Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1105: Three fronts of past

[OP: ]

It was night for the Archipelago.

Heliox estate was calm and silent tonight.

There were no sounds of swords being swung, there were no sounds of magic, the winds were not blowing either, and even though all the lights throughout the estate were on, there was no window open tonight.

"Haaa…"

Everyone was resting inside, thinking back to the past that they did not want to remember or were afraid to remember.

"I am not sure about this, mother."

The elders were awake… Everyone throughout the house could not sleep tonight, however, unlike the rest of them, the elders, the parents and the grandparents, had all gathered here by themselves.

"I don’t think I am ready to face that place yet."

They had to make a choice.

The three people that were going to go with the rest of them… they had to be someone that the rest of them could trust and entrust the children to.

"It is understandable, Nol. We will not force you."

The first person that they were considering, obviously, was the mother of the child that had to live without her beloved son all this time.

However, this was the very place that contained the past that she had wanted to forget for a long time, so she was not ready to accept the truth of her incompetence just yet.

Additionally, she knew going there and seeing her Anna, seeing how she might have changed and seeing how she would change even further would only bring her even more sadness.

She did not want that. She wanted to support her children, however, pathetically, she was simply too weak to help them this time.

"Please… look after them, father."

The golden hammer and someone who technically was the most experienced among them was definitely going to join them. And along with him, his sister-in-law was also going to join them this time around.

"Lastly, how about any of you? We at least need one of you there."

While Nolan was not strong enough to go there, Brain wanted to support his wife this time as well and stay with her here as they wait for their children once again.

The place that they were going to, unlike the past, was safer as they understood it. So at the very least, they were not as worried as they were when Eon was gone all those years ago.

"El? Theo? Either of you?"

While their children were going to join them as well, it was not appropriate for someone as inexperienced and unhelpful as them to take up this important position.

There was only one spot left now, so it was more appropriate for someone better and more experienced than them to join them there.

{ "If we could come there at this short notice we would go there ourselves, you know?" }

Since this matter also concerned Rein, it was only natural to have her family members, the Duke of Atraxia and Duchess on the line as well.

{ "Haaa… if the matter was not so sensitive, we could have sent Elle’s mom or dad as well, but the situation calls for someone who can help the children and also save them in case something happens." }

{ "That is why I suggest Sir Zhen join you two as well." }

The duke was suggesting that the shadow of Heliox, Sir Zhen, should join them on the journey. However, the only problem with this suggestion was the important role of the butler in this place.

"We would have liked that as well… however… it simply is difficult."

They could not send Sir Zhen there since he was divided into many clones that needed his actual body to stay in a certain place.

They would need Sir Zhen’s actual body to be present around them, and since Sir Zhen’s actual body moved all the time, it was possible to maintain all the copies that were present all over the world.

However, if he were to move to the forbidden area where all the connections with the outside were cut off, it would make it impossible for him to maintain the copies that he had here, causing more trouble than it is needed.

{ "I understand. It simply is not possible…" }

Even as a part of their family, the Atraxia patriarch did not know just how many places Heliox had eyes and ears in.

He did not know where the clones of Sir Zhen were present and even if he knew about them, there would be no telling what his reaction might have been.

"Yes, that is why… we only have one option left."

They knew they were out of options, but that was only the case with the better suitable options. In the end, what they needed was not simply someone that was strong and helpful.

If they were talking about a great forest and someone that could guard the children against creatures, then…

"Taika?"

There was someone that they could rely on without having to worry about anything…

*

Now… while this meeting of the elders was going on, Eon and Rein were on the rooftop, simply sitting there and watching the pretty scenery before them.

"..."

They were not talking. They had not talked about anything ever since they came back, and ever since their talk with their family was over, they were just sitting there with their hands intertwined with one another.

-Bu-dum.

They could tell the other was anxious about various reasons, they could tell there was something going on with the other, they could tell the other wanted rest and healing, but at the same time, they also knew there was little that would help them in a way that was more suitable for them.

In this situation, with their unique divine powers unlocked, there was nothing they could do to escape their fate.

They were going to succeed their legacies just by living in this world, and they would have to live no matter what since without that, they would not be able to be together…

-Swiiiiiiiish…

She knew just how important Anna was for her, and he knew just how important he was to her.

Both would take the world on their heads if it was because of the one that they loved so much, but she knew she would still not be able to beat the love that he had for his sister…

"..."

He loved her more than he loved the love of his life, and there was nothing that would change that. She knew he would choose Anna over her every time, and he knew she would understand his selfishness.

-Swiiiiiiiish…

It wasn’t about the connection that they had or the world or anything else when it came to Anna. She was his responsibility and not even this world was going to take that away from him.

*

The two were not going to talk, there was nothing to talk even though they had a million things to talk about with one another.

With Anna in a place that, though safe, was not exactly the best place without a proper guide for a child in her situation, they needed to get there as soon as they could.

The night that they were giving to their parents was simply a formality. And even though they did not have much time left, they waited.

They waited for their parents and elders to come to a conclusion. They waited and gave their siblings and friends some time to prepare themselves. And they took some time for themselves, to look back at their journey until now, and the life that they had lived before that.

"Mr. Rice, are you sure it’s a good idea to just sit here? Shouldn’t we look around the place and see if there is something helpful… maybe the orb that big brother used to use?"

[No! Please stay here for the time being. Your recovery is still not finished. And we do not know what may happen if we move carelessly.]

Even though Mr. Rice knew a lot about this place, it was programmed to not believe the information coded inside of him without thinking. Discover hidden content at NovelBin.Côm

They could not move and they should not move in the situation that they were in. staying in this place for at least a few hours was a better option.

[If you are hungry or need water, I have it with me! Please just say the word, I even have your favourite tea!]

Mr. Rice had food and water, even potions and medicines. Artifacts and all the things that he might need to help her in any situation.

Not only was it packed with all kinds of instruction manuals, it was also practically made with artefacts and relics.

It was a one of a kind being, and Anna could not help her emotions right now.

"Thanks, Mr. Rice."

She had always thought of him as a friend, but right now, he was helping her more than she knew she could be helped.

At the end of the day, she knew she was still young and weak compared to all her amazing brothers and sisters.

There was a lot that she needed to learn, and… somehow, now that she had this new power inside of her, she knew she was not far from taking her first step towards the realm that she had only ever felt through Their emotions.

"Can I have a cookie then?"

[Absolutely~!]

She needed to stay put until she completely recovered. And after that perhaps she will look around the place.

The place looked too big anyway, so she knew she would need a few days just to look around this floor.
