Chapter 26: The protagonist killer 2
As quickly as I got back, I decided to take another mission clicking on the list of worlds of protagonist, I could choose.
Like that a full list appear showing me titles of these worlds.
Naruto: the rise of the Demon Lord
The last gojo
I eat people to get stronger
I might be homeless but I'm op as shit
I'm from the dark timeline and I went back in time to cuck my father.
I found a dungeon in my grandfather's basement.
I can copy your talent by just looking at it.
Seeing the endless list of worlds filled with ridiculous, edgy, and sometimes outright absurd titles, I couldn't help but chuckle. Some of these protagonists had no shame.
"I might be homeless, but I'm OP as shit?" Who the hell comes up with this stuff?
Still, I had to make a choice.
After a moment, I tapped on…..

[Kill the Protagonist of "I Can Copy Your Talent by Just Looking at It."]
Target: Kei Haikyuu
World: My Hero Academia
Threat Level: High
World Difficulty: Advanced
Restrictions: None
Rewards: ???
As soon as I selected the mission, I felt the familiar pull of dimensional travel. The void around me twisted, and before I knew it, I was dropping straight into the My Hero Academia world.
I landed on the rooftop of a tall building, the cityscape of Musutafu stretching out beneath me. The sun had barely begun to rise, casting a golden hue over the skyline. From this vantage point, I could see U.A. High School in the distance a place that would undoubtedly be important if this protagonist was anywhere near the main story.
"Kei Haikyuu, huh?" I muttered, opening my system menu.
Pulling up the target's profile, I skimmed through the details.
[Kei Haikyuu - Protagonist]
Quirk: Talent Steal (Allows him to copy any talent or skill just by observing it.)
Current Strength: Mid-tier Pro Hero level
Allies: Various Pro Heroes, U.A. Students, Harem Members Momo Yaoyorozu, Nejire Hado, Rumi Usagiyama
Notable Talents Copied: Enhanced Martial Arts Mastery (Copied from "Iron Fist" Goro), Genius-Level Intelligence (Copied from Dr. Osamu Tenma), Unnatural Reflexes (Copied from "Blinkstrike" Ryuji Saito, a former villain), Stealth Expertise (Copied from "Ghostblade" Kuroi Hoshigaki, a retired assassin), Elemental Manipulation (Partial) (Copied from "Stormbringer" Kaede Tatsumi, a former hero-turned-villain)
"Tch. This guy's already a problem."
If he had been some weakling still developing his abilities, this would've been an easy job. But he had already stolen enough talents to be a real threat. Worse, if he saw me fight, he might be able to copy my skills. That meant I had to take him out before he even knew I existed.
"Time to get to work."
With a flicker of shadows, I disappeared into the city.
— Later —
After making a few purchases, he decided to buy a mana crystal, spending 5,000 credits. A crystal materialized in his hand, and without hesitation, he embedded it into his chest. The moment it merged with his flesh, a surge of energy coursed through his body he could now wield magic.
Next, he bought a sniper rifle from the system store for just 10 credits. A simple but effective tool for what he had planned.
Positioning himself atop a nearby building, he locked onto his target a black-haired teen walking alongside two girls, one with long black hair and the other with striking blue locks. Momo Yaoyorozu and Nejire Hado.
Taking a deep breath, he steadied his aim, channeling his newly acquired mana into the bullets, enhancing their power. With a sharp exhale, he pulled the trigger.
The shot tore through the air with lethal precision, heading straight for his target's skull.
Yet, in a split second almost instinctively the young man dodged.
[WARNING: Target is attempting to analyze your abilities.]
Tch. I couldn't let him get a read on me. The moment I felt that strange pull, I acted darkness engulfed my form, shrouding me from sight as I leaped off the rooftop. The sniper rifle vanished back into my inventory, and in its place, my sword materialized, the blade gleaming with an ominous energy.
