Michael did not bother to respond to Kate's mischievousness. Instead, he reminded, "Okay then. But remember, if there is anything that you need assistance with, you should remember to inform me about it."

Kate could be heard clicking her tongue after she failed to receive a response that she was looking for from Michael. But even then, she could hear the concern in his voice.

So, she replied, "I get it. Don't worry, if there is anything that I need your help with, I will not shy away from asking for your help."

"That's good." Michael nodded.

After that, the two of them chatted for quite a while. And, it seemed that Kate had quite a lot of things to say to him. Maybe, being away from home, had made her to be so talkative?

This was a complete contrast to the personality that she had displayed during their first interactions. But now, it seemed that her real personality was coming to life. If not for the issue related to the death of her father, maybe she would have been a completely different person?

Still, as he listened to her words, the tone, the way that she sounded, Michael could tell that her feelings towards him had not yet changed.

In fact, it felt as though the feelings were actually getting stronger? They were not interacting that much, but she was actually falling deeper? That was unexpected to him.

After chatting with Kate, Michael freshened up, before he went to the living room to eat breakfast that had been prepared by Adrian.

Since Onyx took over the issue of compiling the information on different skills, Lucas had been freed of his responsibilities. So, he was usually helping out where necessary.

And, recently, Michael had assigned him to go ahead and help Damian out. With the two of them taking action, it would be much easier for Annex supermarket chain to be able to stabilize.

After taking breakfast, Michael left the villa, before he drove the Audi. He was going to meet up with Alex and the others. This time, they were meeting at a famous KTV in the city, Luxe.

This KTV was located near the city center. So, it took quite a while for Michael to be able to drive from Riverside residential community all the way to the city center.

When he left home, he had already informed Alex that he was on his way. So, when he arrived at the KTV, he found that Alex was already waiting for him outside the KTV.

He was not alone, as the others, those who were usually within the group were all present. Of course, that was apart from Jessica.

Jessica, ever since she joined Sky Technologies, she had been kind of committed that she rarely hang out with Alex and the others.

That was something that most of Alex's group found to be strange. But still, Alex and a few others who knew about Jessica's personality, were not that surprised.

For them, they already knew about Jessica's background, and knew about her capabilities. Previously, they felt that she was wasting her talent. But none of them had advised her, considering that they did not really have a solution to her problems.

But it seemed that after she joined Sky Technologies, she had successfully attracted the attention of her parents. So, now, she was enjoying her life, and was even putting more effort in learning.

Back to the present, Michael got out of the car, and approached the group. And as he did, Alex smiled as he opened his arms wide, intending to embrace Michael.

Michael simply dodged to the side, which made the group snicker.

"Okay, let's go in. I have already made the reservations here." Alex did not mind that Michael did not intend to embrace him, as he was just joking anyway. So, he led the group into the KTV.

Considering that Alex and the others had visited this place several times, the security at the entrance did not cause trouble for them. As for Michael, even though this was the first time that he was here, since he was together with Alex and the others, nobody stopped him from entering into the KTV.

Normally, most KTVs operated from late into the day. But this KTV was kind of special. During the morning hours, from 9 in the morning to around 2 in the afternoon, it was usually the time for VIP only.

Only those that had VIP membership of the KTV were allowed in. And of course, since it was a VIP member only, it had its perks.

One of them was the fact that the service at this time was usually top notch. Additionally, they usually invited stars to perform for the guests.

But of course, only VIPs of a certain level and above were qualified to experience the performance of the stars. After all, these stars were not some small time celebrities.

Most of them were quite renown within the country. But of course, it was difficult for them to be able to invite the most popular artists. But even then, the artists that they could bring in usually hard a large fan base.

Luxe KTV was located in a nine-story building. And, the VIP room that Alex and the others had booked was located on the 7th floor.

It was spacious, enough to be able to accommodate all of them without much of a problem. Additionally, it was fully equipped.

Being his first time here, Michael looked around slightly curious. Soft gold lighting traced the walls, reflecting off dark panels and low leather seating arranged to face the main screen.

The sound system hummed faintly, tuned and waiting, while a polished table held untouched glasses and a discreet service bell.

Michael felt that this atmosphere was not that bad. At least, it would allow him to be able to relax his mind for a while.

The group sat down as soon as they entered the VIP room. Then, some of them began drinking a little, even though it was still morning.

As for Michael, after he sat down, he did not bother to drink anything. With his current physique, if he decided to drink alcohol, it would take quite a large amount of alcohol in order to be able to make him drunk.

But considering that he was just 18, there was no need for him to get involved in drinking. Additionally, he did not feel that he could get any pleasure in doing so. So, he did not bother.

"Who is going first? I want someone to set up the mood for us." Alex suddenly stood up as he asked while looking around.

"Let me do it. Last time, I only started when you guys stopped me. This time, you have to allow me to finish." Raymond immediately volunteered.

But no sooner did he volunteer did everyone around disagree.

""No way!""

This united refusal left Raymond dumbfounded. What was going on? Why did they not want him to sing? And, since he knew that they were coming to the KTV today, he had practiced the previous day.

He was intending to show off the new song that he had practiced. But now, he was being told that he could not sing?

Relentless, he began heading towards the stage, wanting to prove to them that his singing skills were the best within the group.

"Hey, where are you heading to? You better not ruin our mood, when we just arrived." Suddenly, Alex grabbed him, as he stopped him from heading towards the stage.

"Huh?" Raymond could not understand what Alex was trying to mean.

Dalton, upon seeing the expression that was on Raymond's face, he straightforwardly said, "Save your voice for negotiations, not for music, the speakers didn't do anything to deserve that."

Immediately after Dalton said those words, the entire room erupted into laughter. At the same time, Alex, who was still holding Raymond's hand also added, "Yeah, don't touch the mic. Friendship has limits."

If by now, Raymond could not pick out what this group was implying, then he would be a fool.

Feeling that his pride was being stepped on, he looked at the group and asked in a grumpy and cold voice, "Are you guys trying to tell me that I'm not suitable to sing?"

Nobody within the group was intimidated by Raymond's gaze. Even though Raymond was usually proud, and was intimidating at times, especially to those that did not know him, this group knew him well.

They had been friends for years now. So of course, they understood that despite his pride, Raymond would not do anything out of line. He could only intimidate others, but if it was in order to prove himself, he would prove himself with actions.

For instance, at the moment, looking at the group that was looking at him as though he was saying the obvious, he suddenly pulled away from Alex, as he tried to head to the stage.

He wanted to prove to all these people that his singing skills were the best. And the best way to do that was obviously to sing.

Unfortunately, before he could reach the stage, his shoulder was suddenly grabbed, and he was suddenly pulled back. This made him stagger backwards, that he nearly fell on his butt.

As he looked at who had pulled him, wanting to explode, he realized that it was Dalton.

Dalton, gazing directly into Raymond's eyes, he said, "You sing like you're trying to settle a personal grudge with the melody. We already saw that last time, and are not willing to experience it yet again."
