Chapter 89 New Power Template (Part 2)
As soon as Juggernaut appeared in this area, the New York Police, fearing this incredibly destructive brute, had already evacuated the nearby crowds.
This, however, reduced some of their inhibitions.
Swish!
The ground shook. Wanda waved her hand, manipulating Chaos Magic, and pulled a department store building from the ground, lifting it a hundred meters high, then heavily smashing it towards the roaring Juggernaut.
Juggernaut seemed to not know what dodging was, leaping up with a roar.
Rumble!
The entire New York felt a distinct tremor.
An entire department store building smashed down on his head, sending Juggernaut straight into the ground. He shook his head and got up, still acting as if nothing had happened.
He casually grabbed a section of wall and swung it around to smash.
Russell and Wanda flashed aside to avoid it, but then saw Juggernaut take the opportunity to leap up and attack. This big guy sometimes still knew the ways of street fighting.
But unfortunately, it was useless.
Sizzle!
Russell's Cyclops eyes shot out fiercely. Juggernaut had only jumped a few dozen meters when he was blasted back to the ground by the laser.
Veins on his forehead slightly tensed, Russell went all out, trying to break Juggernaut's defense. Juggernaut cried out in pain, engulfed by the laser, and was blasted deep into the ground.
After obtaining the Homelander panel, he had almost never used any other physical strength templates. The Soldier Boy template was already a bit outdated.
"Juggernaut's power comes from the Crimson God's bestowal. I wonder if I can gain the same power if I defeat him."
Juggernaut's template seemed like it could be his new power-type form!
Hot White mist almost enveloped the entire street.
Russell stopped when his eyes felt a slight stinging pain.
"Refreshing, what a refreshing hot bath!"
The entire street was almost cut off by a lava pool. Juggernaut swayed as he stood up in the magma, even mockingly splashing some magma on himself, pretending to be bathing.
However, the scorched skin on his chest, faintly revealing fresh red flesh wounds, still gave him away.
"Too bad, your body isn't as tough as your mouth!"
Russell rubbed his uncomfortable eyes, letting out a cold snort.
"This is just the beginning. When I catch you, you'll know what pain is." Juggernaut tore off his shattered shoulder guard, revealing the bulging muscles underneath.
"Dare to come down and fight me, little guy!"
"Afraid of you?"
Russell swooped down, throwing a punch.
The two fought fiercely on the street, like two incredibly destructive beasts. Wherever they passed, the ground cracked and houses collapsed.
Bang!
Juggernaut delivered a headbutt directly to Russell's jaw, and Russell tasted iron in his mouth.
He casually wiped away the blood from the corner of his mouth, and the next second, an uppercut landed squarely on Juggernaut's jaw.
"If you can't fly, no matter how tough you are, you're just a punching bag."
The air blast exploded, sending Juggernaut a thousand meters into the sky with one punch. Russell shot up, breaking the sound barrier to catch up, and landed another punch on Juggernaut's face.
"Damn it!"
Juggernaut was punched towards the outskirts of New York.
Bang bang!
Russell struck continuously, making Juggernaut accelerate like a hit baseball.
Juggernaut's eyes were almost spitting Fire. He wanted to grab Russell and crush his head, but his speed was no match for Russell's, especially now in mid-air. He couldn't catch him no matter what, only rage impotently.
"Even an old lady is more agile than you!"
Russell struck from all directions, finally delivering a heavy finishing punch.
Juggernaut, like a launched missile, suddenly accelerated, friction with the air creating Fire, and directly smashed through a mountain peak.
Bang!
The air blast exploded, sweeping for miles. The forest was like grass in a hurricane, trees bent almost touching the ground.
The mountain peak on the outskirts of New York was like a sand pile that had been smashed through, kicking up 'dust,' each particle of dust being a rock comparable in size to a house, thrown high into the sky.
On the outskirts of New York, the ancient stone walls of X-Mansion suddenly trembled slightly.
Storm, who was teaching history, had her chalk 'snap' into two pieces, the chalk dust slowly drifting in the sunlight.
The students in the classroom looked at each other, and suddenly—
Boom!!!
The entire building shook violently, and textbooks on the shelves clattered to the floor.
Kitty Pryde instinctively grabbed Colossus next to her, and Colossus's arm had instinctively coated itself with a metallic sheen.