Below, Kei was already moving, his expression shifting from shock to something more dangerous. He wasn't running. Instead, he was watching me, analyzing.
"Who the hell are you?" he called out, keeping his distance, blood still dripping from the wound on his cheek and shoulder. His harem girls were tense, but not panicking.
Smart bastard. He knew something was wrong.
I didn't answer. Instead, I vanished into the shadows, reappearing closer, just outside their immediate range. My goal was to kill him not entertain him and I was definitely not gonna let him copy anything useful.
Nejire reacted first, her body glowing as spiraling waves of energy shot toward me. I twisted mid-step, dodging effortlessly, my sword humming as I slashed through the incoming attack, dispersing it.
Momo had already pulled something from her body a small cannon forming from her skin. I saw it glow, the shot charging up, but before she could fire, I flickered again, appearing behind her.
A clean decapitation would've been simple, but I wasn't here for her.
Kei lunged toward me, his body moving with a mix of techniques bits and pieces of fighting styles he'd stolen. I parried his first strike, feeling the force behind it. He was fast. Too fast for someone his age.
But not faster than me.
I twisted, bringing my blade down. He barely dodged, my sword grazing his jacket, slicing fabric. His eyes widened for a fraction of a second he hadn't expected that. Good.
I pressed the attack.
Slashes and counterattacks blurred between us. Every time I struck, he barely managed to evade or block, but I could tell—he wasn't learning my style. He was struggling to copy me, and that meant something was interfering.
[Target's ability is being resisted due to ???]
A grin spread across my face. So that's how it is.
"You're not as broken as you thought," I taunted, my sword crashing against his hastily conjured defense a metal rod Momo had created and thrown his way. It splintered on impact, barely holding against my strength.
Kei gritted his teeth. "What the hell are you?"
"The guy who's going to erase your story."
I shifted my grip, ready to end this, when suddenly.
[WARNING: A strong presence has locked onto your location.]
A sudden wave of pressure filled the air, and I cursed under my breath. Something or someone was coming.
The moment I activated [Magic Eye], my vision shifted. Colors dimmed, details sharpened, and an overlay of information flooded my sight.
A presence no, several were closing in fast.
—Threat Identified—
Name: Toshinori Yagi (All Might)
Threat Level: Extreme
Quirk: One For All
Status: Approaching at high speed
—Threat Identified—
Name: Shouta Aizawa (Eraserhead)
Threat Level: High
Quirk: Erasure
Status: En route
—Threat Identified—
Name: Rumi Usagiyama (Mirko)
Threat Level: Very High
Quirk: Rabbit
Status: En route
—Additional pro heroes detected—
Shit. The cavalry was coming.
I had mere seconds before All Might arrived, and once he did, I'd lose my biggest advantage stealth. Eraserhead was a problem too. If he got a look at me, he'd shut down my powers, and Mirko? She was fast enough to keep me occupied even if I tried to escape.
Kei must've realized this too. His lips curled into a smirk, blood still dripping down his face. "You picked the wrong target," he said. "You're not leaving here alive."
"Funny," I replied, tightening my grip on my sword. "I was just about to say the same thing."
I had two choices.
Kill Kei right now before the pros arrive. Risky, but if I moved fast enough, I could end his life before they could stop me.
Retreat and regroup. Annoying, but if I was going to eliminate him, I needed a better plan one where I didn't have an entire army of heroes breathing down my neck.
I had a split second to decide.
My body surged with mana, raw energy enhancing my speed and strength. My choice was clear I wasn't leaving this world without finishing the job.
Kei must've sensed the shift in my intent because his smirk vanished, replaced with a sharp focus. He moved instinctively, stepping back, but he was too slow.
I was faster.
I blinked forward, my enhanced body tearing through the air as my sword cut a deadly arc toward his throat.
He barely managed to raise his arms, a last-second defense fueled by desperation. Momo and Nejire screamed, but they were too late to stop me.
SLASH!
