"Hurry up. Otherwise, I'll kiss you," Mike said in a deep voice.

He thought that even though Gwen was just an ordinary person, it would be good to have some physical strength now.

"I… I…" Gwen blushed. Just when she made up her mind and was about to kiss Mike, something unexpected happened on the field.

"The boss is here!"

Someone suddenly shouted, and the eleven thugs who were blocking the alley, including the bearded man lying on the ground vomiting bile, suddenly stood in a straight line against the walls on both sides, making way for a wide and unobstructed path.

Their faces were filled with flattery and enthusiasm. They stared toward the entrance of the alley outside, bowed their heads, and shouted in unison, "Boss!"

"Boss?"

Mike frowned and looked forward with the silver haired boy Gwen. Soon all three of them were stunned.

At the entrance of the alley stood a green-haired girl, only twelve or thirteen years old, walking in calmly.

The green-haired girl… should be called a loli.

She had long green hair, either natural or dyed, cascading over her shoulders. Her delicate face was covered with thick smoky makeup, making her appear older than her age. She wore a cropped top, short shorts that barely covered her hips, and colorful tights on her slender legs.

The green-haired loli boss appeared in front of Mike and Gwen in such a domineering manner.

"Boss, they—" The bearded man tried to explain.

"Shut up!" The green-haired loli, Luna, glanced at him coldly, her crisp yet chilling voice silencing the man instantly.

Luna walked into the alley and approached Mike's group. Her big eyes, layered with icy indifference, scanned Mike, the boy, and Gwen.

Her gaze lingered on the boy for a moment before shifting to Mike, who stood protectively in front of the other two.

Thud!

Luna raised one leg high, almost doing a split, and planted her foot on the wall next to Mike's elbow. Though her short stature limited her reach, her attitude exuded dominance.

"What's your name?" Luna leaned closer, nudging Mike against the wall with her foot, her tone filled with curiosity.

"Mike." He replied calmly.

"You better remember it!"

Luna grinned widely, "My name is Luna. I believe in you. Be my little brother!"

This was an unusual scene.

At the entrance of the dark alley, twelve tall and rugged gang members stood obediently against the walls. Leading them was a green-haired girl who seemed far too young to be a gang leader.

Despite her delicate and tender face, her wild expression suggested a personality forged by hardships beyond her years.

"Hey, are you listening to me? Do you want to be my little brother or not—" Luna began but was cut off when Mike suddenly placed a hand on her head, gently ruffling her green hair.

!!!

The entire alley froze in shock.

The twelve gang members with dyed hair and tattoos widened their eyes in disbelief, some even gasping.

"It's over… That kid is dead!" One of them muttered.

Luna blinked, momentarily stunned. Then she swatted Mike's hand away, stepping back as she glared at him, "What do you think you're doing?"

"Well, there was dust on your head…" Mike said, though the truth was it had been a subconscious act of pity.

"Oh, I see." Luna nodded in sudden understanding.

The gang members exchanged incredulous looks, 'What?! Boss, are you serious?!'

Mike's expression turned serious as he said, "Sorry. I can't be your little brother. I'm not interested."

The gang members tensed again, expecting an outburst.

But to everyone's surprise, Luna simply stepped aside.

"Fine. You can leave." She said casually, leaning against the wall.

"You're letting us go?" Mike asked, suspicious.

"What, do you want me to treat you to a midnight snack instead?" Luna snorted.

"Boss!" The bearded man protested, unwilling to let them go.

"Make way!" Luna's icy tone left no room for argument.

Under her intimidating gaze, the gang reluctantly stepped aside.

Mike held Gwen and the boy's hands, leading them cautiously out of the alley. Once they reached the lively streets beyond, they stopped to catch their breath.

The crisis was finally over.

"You were awesome back there, brother!" The boy said, his eyes sparkling with admiration, "You knocked that guy down in just two moves!"

"What's so great about that? I almost got killed." Mike replied with a bitter smile.

"You're something else, little guy!" Gwen scolded the boy like an older sister, "Don't you know how dangerous that was?"

"Humph. If I'd run faster, he wouldn't have caught me!" The boy grumbled, pushing up his crooked goggles. Then, with a triumphant smile, he held up a women's bag.

"See? I got it back for the owner!"

Gwen sighed, rubbing her temples, "You're hopeless…"

Mike smiled faintly, "Let's just get out of here before something else happens."

Meanwhile, back in the alley.

Luna turned her cold gaze toward the gang, "Who told you to steal and beat up kids?"

The bearded man dropped to his knees, trembling, "Boss, I was wrong! I—"

His words were cut off as an invisible force gripped his throat. His body floated into the air, choking and flailing helplessly, just as he had done to the boy earlier.

Green light shimmered ominously in the alley as Luna's hair fluttered and her petite frame radiated a terrifying aura.

"There won't be a next time." She said coldly.

When she released him, the bearded man collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.

