NOVEL NEXT Chapter 18: Periods
Our interrogation was proceeding smoothly but suddenly Witira out of nowhere was asking questions related to Tara like, did I meet her before or have we known each other.
There was hostility in her eyes when she talked about Tara, but I didn't show any reactions which could lead her to some unnecessary conclusions.
She impatiently asked "Hrithik did you by chance forget to tell anything" her question proved my suspicions right she definitely knew something but what, I couldn't figure it out.
Looking at her closely I answered "hmmm.. let me think"
As if giving time to clear my head someone knocked on the door, looking at it, I said
"Sorry for this, but I think this should be something important otherwise Kriti wouldn't have allowed it" to which Witira nodded in understanding.
Opening door, I saw Aira standing while holding a phone before I could ask her 'what was this about' she answered "Brother it's Dad, he called and said that he wanted to talk to you"
Smiling at her, I looked at Witira and said "Sorry Miss Witira, I have to take this"
Witira wasn't happy about it, but she couldn't do anything and said "It's okay, I am sure you will make it fast"
Nodding at her, I went to the balcony locked the door that separated balcony from my study ensuring none of them could neither see nor hear me.
After a few minutes
Ending my call and entering study I could see Witira and Aira chatting cheerfully.
I went to Aira and said"Why are you still here Aira, let me guess you want this phone don't you?"
Aira lowered her head and said"I completed all the homework, and now I want to play but since you are busy I thought I could play some games in mobile" making her look at me, I said "you can play but no games having guns, fights and killings promise me!"
Aira looked happy and said "okay, promise", she turned her head but, after taking a step she stopped as if realizing something, met my gaze and looking at me worriedly and said "Brother you are bleeding"
Her words made Witira look at me, and saw that my cream pant had red stains.
Aira saw Witira looking at me and said,"Sister You shouldn't be looking at it, it's considered indecent close your eyes" .
Her words surprised both Witira and me, but before we could ask anything Aira, gave me a towel to cover my pant "Sister you come with me and brother there is nothing to worry it's a very common phenomenon that occurs when you reach a certain age, so please relax and wait here I will call Kriti sister she will get you some things okay!"
By now anyone who isn't a fool could understand her words and so did I, yes she thinks I'm in my periods.
