INCARNATION GONE WRONG

Chapter 5: Useless Seed E

Unfortunately, his retaliation seems useless. Forget the beast's ferocious fangs. The terrifying sound of growl while the beast gnaws his shoulder is enough to make his mind disarray.

The beast keeps shaking its head as it harshly tries to pull his flesh apart. Once it manages to pull some flesh off that shoulder, Irvine's screams of pain suddenly stop. His brain can no longer handle the trauma and instinctively makes him experience a blackout.

But soon…

Deg!!!

The beast oddly seems intimidated by something. Its instinct can clearly feel the odd change in the air. Agitated, it then starts wildly barking so close to Irvine's face.

The tip of Irvine's pinky finger slightly moves and accidentally touches something on the floor. His eyes suddenly open, glaring with murderous intent. Without knowing what kind of thing he just touched, he simply grabs it and slams that thing to the beast's neck.

Jleb!!!

Warm blood flows wetting his hand. It turns out to be a broken crowbar which is effective making the beast stop barking.

He then pulls the crowbar out of the beast's neck, and then…

Zrsh! Zrsh! Zrsh!!!

He blindly stabs the beast's neck so many times. Blood splatters all over the place, painting that already dirty floor with nasty image.

"There's no free dinner for you tonight!" He suddenly becomes so fierce, yet his voice sounds so calm and cold.

The beast is still pinning him down with its strong claws still stuck in his flesh. However, as if completely losing his sanity, he bites the beast's injured neck while stabbing the broken crowbar into its chest.

This is the first time he goes crazy to this extent, like he is an entirely different person. He keeps stabbing the same area so many times, until the beast lifelessly falls on him.

"There's no way I'm going to let an insignificant dog beat me!"

After pulling the broken crowbar, he coldly shoves the beast's dead body away.

His left shoulder has been torn so badly, red with so much fresh blood. The wound has started regenerating, but he doesn't look so enthusiastic with what he sees.

"Sigh! How am I going to fight a Nephilim with a weak vessel like this one?"

With a fallen left arm, he slowly gets up like a raising zombie. His right hand is still holding the broken crowbar tightly, knowing that he has been surrounded by dozens of other white fangs.

The thing is, these beasts have been witnessing his madness for a while. His desperate retaliation was effective enough to make them hesitate.

"What are you looking at? Come and fight me if you dare!"

A suffocating aura suddenly fills the atmosphere. A few of the beast jerk away. Although their savage growls are still quite audible, none of them approaches him.

On the other hand…

"Oh, God! My vision is getting blurry!"

Fresh blood is still dripping from the tip of his broken crowbar. Most of it is actually the blood from his wounded shoulder. He shakes his head and slowly takes a deep breath, preparing himself for another death match.

However, the beasts' survival instinct prevents them from approaching him. Despite Irvine's fragile look, they fear of something unknown, and ultimately leave that place one by one.

"Smart move! You better leave now before I kill you!"

That's what he said. Due to the blood lost, he finally collapses but is still able to maintain his consciousness. The pain in his torn shoulder is still there, throbbing, sending complaints to his head.

And then, four hours after enduring the excruciating pain…

"At last!"

He sits up, and finds the wound on his left shoulder have already 75 % healed. There are still some small open wounds left, but he ignores it.

"Let's get back to your dormitory, shall we?"

As he goes back to the highway, he leaves trace of blood that dripping from the broken crowbar. Some white fangs follow that trace of blood. They don't dare to get any closer to him, but still following him for miles.

Once he reaches the gate of Frasklock western border, only then do the beasts stop following him. And somehow, his terrible look makes the gatekeepers mistaking him as a walking zombie amongst a legion of beasts.

They immediately raise their guns, ready to open fire. But...

"Hold on! Wait! That's… That's the kid this afternoon."

"Are you sure?"

One of the gatekeepers opens fire to the sky as a warning. The white fangs aghast and immediately scram, with the gray-haired young man keeps walking toward the gate.

"Kid! Are you still alive?"

"Is that blood in your clothes?"

They question him, suspecting that he might have killed someone. But he keeps walking in silent without saying a word.

One of them after him and holds his shoulder. "Hey! Whose blood is on your clothes?"

He simply glances to that gatekeeper. "It's the beast's blood!"

"What?"

He takes a glance to the gatekeeper's hand on his shoulder, and then glances back to that gatekeeper with an expressionless cold stare.

"It tried to gnaw on that shoulder, so I killed it!"

His dead stare gives the gatekeeper a feeling of dread. Immediately, the gatekeeper takes his hand away by giving an awkward smile and lets him leave.

Fortunately, there's still a city bus taking this gray-haired young man back to Blemlisk Hill, where Ezlenmir Garden is located. Once he gets onto the bus and takes a seat, the other passengers start whispering to each other with uncomfortable expressions written in their faces.

They are actually students at Ezlenmir Academy, eight girls who just come back from a music concert. And they also recognize his face quite well.

"I think I know this smell!"

It's not only the dirty scenery. He also attacks them with foul stench of urine mixed with the pungent smell of blood.

"Isn't he that Seed E student?"

"I heard he was peed on in public by Mathias Burke and his friends!"

"Eeeeew!"

"So he did confront the Governor's son, huh?"

For some reason, he can hear their whispers and look back. He looks so intimidating, emitting odd aura to his surroundings. Well, as you expected, this is not Irvine Donovan anymore, but Livne Atniel who has taken control of Irvine's body.

Everyone turns silent, except for the two girls sitting at the very back.

"Just look at how skinny he is!"

"No matter in what aspect you see him, he is still useless!"
