NOVEL NEXT Chapter 1: CH 1
"What? But, but where am I?" - I looked around, unable to see anything despite having my eyes open.
'Could I have been kidnapped?' - I thought to myself, feeling a bit scared. I don't feel any blindfold on my eyes and it doesn't seem like I'm in a confined space.
"Ethan winters" - Then, while I was trying to find a way out of wherever I was, a loud voice said my name.
"What? Who is it? If you want money, I'm sorry to tell you that you picked the wrong guy" - I quickly spoke, trying to save myself. If this kidnapper wants money then unfortunately for him I'm a poor bastard with no family who can pay my ransom.
"I'm not a kidnapper, Ethan winters. My name is Nohr and I'm what you humans would call a ROB" - the voice introduced itself, leaving me surprised. - "And you have died and have been chosen to go to another world"
"Wait, what? If this is a joke then it's not funny" - I said angrily, not only am I kidnapped now they want me to be a fool.
"It's not a joke, but seeing that you're not going to believe me so easily, then let me show myself" - after saying that, the dark space lit up, revealing a room with a man sitting behind a desk who was looking at me directly.
I'm not going to lie, seeing him gave me a strange feeling that he doesn't seem human, I don't know if those horns and red eyes help.
'They must be fake... Right?' - I thought to myself now feeling unsure if this is a joke or not.
My rational mind couldn't help but doubt the veracity of this, did I really die and now a horned man posing as a ROB wants to send me to another world?
'All that's missing is for him to say he wants me to defeat some demon lord or something...' - I thought sarcastically.
"Unfortunately I don't have much time so I can't wait for you to accept that you've died, so I'll explain why I brought you here." - The man said and then waved his hand and a holographic screen appeared in front of me and it said - "Chosen - Ethan winters"
'...' - my mind went blank as I looked at the holographic screen, I know that Earth's technology is advanced enough for deep immersion simulators to exist, but until now I hadn't seen such a realistic hologram.
"You, Ethan winters, have been chosen to go to another world and no, I don't expect you to defeat some demon king or save the world, you were just lucky enough to be chosen to be sent to another world with a gift that I will choose" - He said as he explained calmly as if he were used to this, well, if he's supposed to be a ROB, as he says then he must be.
But then he continued with a reassuring smile. - "Don't worry, I'll choose something that will make your life easy in the other world"
"..." - I had already accepted that I was going to be sent to another world, really with so much evidence it's very difficult to deny reality for long.
"Now, the gift that will be given to you is... The body and powers of your character from the game "Ascension of the heroes"... What do you say? Isn't that a good gift?" - He said with a smile and then I remembered that game I had played as a teenager.
"Do you want me to show you your character's screen? I recommend it, since the world I'm sending you to doesn't have any system, it will just be a normal magical fantasy world" - He asked and advised.
"Okay?" - I accepted, there wasn't much to say really, I could just start crying for having died without even having a girlfriend or at least sex, but well, I'm going to be sent to another world as my game character.
"Good, here it is" - He said and then with a snap of his fingers the screen changed to show a full-body image of my character with his stats and abilities.
My character's appearance was contrary to what one would think of the name.
With brown skin, along with black eyes and long hair tied in a ponytail. He wears a sleeveless shirt, pants and martial artist-style shoes, sleeveless gloves almost up to his elbows, these have metal parts.

"If you want to read the skill descriptions just think about the skill you want to know, but do it quickly because time is running out." - He said and urged, but I shook my head.
"No, it's okay, I remember the skill descriptions well after reading the names" - I said, I want to get out of here, if this is a joke then I want to end it quickly and if it's true, then I can go cry alone wherever he sends me. Besides, I still remember every skill description after playing with that character for 5 years for nothing.
"... Well, if that's what you want, okay, then I wish you the best in your next life, Ethan winters." - He said and with another snap of his fingers my consciousness faded.
[In another world]
"So it wasn't a joke..." - I said with strange calm as I looked at the trees of what seems to be the forest I'm in.
"So this is the effect of a calm mind... Huh?" - I mumbled, I feel sad and scared, not so much as to panic extremely, but it seems that a calm mind allows me to think calmly about the situation I'm in despite my contrary feelings.
"What I was missing now they made me a monk..." - I sighed, now I have my own weakened version of a gamer's mind that will prevent me from having those kinds of thoughts.
"No, wait, let's see..." - I mumbled after an idea occurred to me. I closed my eyes and started thinking about different obscene things while touching my little brother... Yes, very descriptive and very contrary to what I should actually be doing, but this is of the utmost importance at least for me or any man.
After a while something happened that made me extremely happy, yes, it got up.
"... Fortunately it wasn't as I thought..." - I sighed in relief upon discovering the opposite, I was really more scared than knowing that I had died...
"..." - I couldn't help but stop to remember that detail...
I really didn't know what to think about that, I had died and a being sent me to another world as my game character...
"..." - I sighed as I leaned against the tree I had woken up in, but then when I was moving my hand, I felt like I was hitting something.
Looking, I could see a rather large bag stepping on what looks like a letter.
Grabbing the bag and the letter, I realized that the bag had coins of what looks like bronze, silver, and gold...
"Let's see, I leave you these few coins so you can go peacefully to a nearby town that is in front of where you are looking when you wake up and I also recommend that you practice the skills of each job starting with the low-level ones until you reach the one you are currently at. With your abilities as a high human you shouldn't take long to get used to using each one" - I read the letter and couldn't help but thank the Rob for his help.
"Well, first I have to get a little used to the classes before going to that town he's talking about..." - I mumbled deciding what to do, so I got up and started moving my body.
I'm not going to lie, it felt like I was floating every time I took small jumps, not to mention my strength, I gave the tree I had woken up in a small hit and left a pretty deep mark from my fist.
"Maybe it wasn't so bad having been reborn with this body" - I thought out loud as I looked at the hand I had used to hit the tree.
