Chapter 214: Chapter 213: Red Panther Advances!

Huojin's breath came in ragged bursts, the weight of exhaustion heavy in his limbs as he faced the Red Panther once again.

Blood trickled down his forehead, the crimson streak staining his vision as the towering, bloodthirsty beast before him snarled, baring its fangs with savage intensity.

Its blood-red fur shimmered like embers in the wind, its eyes glowing with a hunger that sent a cold shiver down Huojin's spine.

His body ached, each movement sending sharp jolts of pain through his muscles, yet he remained standing, refusing to give in to the overwhelming pressure.

The battle had dragged on for what felt like hours, neither side willing to give an inch. But Huojin knew—he was running out of time.

His energy was depleting, and the blood loss from his wounds was taking its toll.

The Red Panther, on the other hand, seemed to grow stronger with every passing second, its bloodlust feeding into its power.

It was as though the creature thrived on the chaos, the destruction, the agony.

Huojin wiped the blood from his brow, gripping his sword tightly. He had to finish this, even if it cost him everything.

With a deafening roar, the Red Panther charged once again, its massive claws tearing through the ground as it lunged toward Huojin with terrifying speed.

Flaming Serpent Cleave! Huojin slashed his sword through the air, his blade erupting with flames as it met the panther's attack head-on.

The fiery strike collided with the beast's claws, sending sparks flying in all directions. The force of the impact shook Huojin to his core, nearly knocking him off balance.

But the Red Panther was relentless. It pressed forward, its claws slashing through the air in rapid succession, each strike more vicious than the last.

Huojin could barely keep up, his sword a blur of steel as he parried and blocked, but it wasn't enough.

The beast's strength was overwhelming, and with each clash, Huojin felt himself weakening.

Suddenly, the panther's claws broke through his defense.

Blood Fang Strike!

With a sickening crunch, the Red Panther's paw connected with Huojin's side, its claws raking across his ribs. Huojin gasped in pain, stumbling back as blood poured from the deep gashes.

The world spun around him, the searing pain making it hard to focus. He clutched his side, feeling the warmth of his own blood soaking through his robes.

His vision blurred, but he couldn't stop now. Not yet.

"I won't… I won't lose," Huojin muttered through gritted teeth. His body screamed in protest, every fiber of his being telling him to give up, to collapse.

But Huojin had faced pressure like this his entire life—the expectations of his sect, the weight of his status. He couldn't let that break him now.

He raised his sword again, his hands trembling from the exertion.

The Red Panther growled, pacing in a circle, its eyes locked onto him with an intensity that sent a fresh wave of dread coursing through his veins.

It was waiting, taunting him, savoring his desperation.

Huojin knew the panther could sense his weakness. It was toying with him, and it infuriated him. He had fought countless battles before, faced stronger opponents, but this felt different.

The Red Panther wasn't just a beast—it was a monster, something twisted and unnatural. Its aura was suffocating, oppressive, like a storm bearing down on him with no sign of relief.

The beast roared, charging again, faster than before. Huojin's eyes widened.

He barely had time to react before the panther was upon him, its massive form crashing into him with brutal force.

Crimson Talon Rend! The panther's claws slashed across his chest, tearing through flesh and bone. Huojin screamed as he was thrown backward, crashing into the ground with a sickening thud.

Pain exploded through his body, and for a moment, he couldn't move.

His vision swam, and the world seemed to fade in and out of focus.

Blood pooled around him, soaking into the earth.

His chest heaved with labored breaths, the agony unbearable. He tried to stand, but his body refused to obey.

The weight of the battle, the injuries, the exhaustion—it was all too much.

"I… can't… lose…" Huojin whispered, his voice barely audible. He forced himself to his feet, using his sword as a crutch to prop himself up.

His vision blurred, the pain in his chest making it hard to breathe, but he couldn't stop. Not yet.

The Red Panther circled him, its eyes gleaming with sadistic satisfaction. It knew he was on the brink of collapse, but it wasn't done yet. The beast wanted to break him completely.

With a snarl, the panther lunged once more, its claws gleaming in the dim light. Huojin raised his sword, preparing to counter, but his movements were slow, sluggish.

The panther's attack was too fast, too powerful.

Hellfire Pounce! The beast slammed into him with the force of a tidal wave, knocking him off his feet. Huojin hit the ground hard, the impact jarring his bones. His sword clattered to the side, just out of reach.

The Red Panther stood over him, its fangs bared, blood dripping from its maw. It growled low, a sound filled with triumph and malice.

Huojin lay there, staring up at the beast, his body wracked with pain. He had given everything, but it wasn't enough. He had lost.

The realization hit him like a dagger to the heart. The weight of failure crushed him, a bitter taste filling his mouth. All his training, all the expectations placed on him—none of it had prepared him for this. He had let everyone down.

The Red Panther lowered its head, growling softly as it prepared to finish him off. Huojin closed his eyes, his chest heaving with ragged breaths.

He had fought so hard, but in the end, it wasn't enough.

"Is this… the end?" he thought bitterly. His mind raced, images of his sect, his comrades, his own ambitions flashing before him.

The weight of expectations—it had driven him, but now it felt like a chain, pulling him down into the depths of despair.

The Red Panther's growl grew louder, and Huojin felt the beast's breath on his face. This was it—the moment of his defeat.

But then, something stirred within him. A flicker of defiance, a spark of determination that refused to be extinguished.

Even as the panther loomed over him, ready to deliver the final blow, Huojin clenched his fists, summoning the last vestiges of his strength.

"I… won't… give up!" he roared, his voice breaking through the pain. His eyes snapped open, filled with a fiery resolve.

Summoning every ounce of his remaining qi, Huojin thrust his hand toward the Red Panther's chest, his palm igniting with a fierce, burning flame. Blazing Heart Strike!

The flames erupted from his hand, crashing into the panther's body with a burst of searing heat. The beast howled in pain, rearing back as the fire engulfed it, its blood-red fur singed and smoking.

But it wasn't enough.

The Red Panther, though wounded, refused to back down. It roared in fury, its eyes blazing with murderous intent. With one final, vicious swipe, it struck Huojin across the chest, sending him flying through the air.

Huojin hit the ground hard, his body limp, his breath shallow. Blood oozed from his wounds, pooling beneath him. His vision darkened, the world fading in and out of focus.

He had lost.

The Red Panther stood victorious, its eyes glowing with savage triumph as it turned and stalked away, leaving Huojin broken and bloodied in its wake.
