into one of the shadows. Technically, the targets will not become real shadows, but they are treated as such by the World System, skills, and magic spells.

The benefits of being treated as a shadow are to improve certain Shadow attribute skills, grant additional resistance against other Shadow attribute moves, and allows them to stay in the Shadow World while experiencing less MP loss, as the Shadow World recognizes the target as a "shadow" instead of a "person". Other applications may also exist.

The second effect of this skill is to improve one's stealth abilities, or more precisely, improve the abilities that prevent the user from being seen in the light, as the lantern swallows said light. Even so, stealth-type skills of attributes like Illusion and Mirror will still experience a boost in performance, but Shadow attribute skills will be granted the highest increase in their performance.

Finally, the lantern enhances the user's self-recovery abilities in dark areas, such as the Shadow World. It is thanks to a combination of this and the first ability that makes the [Shadow Lantern] seen as invaluable for exploring the Shadow World. Regular dark places such as dark caves will also activate this effect though.

Garami's comment: Hey, this skill is worth so much more for someone like Zaria. Why hasn't she bought it yet? Shadow Dancer just has to have it unlocked in the Skill Shop.

Zaria's comment: ......whoops. Forgot to check...