"Earthquake?" Rogue had just spoken when a deafening explosion came from outside the window.
Everyone turned to look out the window—the distant Bear Mountain, where they often went for picnics, was now being pierced by a crimson meteor.
The massive mountain body was like it had been chiseled through by a God's fist, rocks and trees thrown hundreds of meters into the sky, forming a terrifying fountain of dust.
"That's not a meteor." Jean Grey closed her eyes and sensed, "It's Professor's brother, Juggernaut."
"That bastard who caused trouble at the academy last time and tore down half the old castle? All my prized whiskey was ruined—I'm going to settle the score with him!"
Wolverine glared out the window, Adamantium claws already extended from his fingers, gritting his teeth.
Professor X's wheelchair glided silently to the window. His long fingers pressed against his temples. "It's not just him," Charles's voice was uncharacteristically tense, "there's also… Infinitoid."
Before he finished speaking, a White-caped figure streaked across the sky. Russell hovered above the collapsing mountain, about to activate his X-ray vision to scan the mountain's ruins.
Suddenly, the mountain's rubble pile exploded. Juggernaut roared and leaped up, an uppercut striking Russell higher into the sky—
The Impact spread to the academy, and the glass windows rattled.
Several lower-grade students huddled under their desks in fear, while Rogue was already excited: "So cool! Should we go help?"
Storm's eyes were already glowing White, ready for battle: "Charles? They won't fight their way over here and destroy the school, will they?"
"Scarlet Witch is here too."
A red meteor wrapped in energy followed closely from the horizon. Professor X's expression was unusually grave, "They seem to be dealing with Cain together."
Few people knew that Juggernaut was Professor X's half-brother. A long time ago, Cain Marko's father married Professor X's mother for the wealth of Professor X's family when Professor X was young.
"All students remain in the academy," Professor X finally ordered, "Jean, Logan, Ororo, come with me. Perhaps this is a good opportunity for us to have a good talk with that young man of infinite potential."
"He and Magneto recently captured an island nation and claimed it for themselves. I don't know what they plan to do."
Juggernaut flew high into the sky, only to be struck back to the ground at an even faster speed.
Bear Mountain—the place that held countless picnic memories for X-Mansion students—was now being destroyed like a toy building in the battle between two super monsters.
"Like a rock in a latrine, both smelly and hard."
Russell was getting a little annoyed.
In the deep crater on the ground, like a meteorite Impact, Juggernaut had some minor injuries on his face, but stood up again, not seriously hurt.
Although he was confident he could keep fighting and eventually deal with Juggernaut thanks to his immortality, he didn't know how much time it would take.
"Do you want me to join in?"
Wanda lightly saw the two men competing in their fight and hadn't intervened. She knew men always had a strange sense of honor and desire to win.
"No need, I'll end this battle immediately." Russell gazed into the distance, extending his hand as if searching and sensing something.
"What are you looking at, little guy? I'm right here, did I knock your head crooked?!"
After being severely slammed back to the ground, and mid-fight, Russell suddenly stopped fighting and looked into the distance. Juggernaut roared in anger.
"Don't worry, you'll get what's coming to you soon!"
Russell turned back, a cold smile on his face.
At X-Mansion, Wolverine, who was about to board the jet, suddenly paused, his body stiff.
"What's wrong, why aren't you moving, Logan?" Rogue, who was behind him and blocked, was startled.
"There's… a damn…"
His metal skeleton was caught by a powerful magnetic field, unable to move. This familiar feeling… Wolverine had just let out a curse when the next second, he abruptly flew towards the horizon, streaking across the sky like a meteor.
"When did Logan learn to fly?"
Colossus was stunned.
"I'm afraid it's not him."
Storm's expression was strange as she watched Wolverine disappear into the sky.
"I'll get what's coming to me, what a joke! After fighting for so long, you've only tickled me…"
Juggernaut sneered.
Suddenly, he heard a whooshing sound.
From the horizon, Wolverine, looking like a reluctant young woman, his body rigid, was being thrown like a javelin.
His raised hands were forced to extend his Adamantium claws, glinting coldly in the sunlight, shooting uncontrollably straight towards Juggernaut.
"Hmm?"
Juggernaut's eyes widened in horror.
Adamantium, the only thing on Earth that could break his defense.
"My weapon has arrived. Why aren't you saying anything more?" Russell chuckled.
