Invincible: The Greatest Template System

Chapter 87: Juggernaut Appears

"Russell, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, that alien came again. He's flying very fast this time, rushing into the Solar System. It seems he has something urgent."

"Alien?"

Mark flinched, looking a bit traumatized, his expression tense.

"Could it be that the alien from last time left to scout Earth's defenses, and this time he brought more people?"

"Probably not. We'll know when we go see."

Allen's visit this time should be a friendly reminder that there are Viltrumite traces on Earth, Russell said.

The two then flew out of Earth.

"Thank goodness, you're still alive? I wasn't too late!"

Allen, like an orange stream of light, flew from the depths of the Universe and stopped in a hurry.

"I must warn you."

"Warn?" Mark wondered.

"When I returned to the Interstellar Alliance, I told them I came to Earth, which is here.

They all went crazy. Earth is forbidden territory. Your Planet is home to a Viltrumite!"

"Only this?"

Mark, next to Russell, breathed a sigh of relief. He had thought Allen would also warn Earth to immediately give up its arms and accept dominion, like his father.

"What do you mean, 'only this'? It's a Viltrumite!"

Allen gestured agitatedly.

His home Planet was destroyed by Viltrumites, and nearly all of his people were massacred!

"You're too late." Russell patted his shoulder, calming his excited emotions.

"Too late?"

"The Viltrumite you're talking about is my father. He tried to conquer Earth and was defeated by my Russell," Mark said with a sigh.

"What? You defeated a Viltrumite?"

Allen looked at Russell in disbelief.

"No World in the galaxy has ever defeated a Viltrumite. This is incredible!"

Allen scrutinized Russell, as if looking at some incredibly rare creature.

"If I go back and tell the Interstellar Alliance about this, they will surely go crazy again! Oh, the Interstellar Alliance. I must tell them this news. This news can invigorate the entire galaxy."

Allen was extremely solemn, even performing a chest salute, thanking Russell.

"The Interstellar Alliance is preparing to unite all Planets to fight the Viltrum Empire. This news couldn't be better!"

"Wait a minute, it's not that serious, is it?"

Mark's eyelids twitched. Was the Viltrum Empire that terrifying? It sounded like the entire galaxy had never successfully resisted a Viltrumite!

"Is Earth going to join the Interstellar Alliance? You heard what I just said. With your joining in, it would be easier for the Alliance to persuade other life Planets."

Allen's eyes sparkled.

"Not for now." Russell waved his hand, declining Allen's invitation.

Once the news of uncle Nolan's defeat reaches the Viltrum Empire, Earth's existence might suddenly become conspicuous. If it then joins the Interstellar Alliance, which is directly hostile to the Viltrum Empire, it would become even more of an eyesore and a thorn in their side.

"You can publicize this to encourage others, but Earth does not plan to join for now."

"Thank you."

Allen waved and left.

In low Earth orbit, Russell watched Allen fly away.

"Russell…" Mark's voice was a bit muffled. "Can we fight the Viltrum Empire?"

"Yes, we can."

Russell turned to Mark, encouragingly placing a hand on his shoulder, "We definitely can!"

X-Men Universe

The former Presidential Palace had been stripped of its exaggerated luxurious decorations and restored to simplicity, looking like a proper office building.

In the office, Magneto, no longer surrounded by steel, was now buried in documents all day. The entire country was in ruins awaiting reconstruction, and a series of policies and approvals required his decision-making.

It gave him a headache, making him frown unconsciously, looking spiritless, and even acquiring a hint of a working-class smell.

"Father, Russell is here."

The office door was pushed open, and Russell followed Wanda in, surveying the redecorated office. The wall he had broken during his last intrusion had been repaired.

"What do you want?"

Russell sat on the sofa.

Magneto snorted coldly.

"The new Genosha, with a political system modeled after ancient Rome, has two consuls, you and I serving as such. But you, the left consul and head of state, are quite something, simply dumping all the affairs on me."

"I haven't done nothing. Didn't I provide all the gold for Genosha's reconstruction?"

Russell spread his hands.

The most important thing for a country to be built is its economy. Since he provided all of this alone, wasn't his contribution significant?

