Infinite Providence: The First Legendary Death Supreme!

Chapter 104: Don't Use a Restraining Order Against Him!

Seeing how easily one of his former comrades was handled by Ken, Adam, who was in the control room, couldn't help but gasp.

This wasn't normal any longer, because there was a chance that the same could happen even if both were at the peak of their strength, unlike if Ken had fought against a foundation establishment realm individual.

It was a fatal mistake to use a restraining order against Ken, as that was something he had perfected as an art.

The entire audience watched in silence as Ken returned to his place and Shawn did the same.

This went entirely differently from the script they had in mind.

Where was the struggle? Where was the heated fight? Where's the difficulty of a junior in front of a senior?

Well, if they learned one thing, it was that if you're up against Ken, just pray that he doesn't use the restraining order, because if he does, it's game over.

Fortunately, such a thing didn't happen again.

Ken had only used it because Shawn did, and he wanted to mess around with him; thus, the result.

But for the next few matches against disciples from his and Lu's batches, which he handled as easily, there was no restraining order.

Then came another match against a disciple from Adam's batch, but due to her not being as qualified, Ken didn't meet much difficulty.

At this point, people wondered if Ken would have a hard time even against inner sect disciples, but to know, they had to wait until the third phase.

And the third phase didn't wait for anyone; as with the matches coming and going like a breeze, the top 10 from each side were decided, and Ken had once more won first place.

-----------

"Ladies and gentlemen, the third phase of our grand competition is starting, and everything is coming to an end. For those who have managed to win the first phase but lost during the second, you may rejoice as the rewards are delivered to your houses at the moment." Adam started his announcement as people waited for the scroll on top to change and display the next matches.

"And for those who have managed to pass to the third phase, your rewards for winning the second phase will also be delivered, so do your best to make that three rounds of rewards."

"Now for the matches." With these words the scroll changed, and everyone looked at the next match.

Ken against a Fledgling Phoenix Spirit who's as strong as an inner sect disciple.

"Well... this will be a good match." Some comments passed here and there, but this was the general message.

While cultivators used techniques that required understanding, spirits could have access to spirit arts as well as their innate skills.

Skills that stem from their bloodline and race, and they're trickier to work with.

Not to mention that they could also learn techniques, assuming they have a physical body to go with it; otherwise, they might need to make adjustments.

All in all, it meant that Ken won't have an easy match anymore, or so everybody thought.

Because at this point, they dared not assume anything when it came to Ken.

The tournament has been going on for hours, but it hasn't yet reached the 6-hour mark; thus, it was decided that for the final phase, 4 matches will be fought at once and given a time limit of 10 minutes.

That way the 80 combatants in total will become 40 in at most an hour and a half, then 20, then 10, then fight for first place by the time the 6-hour mark ends and it is time for the gathering to rest and prepare for another elder lecture.

As usual, Ken flew down to his arena, and now, due to the rule set in place, he had a much larger place to move around in, and it was needed due to the skills of this particular spirit race.

The Verdant Phoenix spirit race, a subspecies of phoenixes who are said to have gone extinct who knows how many years ago.

Ken hadn't been lazy and also read a lot about spirits due to them being so close to him, and in the same way one reads about enemies, they have to read about allies.

Thus, resulting in him knowing what he was going to deal with.

"It's an honor to be the first spirit to fight against Ken, our race's contributor." The phoenix floating in the air with the wind converging around it and its entire body being made from shiny green light used one of its wings to show respect, and Ken nodded slowly as a show of acknowledgement.

Some people who had no idea what Ken had done to have such a high status within the spirit race started asking questions, and spirits who were sitting close by answered, and in no less than 5 minutes, most people knew that Ken had given free training to the spirits while beating the living hell out of them inside of the Ascension Tower.

The Elder Master flew down, and upon asking the famous question, raised his hands and called the start of the match.

"Let the match start!"

*Fwsh* *Fwsh* *Fwsh*

The phoenix seemed to have an aggressive personality as it went for the offensive directly, sending a barrage of fiery wings at Ken.

The man, however, easily dodged a few, and once he summoned his weapon and transformed it into chains, he started rotating it with all of his force to use it as a shield.

And as a result, not a single feather so much as touched him.

"Impressive!" The phoenix shouted out before it launched itself at him.

Ken, who was already rotating his chains, used that same momentum, and before the phoenix could reach him, it noticed a spear-like weapon coming towards it.

"Hmph!"

*Fwsh

The phoenix thought that it was easy to dodge, and it did so; however, Ken, who had a crazy mastery over his weapon, launched the second hand at the first chain, and before the phoenix could react, the blade of his left chain hit a specific area of his right chain, changing its direction, and pinning the phoenix to the ground.

"Kreee!"
