Chapter 141: Confronting President Liam
"And you are?" President Boski asked with a stern look on his face.
"I'm the Senior Advocate of the Democratic Republic of Nortasia," Camilia replied boldly as her glance struck against his.
"Hmm, it's rare to see a whore as an advocate these days... The young President must be special," President Liam said after giving a rude look.
"Excuse me, Mister President. But I would not have you insult my Advocate... Not in front of the Alliance conference gathering," Jayden suddenly cut in.
President Liam flinched.
Everyone around murmured at Jayden's challenge at that point, some even trying to gesture to him not to anger the Icelandian President.
But he didn't even spare a glance at them, sharp-eyed against the proud trio who were clearly known to be tyrants in the world of politics.
Jayden was not that wild politics guy... In fact, he didn't want to get himself involved in this type of issue, however, the system would always be the one changing his plans.
The second Black Level mission was clear...
[Task #02: Join the Alliance, face the World Powers and bring an end to their tyranny. Unite the world once again, stopping them from being apart.]
[Rewards: $500 Billion Dollars and 100 Wealth Points.]
The countries in the world were divided into two sides...
The countries joining the Alliance, and the countries against the Alliance... The Independent Society.
The Independent Society were the countries that had refused to join the Alliance and agree with the unfair deals with the President of Icelandia.
Sure, not joining must have meant they were in trouble, but the truth was...
The Independent Society also had a World Power country, one that was said could rival the defence facilities of Icelandia.
Icelandia hadn't risked plotting an attack on any of the countries joining The Independent Society, definitely because they didn't want to cause war with Nestonia, the largest country in the world.
However, Jayden's aim wasn't to keep one head, but to unite the world.
As the system had stated...
>[The main enemy is not who they think it is.]
"Seems you are a defender, right?" President Ruiz said. "Do you have an idea what damage you could cause for your country?" he asked.
Jayden nonchalantly remained calm.
"If I were you, I would go on my knees this minute and beg. You have no idea who you are messing with," President Liam stated, his tone laced with anger.
However, Jayden didn't even flinch.
"Actually, it's you who have messed with us. The Alliance is supposed to be respectful and fair, but no, the weaker countries are being used and humiliated. They wouldn't want to speak up due to fear... The fear you put in them..."
"As for me, I can't be afraid of any threat you raise. Nortasia is not honoring any alliance with Icelandia and that decision is final. And I have got a message for you, Mister President..."
Jayden paused for a moment and continued.
"Don't divide the world, or else you would regret it," he added before attempting to walk away when President Liam's voice made him halt.
"You dare to threaten me, boy?!" Liam Thompson stood up, his eyes burning as he bellowed.
"Nortasia is gonna face more of what Krest faced. I promise you. By the time I'm done, you would regret disrespecting Icelandia," Liam said.
Jayden nodded with a calm smile.
"Be my guest."
With that, he walked out of the building even before the meeting was over, as he and Camilia left Icelandia immediately.
"Good talk," Camilia said as they entered the car.
"You too. No one expected a young lady to have a say in such a discussion," Jayden said.
"I'm your Advocate, right?" Camilia asked.
Jayden nodded. "That's why I'm acknowledging you. You are strong and courageous."
Camilia blushed at that compliment, resting her head on his shoulders as they journeyed forward to the executive airport where their private jet was parked.
...
Soon, after flying to Nortasia, Jayden met with the ladies.
"I might have boldly confronted him, but that didn't change the fact that he's going to try destroying us. He has the weapons, the army, the story-cooking geniuses who would bring up a sudden war history that never happened between both countries."
"That way, his attacks on us would be justified, and no one would save us," Jayden said.
Camilia stepped forward and continued.
"We have to create a strong army. A mighty and impenetrable defence system. Weapons too."
"I've got that. Won't be much of a problem," Harper said.
"Harper, you don't understand..." Camilia cut in as she approached her, a very serious look on her face.
"This is not just some small project. It's going to be massive. We need many strong weapons to be able to match up with their strength. We need to put an end to the World Powers' unfairness, or we are going to be doomed," she added.
"I have an idea. Why don't we just join the Independent Society?" Becky asked.
"I already joined the Alliance. They would never accept Nortasia again. I joined the Alliance because there are more countries there... Countries with different potentials that would help when The Shield breaks. They would be very useful, only if they can break through from the chains of the Icelandian Government," Jayden replied.
Becky nodded to his response, understanding.
They all understood his plans after he explained his purposes of joining the Alliance.
But now, one thing was clear.
It was time for them to be at their best in their duties, especially the crucial roles that have to do with the defence.
******
(Somewhere in the countryside).
"We stole enough. Thanks to that fact. We would have been poor."
"That's why you are the wisest man in the world, father."
Arthur turned to his son and frowned.
"Wise? Idiot... A wise man wouldn't screw the chances of joining the Independent Society. They would have accepted the fact that I'm a King, and no one would have had the power to take me out of seat. I was a fool, son," Arthur said.
Kael shook his head and shrugged.
"Well, father... All that doesn't matter now. We have over a billion dollars in a secret account. Our generation would be rich forever," Kael said and smiled.
"What generation?"
Just then, they suddenly heard a strange voice from behind.
There in the balcony of the second floor at the mansion, three people could be seen.
One was dressed in black and masked, and in his hand was a pistol gun.
"Huh????"
Arthur and Kael had their eyes widened, seeing death right in front of their eyes.
"Well, I don't know the generation you are talking about, because..."
"There would be no generation from this bloody family."
