Chapter 1006: Who spilled the Tea?
[Eon's POV: ]
"Lucifer, Uriel. I have some good intel~."
Not even a minute after we all entered the kitchen, Tia put up a sound barrier that obviously wasn't going to be very effective, with Carla and Zoe present there, she started giggling again.
"Of course you do. Look at that face… you're blooming, Little miss."
"Hehehe."
She had some kind of good intel on something, most definitely something unrelated academics and definitely something related to stuff that shouldn't be talked about.
'Just looking at her face, I can tell this was about some kind of Romantic affair of someone… or something related to that.'
She only liked a few kind of things in this world, and Tea, and I mean that in both contexts, was something she adored.
"Spill the tea then, don't keep it to yourself."
The others were waiting for us outside so I first started preparing the food, taking out utensils and preparing the water-."
"Hehe, it's about your class teacher, Sir Jezbel!"
-Tannnnng!
The metal pot fell from my hand.
"Hmm?"
"What… what did you just say, Anna?"
Did she just say she had something related to Sir Jaz? And this was definitely going to be something related to some kind of relationship gossip so… how the hell does she know about it?
"You're surprised, right~? I knew you would be surprised~!"
He was our class teacher as well as someone we were pretty close with, it wasn't news anymore, everyone around the academy knew how the two of us were close with many teachers.
And we already knew about his secret relationship with Ivy… so, what does Tia know? And, how much does she know in the first place?
"Hehe, this is going to be one hell of a fun one, you two. So listen up~!"
The three of us were the only ones here. Chry, Eula, and Bell had agreed to help us this time as well.
'Tia technically chose only the ones that she knew wouldn't be a problem.
Hearing this news wouldn't impact them as much as it would impact us, so we were the only ones who actually react to this Tea… to this Secret news related to our class teacher.
"So."
I picked up the pot and very naturally started listening to her closely while showing that I had little intent in it.
However, just like how Rein was gritting her teeth thinking about this, We were also told inserting just How the hell did this get out!
It wasn't even a few days ago that they had confronted Ivy in that room and saw their children, the bloody product of their relationship!
"It happened last night when I was wandering around the academy like I usually do."
She herself was the source of this information, from the looks of it, so this was definitely as credible as it could get.
"It was late, it was dark, today is also the weekend so there weren't any students in the academy garden.
It was quite peaceful since it was also the night of the new moon."
There usually aren't many creatures in the garden area when it's the night of the new moon. It's a natural thing that everyone who has been in the academy even for a little while would know about.
It's also advised that the students don't go out on the nights of the new moon, but Tia practically lived outside.
'She was sometimes in the outskirts while sometimes, she was playing around with her familiar wolf in the garden.'
Being a fairy, a night wasn't the same as it is for us. It was pretty different.
She only needed two to three hours of sleep and that would be equivalent to nine to ten human hours of sleep.
'The sleep that the fairies have is also pretty complicated. Their sleep cycle, the State that they naturally access when sleeping, even the time they spend sleeping in a certain place.'
All those factors play that great of a role in their sleep cycle. For humans, or for the other intelligent humanoid races, the same is never the case.
Anyway…
"I was just taking a stroll around the academy, once again trying to find the famous ghost that everyone is lately worried about, and then, at that time, in the middle of the night, with no teacher present, I saw someone."
The way she was saying it was making Rein's heart run wild with not just thrill and excitement, but also with a guilty pleasure.
She was enjoying this, she liked how our teacher was going to get busted and then his relationship with that person Might break.
She didn't like him even though the one that Ivy had disrespected was me and not her, but that's just how things are I guess?
"A person wearing the same stylish black coat and suit and the same pretty and elegant jewellery that one person is famous for among the teachers.
The same person that is almost floating most of the time instead of walking on his two feet."
It was obvious that she was talking about Sir Jaz. The description obviously indicated towards a single person.
"So…"
Who spilled the tea?
It's a famous question that many people who have their secrets revealed by an anonymous person in their very surroundings asks to the people around them.
And, many times, mostly among friends, it is a common thing that the one who has revealed the secrets is ultimately found out.
"He was going around somewhere at that late night."
'But, I don't think sir Jaz will ask us something like that if he finds out that someone knows about Them.'
Miss Ivy will directly come for our throats when we are sleeping and we will have to deal with her even though we wanted to support her.
"I get it that he's a vampire and all, but even they sleep at night, no? I simply got curious about what he was doing and secretly followed him." She paused with a dramatic expression.
And, at the same time, I looked at Rein…
'Miss Ivy was a brave person who was trying to be the first one to take a step forward towards their relationship. And it was an admirable thing.'
'Why're you telling that to me, man? I know that!'
She had apologised to us for what she had done in the past, and we also apologised to her the last time.
We even said we wouldn't say anything about all that to anyone, but if the relationship between her and Sir Jaz is revealed, I don't think the outcome would be anything good.
At least for us, it's going to be very, very complicated.
"You know what?! He was being secretive! I even saw a woman-."
"Shuuuu. Be quiet. Don't scream, damn it." Rein showed that she was annoyed, but if Zoe or Carla was here, perhaps even Quinn, they would have figured out that there was something wrong with this.
"Hehe, hey~. I'm telling you some premium stuff~. Praise me or something, hehe. Don't be shy~. I know you liked what I just spilled~."
Thankfully for us, it didn't seem like she had any idea who the person he was meeting might be.
"Hehe. Who would have thought a teacher is meeting up with someone in the second floor study room~? It's almost like he was meeting with a student~. Hehe. Could it really be a student? One of us may be~!
How exciting would that be!"
"The… second floor?"
"You saw him on the second floor, Tia? How did you see someone on the second floor when you were flying outside?"
"Hey! I'm not lying or anything! I have my ways, alright?!"
First interesting thing here was the fact that she saw him on the second floor.
The second thing that caught our attention, was the fact that she saw him when she was outside.
[{ "She could have used the Realm dive." }]
[{ "I'm thinking more like focused see through with the use of her realm jumping skill." }]
There was a special technique among the fairies that I have only ever heard about.
A simple technique where the fairies are able to apply their realm jumping skill, something they are born with, to various other senses to do something that even a skilled Jumper like me wouldn't be able to achieve.
'It was a race specific technique so there was no way for me to use it either.'
Something similar to an Elf's mana perception, or a dwarf's natural strength. Or perhaps human tenacity. All races had their racial advantages.
Perhaps, this was the same case.
"I'm only telling you this first because I know you're close with him.
And I can tell you know something about this as well, right~? Why don't you tell me about it-."
"What do you want to keep your mouth shut about this, Tia?"
She didn't come into this kitchen just because she wanted to tell us about this.
"Oho? No beating around the bushes, huh?"
She wanted something.
'She had something that was, as she had figured out just now, important to us.'
She also had an advantage here, and…
'As free, childish, and innocent this red haired fairy looked, she was equally none of those things.'
Explore hidden tales at empire
She was smart, highly competitive, and more than anything, she was mischievous.
"It's nothing much, actually…"
She could have waited more and leveraged this information to get more out of this. Exams were coming so she could have obtained much more than what our other friends were getting from us.
But, she was using it right now.
'She must have something important she needed.'
Without that, I doubt this smart little friend of ours would waste such a good bargaining chip.