The Invincible World side had come to a temporary halt, allowing for a period of recuperation. His Conquest Points were extremely close to the 100,000 Mark.

And as long as he exchanged for the Allen template and quickly pushed its potential to the peak with his Immortal ability, even if the entire Viltrum Empire came, they would have to think twice.

Each Viltrumite who dies means one less, and the Regent and others would not dare to fight to the death.

So Russell came to the X-Men Universe to see how Genosha's recovery was progressing.

As expected, the establishment of a Mutant nation, attracting Mutants from all over the World to join, would undoubtedly yield no less Conquest Points than preventing Omni-Man from conquering the World.

"You're right, but you can't just conjure gold to fill the national treasury and then disappear. As a consul, you should do a bit more."

Magneto controlled a pile of photos to fly towards Russell.

"I'm bogged down with government affairs and can't get away. There's something now that only you can handle."

"This… what is this?"

Russell raised an eyebrow.

Several huge footprints on the asphalt road, an overturned special truck, and a group of escort personnel lying on the ground with broken bones and twisted muscles, looking like a robbery scene?

"Initially, it was just a batch of our gold, intended for purchasing construction materials, that was robbed.

But later, the robber seemed to have gotten a taste for it, specifically targeting our Genosha escort vehicles. Sometimes it was goods, which he angrily destroyed after discovering they weren't gold.

Sometimes it was gold, which he stole."

"A Mutant?"

Wanda looked up in surprise.

"Undoubtedly."

Magneto nodded.

"A Mutant strongman, two to three meters tall, with extremely strong physical abilities, wearing a heavy red metal helmet to conceal his face. I once sent Pyro, Avalanche, and Blob to deal with this Mutant.

Even Blob was soundly defeated in a direct confrontation with him."

"Blob said the opponent handled him as easily as an infant, casually throwing him dozens of miles."

"As the Minister of National Security, why don't I know about this?"

Wanda was surprised.

After Genosha was taken, Mutants generally held important positions.

"Hmph, you, the Minister of Security, are the same. Ever since you took office, you've either been holed up at home reading or designing and tinkering with the garden at your residence, living a leisurely life, not bothering with anything."

Being exposed by her strict father in front of Russell, Wanda stuck out her tongue in embarrassment.

"I've long dreamed of having my own garden. Before, when I was constantly on the move with you, Father, I didn't have the conditions. Now that I have the opportunity, I got a bit carried away."

Actually, asking a twenty-year-old girl to be responsible for a country's security department was too harsh.

Magneto truly had no one else to use. Even Quicksilver, with his playful, impatient, and unreliable personality, had to become a minister of an emergency mobile department.

"Juggernaut…"

Incredibly powerful physical strength, coupled with the appearance Magneto described, quickly brought a figure to Russell's mind.

If it was him, it was only natural that Pyro and John couldn't deal with him.

Juggernaut is a tough character who can brawl with Hulk and hold his own for a short time. Although Hulk's rage would eventually lead to Juggernaut's defeat, he's still formidable enough.

"It seems I'm the only one who can go?"

The other members of the Brotherhood had all tried and failed. Russell stood up and smiled.

"If you're willing, we can switch. You handle these government affairs, and I'll deal with that guy. Pyro and the others say he's a brainless brute with a steel helmet on his head. I think he'll be easy for me to handle."

Magneto said.

"No, thank you." Russell looked at the mountain of documents and raised his hands in surrender.

"Actually, this matter should have been Wanda's responsibility as the Minister of Security, but… You and Wanda go together. You two can also look out for each other."

The old father was actually a bit worried about his daughter's safety. Plus, Russell, as the head of state, doing nothing all day was truly inappropriate, which is why Magneto sought him out.

Also… there was a bit of his own ulterior motive.

Magneto looked at the two young people in front of him, a handsome man and a beautiful woman, and mused.

"Ideally, after teaching him a lesson, we should recruit him into our ranks. With his strength, he would be a fierce general to charge into battle for our cause."

"Hmm—what do you think?"

He asked Russell for his opinion.

It was clear that Magneto was accustomed to being an unquestionable leader and was a bit unaccustomed to asking someone else before doing something.

However, Magneto probably wouldn't have to endure such days for much longer.

"I have no objections."

Russell nodded.
