Infinite Providence: The First Legendary Death Supreme!

Chapter 98: Small Interruption!

This was the end of the 3rd month since Ken woke up in this world, and for the newbie cultivators, it had barely been half a year or less since they set foot in this new world of cultivation.

If we take the majority, then they were mostly not ready for such a grand competition where they had to fight against themselves, let alone seniors.

Most from this batch were still farmers or villagers just a few months prior, and even their top 100, who would be fighting in this competition, weren't much better, to the point of being able to participate.

But sometimes rewards and blind confidence do wonders for a person.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the arena has automatically selected the next matches for you, so do not worry about the lottery. Do look up to see your turn." Adam's voice rang out once again, only for it to disappear.

People heard his announcement and looked up at the scroll, which had multiple sections, and Ken, following the eyes of the disciples, looked up and swept his eyes alongside the participant's tree until he found himself right in the middle.

They were keeping him for when things got really warm and people started getting used to the new air of fighting and all.

On the side, there were the other batches and the inner and core sects, who had fewer participants even with more batches.

At this point in time, the VIP room didn't have that set 500 number of people, as after the inner sect elders' announcement of arrival, many who previously weren't coming did, but only a select few were allowed inside all the time and even allowed to participate in this competition.

Ken's eyes then fell all the way on the arena, and with his advanced vision, he could see everything clearly.

From his batch, a girl and a boy stood in front of each other awkwardly, not knowing why they were here nor what they were supposed to do.

They were the scapegoats who were thrown here to make things start moving, and they certainly didn't like it.

On the other side, from Lu's batch upwards, there were confident individuals who had taken their stances and were ready to fight all out to move on.

-----------

Once again inside of the control room, where Adam and his wife were having a calm conversation, an intruder who wasn't supposed to be here showed up from the wall in his shiny and flashy form.

When Adam and his wife, who was still covered, saw him, they smiled.

"Little Damdoum, did you forget about us?" The spirit, a half man and half serpent holding a cane from his 'old age', showing a slightly upset expression, called Adam by a funny nickname and spoke these words.

"Hmm? Would the spirits also like to participate?" Adam, feeling that he had messed up, asked.

"Well yeah, you can't imagine how well liked that little guy is by our young and old generations. Ken, was it?" The spirit casually noted these words and let Adam absorb the words slowly.

"So you're saying the spirits want to participate just to fight against Ken?" He asked, not believing that Ken's fame reached even that side.

"Pretty much, but you know that our race likes fighting with you humans, so it's a win-win. And don't worry, the upper echelons have managed to gather a good amount of rewards that shouldn't be less enticing than what you've gathered so far." The spirit said with a smile that made Adam's smile get much, much wider.

If rewards were given for the competition, then it meant that he, as the one who is behind everything, would also get paid a similar price.

"Well, you're welcome even without rewards, any condition?" Almost as if trying to keep his composure upon finding himself in front of such a large sum of money, Adam asked.

"Yes. We want the young ones to fight your outer sect, the experienced ones to fight the inner sect, and the geniuses to fight your core sect; they should be pretty familiar with each other." With these words the spirit brought out two storage rings and made them fly all the way to Adam's hand.

"The one with the gem is yours to keep." The serpent spirit smiled and disappeared.

Adam tightened his clutch on the storage rings and hurried to announce the news.

----------------

"Ladies and gentlemen, sorry to interrupt, but there will be a slight change to the competition." Adam's voice made everything stop.

A few minutes later, two new arenas were brought up for the spirits.

They would fight here for now, and when the core sect finished their fights, both core and official disciples would.

The remaining spirits would fight it out there.

Then the top 10 from each arena would fight each other.

Adam could have made them fight against each other from the start, but the new batches didn't have a chance to fight it out against each other, but they had the chance against spirits, so he kept things as they were.

"The rewards have also been updated. There will be spirit pills, ingredients, and spirit treasures up for grabs, so do your best... or your worst." And then, the competition was ready to start.

The spirits were on their side, the newbies on theirs, and then the experienced.

But out of all of them, the inner and core sect fighters had the most eyes.

The first to get up from their side was one of the monk elder's disciples, Wang Longtian, and Magga's disciple, who had made an impression on Ken, Kirill Dragonov.

The Core sects had one man and a lady who was covered in a pink flowery fog; the man was named Ashton Hemsley, and the lady... Flower Princess, a nickname to hide her identity.

The inner sect also had 10 fighters, and then on the side of spirits, some young ones and others on the level of older batch disciples were waiting for their turn.

In a flash, many outer sect elders were floating down from Ken's table, deciding to take the mantle of arena supervisors.

Now, it was time for the real fun to begin.
