Kidnapper system: kidnapped girls all become yanderes

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Boss, this guy is incredibly skilled. We can't compete with him.

After several rounds, the gangsters, who had been so aggressive just moments ago, were quickly taken down by Ye Feng. They now writhed on the ground in pain, groaning as they rolled back and forth.

"That's..."

The leader clutched his machete tightly, gritting his teeth as he roared. His gaze fixed on Ye Feng, who casually whistled while strolling toward him.

"Retreat! It's not worth it!"

Following their boss's command, the gangsters scrambled to their feet and fled the scene. They didn't dare look back, fearing Ye Feng might devour them alive if they hesitated even for a second.

"What a waste of time..."

Ye Feng stuffed his hands into his pockets, watching the retreating figures with a faint smirk. Suddenly, he sensed something behind him. Tilting his body slightly, he reached back just in time to grab Li Mucheng's wrist, stopping the dagger aimed at his back.

"Ah..."

A sharp cry of pain escaped Li Mucheng as Ye Feng twisted her wrist gently but firmly, forcing her to drop the blade.

"Miss Li, girls shouldn't play with knives or guns. It's terribly impolite."

Li Mucheng took a cautious step back, keeping her distance from Ye Feng. "Oh, and you think kidnapping me in broad daylight is polite, Mr. Thief?"

"It's unfortunate we couldn't come to an agreement."

Ye Feng shrugged helplessly and began approaching her again.

"No... Don't come any closer!"

Li Mucheng bent down, reaching for the fallen dagger, but Ye Feng was faster.

"I'm simply taking back what belongs to me. Miss Li, have some self-respect."

Ye Feng held up the dagger, waving it lightly as if to say it was more valuable to him than she was.

"You!"

"By the way, Miss Li, next time you summon reinforcements, try hiding the watch in your pocket. That little red light earlier? It was blindingly obvious."

"..."

Li Mucheng's face turned rigid, as though she had fallen into an icy abyss. Feigning anger, Ye Feng stepped closer to her.

"Don't mess around. My father's men and the police are on their way. You'll face serious consequences!"

"Oh, but that doesn't mean I can't teach you a lesson."

Ye Feng trembled slightly as he gathered his strength. Under Li Mucheng's horrified gaze, he raised his hand and delivered a light tap to her forehead.

Thunk.

"Ah!"

Li Mucheng cried out in pain, crouching down and clutching her forehead with both hands. Tears clung to the corners of her eyes. When she looked up again, Ye Feng had vanished, leaving behind only a half-mask shaped like a fox.

Click.

The lock turned, and Ye Feng stepped into his room.

Creak...

The door let out a harsh groan as it swung open, a testament to the apartment's age.

The air inside carried the scent of decaying wood from the cheap furniture. Ye Feng wrinkled his nose but endured the discomfort as he switched on the living room light.

Creak.

The flickering bulb emitted a faint, yellowish glow, illuminating the room.

The space was modest—barely ten square meters—but functional. Everything a person might need was there, though the cramped quarters left much to be desired.

Sigh...

Ye Feng headed to the bathroom to wash his face. As he looked into the cracked mirror, his reflection stared back at him.

Short, neatly trimmed hair framed his face, with bangs lightly shadowing his deep, mysterious eyes. They were like a pair of black holes, capable of drawing anyone who gazed into them into their infinite depths.

Droplets of water slid down his hair and onto his chin, accentuating his flawless features in the dim light. Even Ye Feng himself was momentarily struck by his own beauty.

"Truly, my charm stat must be off the charts. Even I'm captivated. But why do there have to be so many question marks in my skill description? Are there hidden conditions?"

Ye Feng pondered this for a long time but found no answers. Eventually, he sank onto the worn-out couch, pulling up the system panel to organize his thoughts.

Among the few resources available to him was a mysterious guidebook, whose purpose he had yet to decipher. He also had two current missions: one to get closer to Li Mucheng, the kidnapped heiress, and another to locate and abduct someone named Su Yuxin.

But who on earth was Su Yuxin?

"Let's see..."

Ye Feng pulled out an old smartphone, tapped on the mobile data icon, and opened a browser to search for information on Su Yuxin. Unfortunately, the system offered no specific details about his target—only vague hints when he was near.

Hours later, he had found dozens of people named Su Yuxin. With only fifteen days to complete the mission, this lack of clarity was a major obstacle.

"Forget it."

Ye Feng switched off his phone, stood up, and stumbled toward his bedroom.

"I'm exhausted. Whatever happens, can wait until morning."

Vroom vroom.

The roar of engines echoed through the area. The once-quiet factory was now surrounded by several layers of men in black suits and police officers.

"Miss, are you all right? We were so worried."

A tall man addressed Li Mucheng, who sat in the backseat of a sleek car.

"I'm fine, Afu. Did you catch the criminal?"

The man, named Afu, hesitated upon hearing the icy tone in her voice. He knew that the calmer Li Mucheng seemed, the more dangerous her mood.

"The police haven't apprehended him yet, but rest assured, he won't escape the city."

"Good. Tell the driver to take me home. I'm tired."

"Yes, Miss. Please, be careful on the way."

As the black car slowly exited the narrow alley, Li Mucheng took a deep breath, her gaze falling on the fox mask lying beside her.

"Just wait. I won't let you get away."

With that, she raised a hand to rub her still-aching forehead.

"It hurts so much..."

Ring ring.

The sharp sound of an alarm jolted Ye Feng awake. He reached out to silence it, groaning as he sat up.

"It's about time."

Recalling Li Mucheng's murderous glare from the night before, Ye Feng sighed deeply.

"I'm sorry, Miss Li. Perhaps our paths will cross again. This truly feels like... a peculiar twist of fate."