"Y-Yes, Boss!" The others stammered, drenched in sweat.

Luna gave them a final warning glance before walking away, leaving the gang too scared to utter another word.

Meanwhile with Mike and others.

"Hmph. I ran too slowly; otherwise, he definitely wouldn't have been able to catch up with me." The silver-haired boy, obviously unconvinced, added indignantly, "Besides, who asked him to steal other people's things? I was just helping someone get their stuff back."

He adjusted the crooked windshield goggles on his head and smiled proudly while holding the women's bag.

"Not bad! When you grow up, you'll be able to outrun anyone." Gwen encouraged.

"Of course!"

The silver-haired boy puffed out his chest confidently, then looked back at Mike and introduced himself, "Brother, my name is Pete Django Maximoff."

"Pete, huh?" Mike nodded, stroking Pete's fluffy silver hair, "It's already late. Don't stay out here alone. Go home. I'll take this bag to the local police station."

"Okay."

Pete handed the women's bag to Mike but then pulled him aside, stuffing a small piece of paper into Mike's hand. He whispered conspiratorially, "Brother, let me introduce my sister to you. She's definitely better than the one next to you..."

"This..." Mike was stunned.

"Ouch!" Pete yelped in pain as Gwen walked over with a half-smile, pinching his ear, "Little boy, what are you saying?"

"N-Nothing!" Pete stammered, quickly breaking free from Gwen's grip and running down the street. Halfway, he turned back and waved, "Brother, remember! My sister is great!"

"Are kids nowadays so precocious?" Gwen gritted her teeth, fuming slightly, "I should have known not to save him!"

"Just a kid." Mike said with a laugh. He glanced at the piece of paper in his hand, which had a detailed address and phone number written on it.

Gwen, noticing his expression, felt an inexplicable sense of unease, "Mike, you're not seriously thinking about meeting the sister he mentioned, are you?"

"How is that possible?" Mike shook his head and casually slipped the paper into his pocket.

___

Under the neon lights, a girl about thirteen years old stood gracefully at an intersection, waiting.

If Mike were there, he would immediately notice that this girl bore a slight resemblance to the green-haired gang leader they encountered earlier. But unlike the gang leader, this girl had waist-length bright red hair.

Her delicate face was as pure and beautiful as a doll's, untouched by makeup. She looked elegant and composed, wearing a simple school skirt that hinted at her future as a stunning beauty.

"Wanda!"

Pete's voice echoed as he sprinted toward her, waving his arms.

Wanda, the red-haired girl, glanced at him calmly, her demeanor cool and composed.

Pete, who had been fearless moments ago, immediately wilted under Wanda's steady gaze, looking like a scolded puppy.

"Have you caused trouble again?" Wanda asked softly.

Pete shook his head vigorously, "No, no trouble at all."

"Let's go home." Wanda said, turning to walk back toward their street.

Pete hurried to catch up, recounting the events of the night. Of course, he conveniently left out the part where he tried to introduce his sister to Mike.

Wanda listened intently, then said thoughtfully, "When I get the chance, I'll thank them in person. After all, you were in a lot of danger."

"Don't worry, there's a chance." Pete grinned, "I gave him our home address."

Wanda raised an eyebrow but said nothing as they reached their three-story house, where the lights were already on.

Unbeknownst to them, a green figure leaned against the corner of a nearby wall, watching. After the twins entered their home, the figure lingered briefly before disappearing into the night.

After Mike and Gwen handed the bag over to the police, they returned to the apartment just in time for the instructor's dormitory inspection.

Mike let out a sigh of relief. The night's events had been a close call.

"Two more days of travel and vacation," Mike thought. "Surely, nothing else can go wrong... Right?"

But little did he know, chaos was brewing elsewhere in New York City.

New York City: Cathedral

Inside a grand cathedral with vibrant murals and heavenly music, a peaceful gathering of elites was suddenly shattered.

BANG!

An evil young man with jet-black hair smashed a suited man onto a table in the center of the hall, then used a black-tech instrument to extract the man's eyes.

As the crowd screamed in terror, the young man, now clad in a glowing golden armor with a green cloak and wielding a scepter, strode leisurely toward the church doors. His appearance radiated an aura of power and menace.

Outside, he raised his scepter, releasing a powerful energy blast that destroyed a nearby police car.

"Kneel! Kneel before the God who will rule you!" He declared, his voice echoing like thunder.

___

The second day of the new year dawned bright and sunny over New York City.

Instructor Roth and deputy instructor Mysterio took the students to Hudson Liberty Island to visit the Statue of Liberty, a must-see attraction. The group spent the entire morning exploring the island and its parks.

By noon, the students were back in Manhattan, heading to the bustling Times Square. At the mall, the female students eagerly scattered into stores, while Mike opted to sit on a lounge chair on the fourth floor.

Glancing at Gwen, who sat quietly next to him, Mike asked curiously, "Don't you want to shop?"
