Kai Lane: Beginning

The wind caressed his skin, making him feel alive. At the same time, he felt pain. Without any feelings left, he had no hope of moving on to the second step. His body was locking onto that step, and it hurt. But it also reminded him that he was still alive.

His long, blond hair prevented him from looking up at the sky. He was certain that he had fallen somewhere he could no longer find Sirius. He had lost an arm, and his old wounds had not fully healed. He couldn't exert his full strength.

Kai passed through a white cloud and spun in the air. He knew they were flying over land. Looking down, he could see the massive expanse of land, the round shape of the earth, and the waves generated by Ivan's Forbidden Technique crashing onto the distant shore.

Kai spun in the air and concentrated the wind at his feet. The wind immediately changed course and gathered at his feet. This allowed him to block the air pressure and accelerate.

Suddenly, Kai used the wind to propel himself forward. Like a bolt of lightning, he shot through the sky and reached an object in the air.

It was a black jet. It wasn't very big—only about ten meters long. Seven figures were trying to carry it as it fell from the sky. If they could get it working again, they could catch up to the developers' plane and finish their unfinished business.

An unbelievable sense of danger emanated from Kai's body, enveloping the seven hunters and creating an incredibly threatening aura around him. Who was the hunter here?!? Who was the prey?

Suddenly, one of the hunters lunged at Kai at speeds of dozens of kilometers per hour! A golden light glowed from the fingerprint on his thumb and a giant thumb appeared in the sky, falling onto Kai.

Kai looked fearlessly at the giant thumb coming toward him. A smile appeared on his face as he raised his hand.

"Ancient Lightning!"

As the thumb fell toward Kai, a massive black lightning bolt appeared from the void above the clouds. The lightning was incredibly fast and grazed the giant yellow thumb, striking Kai instead.

At that moment, the seven hunters, who didn't understand what Kai was doing, realized the truth. This panicked them for a moment.

The ancient lightning struck both Kai and Jet. While Kai was unaffected by the lightning, Jet was not. Even Jet, who was incredibly sturdy, was being corroded by the poison Kai had unleashed. Jet shattered along with the lightning, revealing a massive hole in its center.

But as soon as he said those words, the smile vanished from Kai's face, replaced by absolute calm. At the same time, he changed direction with the wind.

"I didn't expect you to be so eager for death, you liar."

The next moment, the hunter turned to stone.

The other hunters were shocked by this sudden turn of events, but Kai paid no attention to them.

"United Dragon Silhouette!!!"
