Chapter 35: New Friend
That night, Aira, Witira and I had our dinner and much to my dissatisfaction I found that the bond my sister and witira shared was getting stronger and stronger.
The next day,
kriti returned and as if nothing happend Hrithik went to school along with his beloved sister.
In school everyone around Hrithik was paying more attention to him and as a matter of fact everyone had indeed heard about his kidnapping and all their gazes held admiration and sympathy. Especially for girls he was a Superhero, as they heard about the trigger point that led to the whole incident and they started to believe that despite his cold appearance, he was a warm guy and he was being protrayed as someone who could go to any length to protect those around him even if he didn't have the strength to do so.
Hrithik felt these gazes, but was confident that no matter what there people wouldn't dare to intrude his privacy so he didn't pry much and so his scheduled classes continued without any mishap and that can be said only till the lunch break.
He usually had his lunch with Aira initially she was nowhere to be seen but after some time he saw her coming to the Cafeteria while talking to someone curious to see his sister's new friend he tilted his body and was shocked to see MYRA. Dumbstruct by his sudden discovery he nearly fell from his seat but managed to regain his balance.
Aira spotted her brother without much hassle and ran towards him dragging Myra with her. " Brother, you remember this sister don't you?" she asked her face beaming brightly, bright enough to bring shame upon the stars.
Hrithik shook his head not to loose himself in her bright smile and replied with a flat stare " NO".
MYRA POV,
I am MYRA AGRAWAL, I am 18 and this is my last year in this school and I am well known in my school especially with boys, I didn't know how but this popularity of mine reached my juniors and ofcourse they tried to grab my attention by doing Some tricks, like flirting, boasting about their family's wealth and some even dared to propose me but five days back a guy overstepped his boundary.
Atleast that's what I thought.. Hrithik Oberoi a junior from my school, I didn't know someone like him existed in our school until my bus driver announced that he would be moving in a way different from our original route to pick up somebody named Hrithik.
As soon as this announcement was made people many around me started whispering among themselves about this person which aroused my curiousity but it didn't last long as my thoughts drifted away from him.
The bus stopped as announced earlier but I didn't pay it any mind and was scrolling my phone, everything was peaceful untill someone called me. It was siddarth and I knew him and also had some idea about his family, but I wasn't scared why? because my family had the means to protect me.
He wanted my seat if it was a request I would have complied but what he gave me was an order and I was no dog of his, so I rejected him in a pretty much rude manner but I didn't find anything wrong with my approach. But I guess my rejection hit him hard.
Suddenly saying something like remember me being a girl he streached his hand to chest and tried touching it, I was so irritated and with the martial arts my family taught I didn't see any need to hold back either but before I could do anything, another boy most probably Hrithik kicked him in his gutt and was pressing siddarth's chest firmly with his foot he said,"common bro it was just a seat there was no need for using your precious hands" his words reminded me of a classic hero saving the beauty scene and I couldn't help but think that all of this orchistrated and this was nothing but a merry trick to gain attention.
But the ways things transpired next made me doubt my thoughts, so today I came to him myself.
End of pov
A single word from him made Myra think that this person didn't even remember her face and she couldn't help but smile inwardly as she thought 'how amusing Myra, to think there would be a person who wouldn't remember you even after a exchanging words'.
