Invincible: The Emperor

Chapter 3: The Vessel - Part 2

*Universal Date: 2nd Millennium*

The family I chose was of English descent, with the proper genes that could lead to a suitable vessel. Decent people living and tending to a farm, one that would inevitably collapse in the future as technology developed and cities were constructed. I believe their land would be purchased or taken form and eventually turned into...Bristol or perhaps another city but it didn't matter.

As long as I tried to influence the minds of humans they would eventually do what I wanted them to. They would eventually get on a ship, go towards America help establish a colony, yadda yadda, and eventually a body perfect for my being would be born. Then I would go out and carve a piece of land for myself, a place where I could experiment and figure out the best way to spread technology amongst the masses.

Couldn't just come out of nowhere with a plasma gun or whatever it would be called in the future when they barely got gunpowder down. That and having a large piece of land that I could rent or sell for potential funding could also be useful. Preferably an area with a large amount of ores and other precious metals readily available. Well as I said, I had all the time to plan things and figure out the best strategy for what is/needs to come.

*Timeskip: 150 years later*

*Universal Date: 2nd Millennium*

It seemed as though time passed by quickly, new and old souls came back to the overflowing river, all the while the world moved on. Just as predicted the original family descendants had to move out eventually because of well on reason or another, eventually settling near a port town that would eventually be filled with Piligrams wanting to go to the new world.

They would be among those who disapproved of the religious choices the vast majority of the people of England followed. At least that was the just of things as it was far more complicated with a vast array of different reasons beyond that but mostly religious/criminals in some cases.

Again though didn't matter as all I had to do was subtly shift their minds/consciousness a bit to get them more in line with their beliefs. Then came the hard part, getting them to meet the right people, making connections that type of thing.

While I wasn't the biggest fan of their religion or any in general due to the very nature of the immaterial realm, and the growing corruption within. I would say it is a useful tool to have at one's disposal, especially when manipulating people and their desires.

I had to essentially mind-control quite a few people to get them to cross paths, and get families and religious figures to meet, talk, and make connections. The easiest way to get things done and make sure the right people meet.

After all that, the whole family was invited onto the boat to come to the "new world" and make a new place for themselves. Simple enough and I made sure to follow them in case something disastrous happened which was a possibility.

Then after clearing out a few storms that took a lot of my energy, they made it to land eventually in what would be called North Carolina. An unfortunate situation for me as I felt the pull of The Warp, the stench of chaos permitted the place somehow but not enough to cause anything unnatural, not yet at least.

Well, my birth would, unfortunately, be the tipping point and the tear would open up, right now I could stall it but not stop. I was currently a being of the immaterial and I could barely do anything in the material until I was born. Once I had a proper foothold in both, I could stop things like this from happening.

Well, at least that's what I hoped as I had no basis or previous example to base this on. It was my best chance however at closing the florist and making sure nothing came out of it.

It was possible though that whatever colony lived near it would be sucked in but it would be easy enough. A couple of futures had this exact kind of scenario play out. It didn't matter though, sometimes sacrifices must be made so that others can survive how many though is the question. Wouldn't matter though as soon enough the veil between the material and immaterial would break, at least by the 30th millennium.

However, based on what I was sensing it could be sooner than I originally had planned for or perhaps this was a unique event. I found countless futures that showed me the possibility but it was a bit too far ahead in the timeline to the point I couldn't tell if this would be my own or a distant one.

Well, telling the future wasn't an exact science and things could go wrong or steer off course if not taken care of. Even now the future I wanted was starting to change even with my intervention. Something I didn't want to happen until I was able to take care of things personally.

Well, it would be soon enough as the ship holding my potential future vessel family was already on its way. They would make landfall soon enough and start their own new colony in the world and one thing after the other then bam I would be born.

Well the body itself would be, I'd be inhabiting it manipulating my body to rapidly grow and then change the minds of the colonists.

*Timeskip: 1 Year*

*Universal Date: 2nd Millennium*

A year is how long it took for the colonist to get their bearings, with the family eventually choosing to have another child well not exactly. I made sure they would want another child as I knew this one would be a proper vessel for me and I was right.

Once the child was born I could feel my soul naturally drawn towards it as though it were calling me. As I fully entered the body, new senses were available to me as I could finally interact with the world. I could smell the literal shit from the animals the colonist brought over as I was pretty sure I was born near a barn or something, I could even hear them which was not fun for a newborn baby's ears.

It didn't matter though as I gathered my psychic energy and began to manipulate my body's growth/gene to make some slight modifications. All the while the tear in reality grew bigger and bigger. By the time I could personally tend to it beings from the other side would begin dragging everything in, well that is if any were born yet. However, I guess it wouldn't matter as it started affecting the physical world and a storm would hit this place soon.

Oh, what was the colony called again...Roanoke, I believe?