Blood sprayed into the air. Kei staggered back, clutching his throat, eyes wide in shock. He gasped, trying to speak, but all that came out was a wet gurgle. His hands trembled, struggling to keep his life from spilling out between his fingers.
[Mission Complete: Target Eliminated]
A rush of power flooded my body as Kei's stolen abilities transferred to me. My vision blurred for a second as new information flooded my mind.
Acquired Skills:
[Talent Steal] – Copy the talent of anyone you observe. (Limited to three active talents at a time.)
[Enhanced Reflexes] – Reaction speed is heightened to near-instantaneous levels.
[Genius Intellect] – Improved cognitive processing and problem-solving abilities.
Not bad. Not bad at all.
But I had no time to celebrate.
BOOM!
The ground shattered as a golden blur slammed into the street, sending debris flying in every direction. The sheer force of the landing cracked the pavement beneath him.
All Might had arrived.
His blue eyes locked onto me, and the air itself seemed to vibrate with his sheer presence. "Villain," he growled, his usual smile nowhere in sight. "You've done enough harm today."
Behind him, I could see Mirko and Eraserhead closing in fast.
I exhaled, my body still humming with power. I had finished my mission. There was no point in fighting them.
Before they could react, I activated [Dimensional Travel]. Shadows swirled around me, distorting reality itself as I slipped between worlds.
All Might lunged.
Too slow.
In an instant, the world of My Hero Academia vanished, replaced once again by the endless void.
I was gone.
— Later —
As I floated in the void, I pulled up my system menu, eager to check my updated credit balance.
[Credits Earned: 12,500]
[Total Credits: 17,854]
A satisfied grin spread across my face. With this amount, I could afford something truly useful.
Opening the [System Store], I browsed through the available options until I found something that caught my eye.
[Private Island - Price: 10,000 Credits]
A secluded island in a random world. Acts as a personal hub and safe zone. Can be upgraded over time.
This was exactly what I needed. No more aimlessly drifting through the void between missions I needed a base. Somewhere to, store my loot, and actually live between jobs.
[Purchase Confirmed]
In an instant, my surroundings changed.
The darkness of the void was replaced by the warmth of the sun. I found myself standing on a pristine white beach, the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore. A lush jungle stretched inland, and further in the distance, I spotted a mountain range. The air was fresh, unpolluted, carrying the scent of salt and greenery.
Then, another notification popped up.
[New Hub Established: This will be your spawn point after completing missions.]
I looked around, taking in my new sanctuary. It was isolated, untouched, and completely mine.
Now, it was time to put this place to use.
First things first I needed to explore. Then, I needed to start upgrading.
— Later —
Thankfully, the island came with a castle—nothing grand, just a modest stronghold, but it had everything I needed. Right now, I sat on the throne that came with it, staring at the rewards from my first mission.
Companion Gems: Rhaella Targaryen, Cersei Lannister (Warrior Class), Melisandre
Before I use them, I decide to purchase a perks for 100 credits.
[All-Speak]
Gain the ability to speak all non-magical languages after hearing them.
Then I use my three Gems.
A glow filled the room as the gems dissolved into light, materializing into three distinct figures before me. As they fully formed, my system provided their profiles, detailing their abilities and status.
Rhaella stood with quiet grace, her silver hair cascading over her shoulders, a regal yet subdued presence in the room. Cersei, in contrast, exuded confidence, her piercing green eyes sharp as ever, though this version of her radiated a strength. Melisandre remained an enigma, her crimson robes and intense gaze filled with the same mysterious allure she had in life.
I leaned forward. "Do you remember anything about your previous world?"
They exchanged glances before answering in unison. "Yes."
Interesting.
"Do you remember the name Godwin?"
This time, all three shook their heads. "No," they replied.
I smirked. Final question. "Who do you belong to?"
Without hesitation, they answered as one.
"We are yours and yours alone."
That answer brought a smile to my face.
Things were coming together nicely.
