Is It Wrong to Abusing Cartoon Tropes in Dungeon?

Chapter 69: 69 Poison Buff!

Stepping out from the Guild's main entrance, Altair looked at the package in his hands, feeling quite satisfied.

Although the number of magic stones he obtained wasn't as many as he used to farm, their quality was much better than those from the low-level monsters he had previously defeated. The result was that the value of these magic stones was no less than the total value of all the magic stones he had gathered from the many monsters before.

From entering the dungeon to coming out, Altair had only defeated a single monster; the rest was just him standing by, holding up a dialogue board, and he ended up earning this much money, which alleviated the financial pressure on his Familia.

'Bete-san, you truly are a great wolf!'

As for leveling up experience, there's no rush; time is on his side!

After tossing the bag of valis into his 4D Pocket, Altair glanced at the sun and confirmed that he had plenty of time before dinner. He then leisurely began walking back to Avalon.

As he walked, he started to ponder the two new skills he had acquired today.

[See, I Told You!]

[Professional Commentator.]

One skill rendered him unable to speak, but his hand speed and brain would enter a state similar to bullet time. At first, it was a bit disorienting, but after continuously applying buffs to Bete, Altair grew accustomed to that state.

In simple terms, it was like when you're playing a game and about to be attacked, but you suddenly pause and pull up the menu screen. The monster's movements would slow to a crawl, allowing you to switch weapons or change items. At that moment, you can do a lot of things.

While this skill couldn't allow Altair to switch weapons, it enabled him to move both hands freely within seconds. As long as he could think of something, his hands could execute it!

The only drawback was that when activating this skill, he couldn't speak. To communicate, he had to use a dialogue board, which, by the way, was indestructible. This tool could block many attacks in crucial moments.

The second skill was summed up in two words; Poison Buff! In battles he wasn't participating in, he could deliver Poison Buff to those involved!

If he remembered correctly, this skill should have come from a certain game commentator in his previous world; whatever he commented on in that game would surely become true but the opposite! If he said Team A would absolutely win, then they would lose! Even if they have a big advantage!

Altair still vividly remembered the commentator's signature move; he would hit his shoulder with his right hand and firmly point forward while saying, "Team A will win! I said so!"

That single finger pointed at someone meant they would lose! It was terrifying!

Also, it's worth mentioning that while the second skill is active, he could choose not to activate it if he didn't want to. The first skill is passive, but unlike the Wolf Wisdom and Tom's Body, it isn't permanently active. This passive ability only triggers when entering combat.

Since he had already mentally stopped using the second skill after leaving the dungeon, he could still speak normally. Thus, he didn't need to worry about being permanently mute. Altair also thought of another use for this passive ability; danger warning.

When he actively or passively entered combat, he wouldn't be able to speak, and a dialogue board would appear in his left hand. This meant that if he suddenly saw a dialogue board appear outside the dungeon, it signified that an enemy was trying to attack him... essentially a warning!

In summary, today's haul was quite substantial; two skills and a bag full of money, all for just a little walking time.

Feeling joyous, Altair returned to his family residence and pushed open the villa's door, hearing Hestia and Saeko's voices.

"Saeko-chan, how do we handle this?"

"Hestia-sama, we need to add a little sugar and mix it evenly."

"Oh, okay!"

The voices were coming from the kitchen, so they were both in there now?

Altair crossed his arms and walked to the kitchen door, leaning in to take a peek. He discovered that Saeko and Hestia were cooking. Based on the steps they were currently taking, it seemed they were making a cake, as there were round molds on the table nearby... definitely for making cake. However, Altair didn't say anything and pretended not to know, slowly backing away to the entrance.

"I'm back!"

"That's Altair-kun's voice; Altair-kun is back."

Upon hearing Altair's voice, Hestia joyfully dashed out of the kitchen, arms covered in flour, and leaped towards him.

Altair opened his arms wide and caught Hestia as she lunged at him.

"Altair-kun, welcome back!"

"Yeah, Hestia, I'm back."

Embracing Hestia, who hung onto him, Altair's face was filled with happiness.

"Altair-kun, welcome back."

Saeko also followed Hestia out of the kitchen but didn't leap towards him; instead, she stood at the kitchen entrance, smiling at Altair.

"Saeko, I'm back."

"What are you two making? Are you preparing dinner? I smell something sweet."

"Hehe, Saeko-chan and I are making a cake!"

Hestia didn't mind that her hands were covered in flour and leaned against Altair, wrapping her arms around his neck. The flour from her hands smeared onto his collar, but neither Hestia nor Altair cared at all.

"Although I celebrated a bit with Hephaestus and the others, I feel it wasn't enough. We need to celebrate ourselves, so Saeko-chan suggested making a cake from her world."

"Really? Let me see how you're doing it. Count me in!"

"Okay, Altair-kun, hurry into the kitchen! We're almost done mixing!"

Wrapping her arms around Altair's neck, Hestia urged him to enter the kitchen.

"Okay, coming right up!"

Altair turned around to close the door and then carried Hestia toward the kitchen, while Saeko smiled and followed closely by Altair's side. The three of them stepped into the kitchen together.

Holding Hestia, walking alongside Saeko, and with Hestia happily chatting in Altair's arms, what a blissful little family they were!
